This will be a VERY loose grow diary. I grow in both ProMix and coco using mainly Jack AB fertilizers depending on the size of the grow.

To start things off, in March of this year my wife was sprouting some seeds (non cannabis) for the outdoor garden in the smaller tent. I couldn't resist popping a few seeds, so i had a look in the seed drawer and found a bag labeled GG4 x White Widow. I got these from @Franksta a couple of years ago. These were freebies he threw in with the GG4 seeds.

I popped a few of these with the intentions of taking cuttings off of the nicest looking plant but to my surprise they turned out to be something i've never grown before, AUTOFLOWERS! Out of 4 seeds, one didn't sprout, one was a male, one looked like shit and I was left with one plant. I noticed these were autos at around 3 weeks they started to flower and the male was already showing balls.

My inclination was to chop them all and forget it but figured why not.. Here's what the one that was left is looking like. It's about 60 days since it began to flower.

It's a cute little plant, grown in Promix and Jack's. Was topped @ around 3 weeks.

It's been neglected, given too much light at times and still looks pretty good. It's a testament to how resilient our favorite plant is.

Hey guys, it's been a while. I hope everyone is doing and growing well. Just flipped some Dynasty Blue Magoo Bx2 into flower. I grew this last winter and the smoke was excellent. Hopefully this run is as good as the last. It's interesting because these cutting are from a clone i when i was flowering this strain last winter. It was the first time I cloned a flowering plant and re-vegged. It was an interesting process and the clone looked like a mutant until it didn't. It had these huge 1 finger leaves for a few weeks until it SLOWWWWWWLY started vegging again. Anyway, great to see everyone's grows!

SSGrower is temporarily locked out. Roots is still around but not daily.

Your SCROG looks good. 👊

I guess they're about 2 weeks from flip to 12/12. Some empty spots in the net but i don't really do any proper SCROG training as i'm much too lazy these days. The netting is really there just to support the buds. I find using nets from the beginning is a lot easier than staking buds/stalks that get to heavy as flowering progresses.

I'm running Jacks AB @ approx ~2.0 EC. Conventional wisdom says that's a little high but I've never have any luck running it lower than that. I've stopped using their recommended 'Bloom' formula at the beginning of 12/12 as I never really noticed much of a difference either way. Once I ran out of the bloom, I never bought it again and just use AB from start to finish.

I know not about jacks nutes, I use GH stuff but what I try to do with the nutes I have is follow this graph. I start adding cal/mag at week 3 and use my bloom nutes up and down as the graph shows. It works well for me and its a good visual for our plants needs.

The Part B (PureCal calnit) I use has a bit more calcium than Jack's brand and seems to do the trick for an entire grow. I messed around with HydroBuddy and making my own nutrients and feeding schedules from scratch for a while but found it was needlessly laborious for a home grower. I went back to using the simple AB formula and havent looked back. As trite as it sounds, it really does come down to genetics, growing environment and the drying process. I don't even think much about nutrients anymore.

I started with GH, then moved to Dynagrow and finally Jacks. They all give great results, I like Jacks because it's a dry fertilizer and cheap. At this point, I think i have enough fertilzer to last the rest of my life. hahah

Edit: For those considering using Jack's CalNit (part B), it works just fine as well.

ya I've been using GH stuff 30+ years, I'm too heavily invested in it to stop now. With 1/2 gal of 1 3/4 gal of another quarts as back up. half a bag of Bloom Dry, ect. If I ever run out of every thing all at once I may give Jacks a shot....ya like that will never happen...lol

I bought a 25 lb bag of Jack's 5-12-26 and another bag of Calcium Nitrate about 7 years ago and barely made a dent in them. ProMix HP is pretty cheap as well if you buy the big bale. If only the price of electric would go down!

Ya tell me about it, our bills are outrageous some months when I'm running heaters lights humidifiers, fans, 2 tents of equipment. We get letters from our elect company telling us we are double what our neighbors run....lol...they don't grow.

I use ABS Greenworld VPW30 a Promix like peat based Noname mix, about $10/bale less than Promix for me, A bale lasts me a long time I mix to 40% and atm I'm only using less than 2 gal of my mix per plant in Autopots. I have 8 plants in 4 pots with dividers in the pots. I'm trying to prove a point that with the Ap's you don't need a lot of soil for indoor grows. The trays do all the work and the soil just supports early root growth

I've never tried APs, looks interesting though. Might be something i'd like to try at some point. I did a few runs in coco being fed by a pump/timer. I barely used any coco, I forget what size fabric bags but they were small and the plants were fairly monstrous, very DWC like. However, dealing with a reservoir, drip/sprinkler stakes, manifolds, ejector pumps, water pumps, etc was too much for the small grows i do (4x4 tent). I went back to ProMix in pots and hand watering.

I grew in bubble buckets for loooooong time with GH fertilzer but at this stage of the game the bubblers are much to noisy for my lifestyle. haha

Auto pots are pretty easy, just gravity fed to a float valve with a tray. I mix a batch then add to reservoir. I don't have to dump anything I just add new nutes to old and carry on. A small pump on 3 min /hr to stir and break surface tension. With GH and my peat based mix there's no ph.ing any thing ever just nutes and water
