Kuwl...... MH FC 8000 EVO + 6 Plants

I seen some stuff about Athena in the AutoPots newsletter today
https://ctrk.klclick1.com/l/01JX091KFG1GRNSYWK7Y5BWCK7_6
He is doing a run using Athena.
Part 1 he explains a lot and I see I brought the wrong Athena product.
Eh, it worked pretty good anyway.
I like the soil mix he is using and the super chunky perlite too. I am going with mostly soil next time.
Each bag is $77 WOW
IMG_6524.pngIMG_6523.png
He put a good amount of perlite in the bottom instead of the clay balls I used this time.
Either way I go it’s going to be an expensive start up.
I have used and really like Mother Earth Groundswell with great results.
I think it’s about $35 a bag (1.5 cu ft).

Sunset Sunrise works.
Sunrise starts at 8am but Sunset starts at 750 I got it mixed up lol and missed it every time I was looking for it.
I finally noticed it when looking at the PAR value in the app.
Readjusted my deep reds and side lights and everything‘s good now.

I also adjusted the feed levels down to about 900 ppm and the light will go down to 85% tomorrow. I’m knocking it down 5% a week from now on..

I bought a bag of this same stuff for 35.00 canadian

Seems Canada has the best soil to buy .....not here tho.
Bunch of farmers, I guess. :ROFLMAO:
Took me forever to get the Pro Mix but they finally got it in.
But none of the premium soils I crave lol.

Heat and humi rising in the grow room.
I got it down to 87 n 52% ;shit fanalmost night time so the temp will drop soon,

I got a good guess to who's who!
I marked them accordingly and pretty sure I'm right.
As long as the smoke is good who cares? haha me!
Truffles is the shorty in the front right side.
Next to her in the other attached small pot is a Blue Dream.
The 2 in the back are LSD I could tell by the palm tree look on one, the other is similar.
Middly left is the other BD and on the other side, right middle, is Blue God.
Blue God has some big buds and a nice cola going for it.
Truffles has these smallish white buds, the plant is on the small side too.
5 Weeks tomorrow ;bday;gltleaf

Week 6 is here! Cruising along.

Moved the big shed to the corner of our property.
Was hard, had to remove the flooring to move it.
Tractor was of no use. I had to move it by shear force.
Took me a almost a week, with a pause cause of rain and another wk for me to recover.
Got some grass growing already, where it use to be.
Got it done tho.
IMG_6536.JPG
Also moved out my lazy Daughter's stuff out of the GH.
She was mad as hell and The next day, her and boyfriend, moved it to her place, with wagons, a few blocks away,
It's crazy no one in this family drives or owns a car but us, well we used to have a car.
So now trying to sprout some seeds in the GH with lil luck so far.
The cucumber seeds all sprouted and some of the chives also sprouted.
Have to use seeds, no way to get plants from HD or Walmart.

Plants are doing well.
A lil burn from my vigorus feed in previous weeks (1300ppm).
Down to 800 PPM and holding now.
I did add some Flower Fuel to both tanks and will continue that one more week.
1/4 tsp. per gal.

Light is 80% and will stay there till next week (7) then down another 5% to 75%
I'll turn off Deep Reds @ wk 8 prob.
10" above the highest and 65k lux reading at tree top lvl. Leaf temp is @ 77%
Not much tri's right now but did notice the sidelights are helping the buds nearest to get lots of sugar.
I wish I set up the side's a little sooner and had another set too.
IMG_E6548.JPG
My electric bill with this masive 800w light is less than my old 480w light.
$175 vs $250

I set humidifier @ 50% it rarely gets it down lower than that anyway.
I raise and lower intake/exhaust fans depending on the room temp/hummi
Cannot understand why the CO2 raises suddenly then goes down.
Intake air comes from a pipe leading to the alley. But not many cars use it.
IMG_6549.PNGThen goes back down after 20/30 mins or less.IMG_6550.PNG

Hey, Nice crop, That should last you a while eh. It looks like your lattice work is doing the job. All standing upright and looking great. Your yard is huge now...more work to mow it too, You'll need a ride on, then mowing the yard is fun and you'd have wheels to get to Home Depot with a small trailer

I hope but now I got the itch and can't wait till the next one.
I'll prob hold back as long as I can, to let the summer heat roll by
and start veggin' in Aug., maybe.

