Pipecarvers Pipes & things

So I mixed it again using the same ingredients: 3 ml silicone, and then 10 ml of each for a total of 33 ml in a gallon of water that was 130 PPM out the tap

Got 171 × 10 = 1710ppm
(@6.6pH)

Virtually the same result as the last time 🤷🏻View attachment 118686
10 ml of each M,G.B....wow that's a lot, 2nd week in flower for me -I don't use silicon but my mix would be 5/5/8/5/4 ml/gal with added Diamond Nectar & KoolBloom liquid With ppm somewhere around 900-1000/ 3rd week I start with Cal/mag I don't usually read my ppm but i doubt it gets over 1200 at any time. My well water is around 120ppm.

You getting back to your pens & pipes this winter? Maybe try some abstract art?
I hope to, I glued the magnets on your other 2 cats last night. They all hang now above their bowls on the fridge. Its the perfect spot for my 3 boys. It was an empty white wall. My camera is down stairs I'll take a pic this afternoon after I check my plants.

I cleaned up my workbench the last few days so I have access to all of my tools and a bit of space to use them. Its right next to my drying box though so no dust until I have everything bagged up and curing.

I have an issue with my radiator in the box. I checked yesterday and the res was 64f wtf its set at 51f. The pump running 24/7 gets too warm in too little water ( i Only added 6 gal) and it runs through a filter I use with the autopots. Its cool before the filter and warm after the filter so the filter is restricting the flow too much. Its not needed but I now need a connector to remove the filter and hook the 2 lines back up. Always something.

You get it all sorted over the weekend?

I was running around grocery shopping and getting things from my last brick grow store before it closed its doors for good. I hate buying online but the days coming I’ll no longer have any other option. 😒

So this upside down Devo hat / measuring spoon is why I was getting 1700ppm when using 2 teaspoons of each of the three GH products (plus 2.5 mL silicone).

I measured its teaspoon line compared to a normal cooking teaspoon and it's waaay more!

Now I use a syringe and draw up exactly 10 mL and with my water it equals right about 1100 PPM, quite a difference!20251211_222552.jpg

Ya that looks a bit large. I use 5ml droppers or a 40ml turkey baster I have taped measurements on. When I mix my nutes together I have a 1 gal water jug next to me I use to clean the turkey baster between nutes or if using small amounts these colored droppers each get their own nute.

Update, I flipped late, I had a plan of flipping early, like at 4 weeks but I had some issues getting all going, my pots cleaned, Getting Clay balls, and being lazy as fk took the most of my time between crops but I'm back with another 6 going into flower. Now that I have them feeding off the reservoir they have perked up and have a much better green to them but they are a lot bigger than I wanted at flip.

Since moving to my 5x5 I've had my blue 450nm lights running along side my 2 FC4000's to help keep them shorter I've also been running my green light full time with lights on and side lights. I took 4 cuts off 1 Strawberry Purps today and if they all sprout well, I'll plant allDec 12 crop at flip 2.JPGDec 12 crop at flip.JPGDec 12 cuts covered.JPGDec 12 cuts1.JPG in 1 pot and flower as soon as they start to grow, hopefully into flower in 1 month.

Now that I switched to Gaia and all the extra powders I use the shot glass more as well. Mines green writing but otherwise the same. Does four or five different measurements. 👊
I had a couple of 30ml syringes but they gummed up and got sticky. They weren't nice ones like Steam showed above but they got tossed years ago. I've 2 of these $ store Turkey baster they work like a charm 1765634163797.png

I had one of those barbecue injectors it might be out there 🤔 would only be in one box so I know where to look for it

I've used those bulb type but I'm using the syringe for now, it was just handy at the time that I found out that the Devo hat measuring scoop was way off cuz I didn't want to use my kitchen measuring spoons in the grow room

Hey Pipe,
What clay balls did you purchase, I'm running low and will have to buy some just to cover the domes a bit.

