Iced Wildberry - New setup

Lookin sick man. You have more trichs than I have on any of my 8. What are your day and night temp/rh avgs?
It’s hot here and been fighting it. Grow room has an outside wall that sees sun all day which doesn’t help one bit. Lesson learned in the new grow space. Need to change my light schedule to where the lights are on during evening hours and off during the day to prevent fighting summer temps.
I don’t have my inkbird thermostat controller hooked up or I would have been able to tell you exactly what the trends have been… using the AC infinity controller to run fan and displays temps. I been seeing 81-85 during lights on and about 72-75 lights off. Too large of a swing but still nothing crazy either.
I’ll get it better dialed in for the next cycle.

Damn bro that is insane those are all the same. Cool to see what you meant by not wanting to split up the packs you got. You are a pheno hunter true and true. I was watching episodes 2 and 3 of the strain hunters on netflix last night. fkin awesome shit man check it out.
What wicked different expressions from them all. After close review this my fave :eek:out of them

Thanks Coco Lopez. I do believe she may be the keeper. Definitely has the most frost. I hope her terps match the frost. I over fertilized this round so I may run the same soil next run with minimal amendments.
Going to move the grow to the basement too. That room has an exterior wall that keeps maintaining temps in the room pain. They didn’t stretch as much as I thought they would so the basement may work out better. Clones are taking off and will have to transplant today. Running from clone should make it easier to dial these ladies in too.
So many fire genetics so little time. 😂 I’m not sure if I’ll runs this back again or just keep a mother plant of the one you liked.

She sure looks it man. I thought I had finally fully grasped why you were so adamant about not breaking bean packs up. Never forget when you said something like "I'd never forgive myself if I gave away the one pheno I was hunting all along". Takes those images of such various expressions from same strain to see what you really meant.

oOO basement damn. What I would do to have one here. I'm literally the opposite and am upstairs bordering the attic, which mind you appears to have been insulated by a 7 year old who was new at best. You can see directly outside if go into the attic. So in essence once it hits 120+ here outside, all that is being insulated is a Beelzebub ghost chillin up their with a cup of lava. Grass always greener on the other side hah

Yeah I'm done guessing on genetics. Didn't realize how much I was winging it by running 1 single bean of a gang of strains from a gang of breeders. Hah dang right about so little time and so much fire to grow. At one point @ZombieRider and I fel into a beanhole and couldn't get up lmao. He ended up with some fire from all over the place like the Jewnetix 😆 he finishing up now. I like to lie to myself though and act like I'm done strain hunting. It is easier to grasp then accepting I'm a lifer 🤣

Yeah brother, crazy how different each pheno of the same cultivar can be. I’m hoping there is a keeper in here but if not, on to the next cultivar…
I did end up getting another 5x5. Going with AC Infinity on this set up. Let me tell you, the 8” in-line is a huge upgrade over their 6”. Shit moves air like a turbine engine. Lol.
I’m shooting for a perpetual grow so I’ll have one tent for veg and one for flower. Should be able to harvest every 2-3 months. More importantly, I can get through pheno hunting much faster.
Basement is much cooler with temps. I’m guessing I’m only going to have to add heat which is much easier than adding A/C.
Still learning with this all encompassing dry amendment regimen. I over did it this run and seems like N is too high. I’ll give it it’s fair shake and give it a few runs to see if I can get the results I’m looking for. I like the simplicity but at the same time miss the control of mixing your own amendments.

I've been seriously considering replacing the T6 I have in the 5 x 5 with the T8 for the same reasons you mentioned. The T6 takes a while to get to parity so it gets put through it's paces. I have the tent in a office lung room so it's not so bad but I really think for a 5 x 5 the T8 is a better match than the T6.

Sup bro, haha I remember the Bean Hole we fell into! Which is your favorite pack that you've gotten since then? What breeders have you been scoping out?

I agree pheno hunting is what were doing and one seed per pack is gonna be difficult to find the one, but still possible. Cant wait to try out Dragon's Flame Genetics, his gear looks fantastic and mold resistant which is cool cuz of where I live. Gonna be the next seeds I pop next couple weeks.

whoa dual tenting/perp harving. I know you can pull it off. Will they be in the same room?

Ooo nice all AC infinity shiz eh? Which controller did you get? I fked up not once but twice lol 1st one I accidentally bought the model 1 down from what I wanted and 2nd time did same thing 🤣 If could go back I'd have bought both of the wi-fi ones for sure.
Damnnn 6" to the ole Eighter! That is almost double the air flow. 28" area jumps to 50" as far as diameter of air flow.

Yeah I'm likin the dry amendments and love the AC infinity cloth bags. I don't have any more soil at all except what I'm growing in plus EWC, mushroom compost, 100lbs of local compost, gypsum, and a few other amendments. I think I am going to keep my soil and try to run it again. I really like Coast of Maine seed starter soil to start them in though. I''m going to order a bag of that for sure. I had 9 plants in solos and only 2 were in Coast of Maine. They pawned the other 8 to a degree that it was obvious.