Yep, brought it ($400) before I owned the land, in anticipation of getting it.
I'm like a boy scout horder, almost always prepared. :ROFLMAO:

And you said you had no wheels....They're a pain in the ass to remove the mower deck and then get them back on ....but...it makes them easier to hop curbs with in traffic once they are removed....Cops would only give an old guy riding to Home Depot a warning anyways. Take advantage of our senior years plead senility and that you've lost it, they might give you an escort, lights and all...Hat on sideways and keep calling them dear.

I don’t look like a senior yet…but I’ve played the game once or twice. 😝

Gardening in the Green House
Finaly! Plants are growing nicely.
A lil behind schedule cause of all the bins in there but now I got it all to myself.
Got tomato's (3 kinds, cherry, roma and beersteak ), cucumbers, chives, onions, Hot peppers ( habanaro I think) and bell pepprers.
Not sure the peppers are sprouting yet but I have more seeds if they don't.
Might try to start them seeds in the 'grow room' instead of the GH.
Plants at Walmart were about $5 ea. went there today to stock up on goodies and stuff.
Did not buy any plants tho, too expensive for me.
I'll just try my luck at seeds.
Here's a look at them so far.
These 2 pic's are from when they were just sprouting, maybe 3 days old.
The cuuks are going wild! They always do here. I just transfered them into gal pots.
The others are barely above ground but just transfered to solo cups.
I'm using Miracle Grow and the rest of my Pro Mix for soil.
IMG_6554.JPGIMG_6552.JPG
These pics are 2 days later.
IMG_6559.JPGIMG_6560.JPG
Weed plants doing well too!
I swear the White trufles are getting a grow spurt.
Some of it is above the trellis now, not sure they were before but they are gaining bulk which is a relief to me.
Won't use small pots again. I will have to order 2 more 3.9's.
The beast in the bg is Blue God, I will have to order more of them seeds but already have some others for my next grow. darn!
IMG_6564.JPGIMG_6565.JPG

Week 7
Battling high temps and high humidity here.
Temp in the room was up in the high 80's RH was @59 at one point.
Now at 86 and 54 got 3 fans going, intake is at 0, exhaust at 3 for now.
This weeks going into the 90's and above the weather bug says.
I might have to run a duct from the cellar window that goes to a crawl space
into my grow room to get some cooler air in there.
In which I would have to fabricate some cardboard to seal the open window and cut a hole for
the duct then, and here's the hard part, somehow make a hole into my room for the duct to fit in.
Complicated.
Anyway I put in the rez tank a gallon n a half jugs of frozen water to keep the tank water temp down.
Which in turn feeds the pots some nice cool water. idk maybe it helps.
I'm letter the tanks drain down before changing the nute mix.
So maybe 2 or 3 more days, then out goes Core and Cal/Mag and in comes Fade.
To me it looks like 3 more weeks to go.
Deep Reds are staying on for another week at least.
Light is going down from 75% to 70% any time now.
I am likeing how the plants look so far. I'm hoping for more frost tho.
White Truffles has the most sugar on them but no big cola's there.
The plant is smallish with nice buds but not on the heavy side.
I did notice a bit of a boost in bud size the last few days so there's hope.
The others need help lol. I do give them a 1/4 tsp of Flower Fuel ( Very similar to Kool Bloom )
but no burst of tri's yet.
Pic's (I'm just throwing these out there, I forgot who's who in the pic's haha)

How do you like those SF lights on the sides? I'm still playing with some under canopy lighting...just need to find some I like instead of what I've been using. I like the covered diodes so plants can be right up against them without burning.
They are great but should have started them sooner in the grow.
They did good the last grow with bigger buds on the lower branches.
I was thinking of buying another set when I came across this light from MarsHydro,
Adlite 100 I think it’s called. $129
Really nice light. It can hang also.
I’ll be using it next run.

Wow, that's quite the light for undergrowth, does it come with the tripods? I'm looking at these, They will be my next light purchase. I'd have bought them already but I just ordered a trail cam and my monthly grow budget is blown on the cam + a few other gadgets.

Although, last night it was 34c here I took my wife out for diner at a local pub. After ordering I gave her $20 to play one of the 2 slot machine's they have. 10 min later she walks back with a $300 ticket, Yea ha diner paid for and a couple hundred extra. Still....that's hers now I can't buy lights with it....Next month for sure and its coming fast.

Yeah, it comes with the tripods and also hangers if you want to hang them.

Nice win on a slot machine dang I miss going to the casino. Haven’t had the extra cash lately, but we’ll be going soon enough after we got settlement.