I picked up a large bag $55+ tax = $65 they are a bit larger than I've had in the past, This bag should last a long time, I do recycle them but balls get lost each time and I like the balls a lot better than the dome trays. I put the copper pad down, cover the net pots /domes /Clay balls soil.JPGClay balls.JPGclayballs info.JPG air stone with balls then soil on top

Hey Pipe, what’s up in the grow room today, that pump and dry box working well now?
Hey Gmorning, J2 as we speak. Not much I hope, We bought a new dryer so I have to scrap the old one. I'd like some parts, heck even the metal frame I should cut to have some sheet metal around, the blower looks brand new and the wiring components. When this new one goes in a few years I may have parts I can use....or not and they'll take up more space in my garage, the rollers, the drum as a BBQ??? fire box, Cat wheel???...lol...

My dry box is still a work in progress, I still need insulation.....and....either a new pump to fit the hose or an adapter to fit the 2 hoses together but in looking for an adapter I haven't been able to get what I want, I have 2 months to work on it. I'd also like an external pump so it doesn't heat the water like a submersible one does

Its warmed up a bunch, snows all gone maybe 10-11c today

Ya all our snows gone, including todays. Rain keeps washing it away. As long as it doesn’t freeze I’m good with that.

The wife’s got me tossing things rather than fixing them. Just as well as it’s becoming harder to find parts locally and ordering is hit/miss these days.

I hope the dry box works out. How well it works will depend on a bunch of things but it should work.

You visiting the kids are are they coming to you this holiday? Ours can’t swing it. Too much for three kids and a 200lbs dog and funds are tight.

Here’s hoping the new years better than this year. 👊

Big wind storm here last night, thousands without power this AM. ours blinked around 10pm but came back on, fked all of the clocks though utility's outage map1766240590183.png

I was once threatened with jail by a black out drunk korean war vet sheriff up here back in the day because i used to take all the extra milk cartons they'd leave behind the local grocery store all year. Literally years of sitting never being used and id line them with burlap and plant them outdoors when i first started growing when i had 120 acres of my uncles property to enjoy before he died and family tore it up for greed! I should prob just use those to get my mediums off the cold floor but that will mean short plants in the 7footer. My first reaction was maybe a heating mat that would turn off after like 2 hours on. Ive seen so many neat things done with milk crates dude!
Merry xmas

We used to own a small C / Video store and had a lot of them out back when we closed down our store. Very handy for a lot of things. The short soda crates are only 4" tall and don't really effect the height of my plants too much. I use Autopots and 1 tray fits one crate perfectly.

What a cool and thoughtful gift. That's pretty awesome.

Grow is looking great, to me 👊.

I had planned to use two of those soda crates to get my 2X4 off of the basement floor, but turned out to be a smidge too tall for my basement. I can't remember offhand, but I think I only have something like 7'-4" from the bottom of the floor joists to the basement floor. I still might trim a little off and try it. I think adding a block of treated wood in the center, or trimming to the same height as a brick, would be all the additional support needed to make these a great base and get the pots off of the cement floor.

I like the insulated board idea @steamroller went with, but, if we have flooding and lose power to the sump pump, I get some water down there. I've been looking into some of these battery power stations for back up. Those things have really come a long ways and I think I'm leaning that way versus the propane generator route.

Been a week Pipe, what’s up?

You’re tracking an electrical issue, building a better dry box, and running a tent full of plants.

Lots more crappy weather on the way too. We are still hopping between snow and rain, sometimes on the same day.

North of you my daughter has a foot or two of snow not including drifts. I don’t think you’re that bad yet.

I’m guessing you take the winter off rather than try to hit the gym this time of year.

Do you leave the cat apparatus open all winter of close it off when it gets too cold or snowy?

Hey Gmorning, -14c overnight a light dusting of snow. all 3 of my boys are in the living room with us. They still go out side onto their equipment but not for long and they're pretty spirited when they come back in. Qnight uses it a lot, the other 2 not as much, Qnight just went out side I can hear the flapper on their cat door open and close.

No gym, getting fat again, gym closed its doors last June and we've been eating Pizza since then......not everyday...lol.....but its the sign we're on the wrong road to thinness.

My crop is meh, 2 Strawberry Purps have all yellow leaves, they don't like the feed I guess, they look locked up but the others are fine....except I noticed flies in there yesterday on my humidifier, dead from the mist. Now I have to deal with them.....3 of my 6 look fine and they are all flowering okay, even the yellow leaved ones but I don't expect much from them now at only 3 weeks in flower.I'm upstairs still I'll post some pics when I get down to my plants.