Are you going to run more of the same beans and just keep your fave from this run? Try to see if can hunt a better pheno that the mother you keep?

be like Nike and JUST DO IT! Almost doubles the air flow like whoa

Ya just when you think you have enough 😆 hey before I forget. Have you seen all 4 of the strain hunters doc about south africa? Was peepin it last week and thought of you cause I know you met Franco. I know you have watched some of their shiz but didn't know if you saw these 4 yet. So cool to see how far they reached and how passionate they are.
Honestly man I've probably had much better genetics than my grows have shown so it is hard to pick a favorite when so many didn't turn out like planned. I would say my favorite was the only one I cloned which was Barneys Farms Mimosa x Orange Punch. That is probably tied with both strains from my very 1st grow which were White Widow from @SeedDude and Chem Cookies from Mamiko Seeds. Everything else I botched too bad to really enjoy.

oO nice going with some Dragon gear. Can't go wrong and haven't seen anything but dank fire from him. I definitely hope to in a a couple runs from now.

After these 7 strains finish in a month or so I'm running ABS(Apple Banana Shugga) and GSK(Grape Shugga Kookies) from someone local in AZ called Patience Genetics.

“Shhuga” hunted rare pheno of Sugar Cane from Inhouse Genetics- (Slurricane (Dosidos x Purple Punch) x Platinum. Pheno chosen has sugary, gassy, toffee like terp profile. Very potent, extreme trichome production, super short 45 day flowering time.

“Apple Banana” hunted pheno of White Apple Runtz from Starfire Genetix- (White Runtz Cut x Apples & Bananas Cut (Compound Genetics). Pheno chosen terp profile reminiscent of Apple and Banana Candy. Very potent, heavy trichome production, monstrous yields.

“Grape Cookiez” hunted pheno of Grape Cookiez from South Beach Genetics (rare) (Grape Stomper x Cherry Pie x Wedding Cake F4). With help of a fellow grower we have found that it is same strain going as “Grape Cake” by Seed Junky which I believe came later. Pheno chosen had strong Sweet Grape and slight cherry terp profile with added flavors of cookies/cake. Very potent, heavy trichomes, heavy yields.

I know. I gotta get a bar light too.
man this Phlizon fd8000 would fly well in a 5x5 and I think this hit is like 5 bones. Heavy fkr but incredibly well cooled. Somehow gives off almost no heat. In many ways it seems to pawn my HLG Blackbirds and they were both $700+

Same room. Both will be in my basement. Opposite sides of the basement.
Got the 69 Pro for the controller which looks pretty cool. I like using my ink birds for controlling temp and humidity but having a new set up and this controller only being $70 I think I’m going to give it a shot. I think having an app to set your lighting times will make it a hell of a lot easier that pulling and pushing in those stupid pins on the timer I’m using now.

@organic_cannabis_indoor Looks like you chose some good genetics this run....sheeeesh!! 🖖 :alien:
ZombieRider,
I don’t know much but I do know that 🧬 are about the most important aspect of growing. You can be the best grower in the world and if you have subpar 🧬 then you’ll get subpar results. Great genetics make an average grower look like a master grower 🌱.
With that said, I still need to dial in my dry amendment regimen. Going with pretty much craft blend from BAS only. Did use a bit of Gaia Green on this grow but I’m probably going to move on from that and see if the craft blend alone will get it done. I definitely added too much this round and I’m seeing access of nitrogen. Oh well, live and learn. That’s why we do this!

I'm on the lookout for a good used Gavita 1700e

yup, that is the one I meant to buy, twice ffs and glad you got the right one. That is also the cheapest I've seen them for. Were double that when I went to buy. I'm such a tool though that I've yet to actually utilize it's capabilities. Getting an alert on phone when exceed parameters is as far as I get. I want to be able to make it automatically adjust the speed, which I'm not positive but surely assumed it could do. For instance a way to say I want to maintain 78 in the tent, so when temp exceeds this then increase air flow speed until temp back within range.

I have an inkbird and am embarrassed to say it is still in the box. I can't figure out how to use it to my benefit. My portable AC when needed, regulates itself and kicks its AC on and off on its own.

I just bought a 69 Pro and it's supposed to be delivered this afternoon. It cost me $100. I'm using it to replace two separate Ink Bird temperature and humidity controllers. The main reason I decided to change is because the 69 Pro has multiple triggers for the same device. I need that for my tent fan.

I'm not sure what I'll do with the Ink Bird controllers. I'll probably think of something eventually.

I think having an app to set your lighting times will make it a hell of a lot easier that pulling and pushing in those stupid pins on the timer I’m using now.
It is much easier, especially if the controller can set its time from the network. I use Alexa smart plugs. Using them saves a port on the 69 Pro. They can also be monitored remotely.

yup, that is the one I meant to buy, twice ffs and glad you got the right one.

I think what you're looking for is "transition". If you press the gear at the top right then go to the "port" tab at the top (middle tab) you set a threshold & for every time it goes past that threshold it raises the level by one. So for instance if you set it to one degree, when the tent goes over temp fan comes on at lvl 1. If it raises a full degree over setpoint fan goes to 2, at 2 full degrees fan goes to 3 etc. Never used it myself because I'm mainly using smart plugs which don't recognize the levels. My understanding is it's available on all version of the controller 67 or 69