I like my current side light a lot, from spider farmer, but for six plants, I would need an extra set and instead I’m getting the adlite 100

Today is first cool day in awhile.
Only getting up to 80° today.

Blue God is showing signs of ripening.
I think only a week away.

We got lucky again yesterday, went to the casino after a Costco run and with her extra $200 we won big, cashed an $1100 ticket and I won $200 more so it was a Keg steak and Lobster diner us last night...lol...luck runs in bunches it seems....so does bad luck and I've had enough of that.

Ordered a set of the Ion beam 16 side lights yesterday purolater showed this morning going to use next flower start with the AI controller. Going to let controller have complete control of flowering phase, see what happens.

I was going to order from Indoor farmer but they only have the 11" in stock I want the 16". I'll most likely order today from AC Infinity, now that I'm up some cash. I don't use this comp for any purchases. Its an isolated old computer with no personal info on......I hope...I spent days on this think trying to rid it of old files and its now just for pics from my grows and these online forums n sht

Ordering from acinfinity comes from US 100 plus shipping charge and you have to pay Canadian taxes on delivery on top !!!!

I looked at their policy and it wasn't specific about what the actual charges were other than its out of their control and I'm subject to all additional charges. AND their return policy was limited...nope Indoorfarmer makes another sale

I dunno, I looked at the one's I have from SF then looked at the MH under canopy light then this one from AC, now I'm confused lol.
I was going to get another set like the ones I have (SF Glo 30 32w / $50) but seen the new MH under canopy one's (ADlite 100w / $130 ) now you pointed out these
AC Ionbeam s16 42w / $90 and I get free shipping. I do like the size 16" and less than half the wattage of the MH ADlite. Hard to say what LED's are used in the other lights as they don't say.
Are these AC lights plug and play with no other special controllers needed?

I looked at them on AC infinities web site and they have the option of controller type. I don't want one and I could buy one for $99 Usa without a controller on them. No option up here. I'll never use one anyways. They're low watt so full power all the time should be fine. I'll only use in flower anyways in my 5x5.

I dropped some watts going from my Spiderfarmer SE3000 - 3x300=900w the 2 FC4000 are just 640 W add my blues I'm around 725 w green 45w and now the side lights should get me back up where I was around 900w again with a different distribution of wattage. I'm noticing the smaller foot print now that my plants are full I'm missing about a foot as some of my plants are hanging out of coverage I'll have to rope in.

I have several sets of ACI Ionbeams..The 16" full spectrum bars and 11" UV bars.

Each set will come with a little controller that will plug into the driver. The controller works as a timer and dimmer.
The light system can also plug into any of the ACI controllers that control environment along with light scheduling.

They can also be ran as "dumb" lights. They will be at max power and use an external timer like most older grow lights.

Given their output, dumb is the best option IMO. I run mine off an old analog timer. The controllers just make things confusing and over engineered.
These lights for the most part are like seedling lights, old 2' T5HO or 50 watt CFL type of output and performance, so there's no real need to ever dim them down.

I bought their Green light with its controller and I disconnected it. I'm glad I was able to or I would have cut it off, I just want full power all the time. Same for the side lights...I just don't see using the controller. It comes with the deal I'll have 2 here if anyone needs one....lol

I have a small box with maybe 6-8 of those little controllers still in plastic. Fans come with a similar device to control them too so all together, like 20 or so tiny controllers.
I'd trade those little controllers and less on the packaging if that meant the price on lights and fans could be brought down. Feels like that stuff adds to the cost when nobody is using or even needing it and it just collects dust and all the packaging gets thrown away.

Week 8
Dumped the old mix and cleaned out the tanks.
Changed the mix, pulled out Core n CaMg and added Fade n cut down Bloom and upped PK.
Tanks are at 800 ppm.
Humidity is nuts here. 59% this morning.
Heat in the room is in the mid to upper 80's.
Even outside the room, in the cellar, it's high T 76/RH 73%.
Usually the cellar stays at 65-67% which is why I was going to use it to hang some plants till
the others were done. Not sure where I'm going to dry them out at.
No room for another tent and can't hang them any where else, cause of cats.
Might have to put the small tent upstairs and hope the cats don't destroy it. lol.

White Truffles will be the first to chop, prob by next week (w9).
It looks frosty as heck but bud colas are small and not much of it, so that suxs.
Blue God will be next, either w9 or 10.
BG has nice big colas with good bud spread with some wieght to it and will bring in a decent amt. come harvest.
The others look to be 2-3 wks away from harvest but doing well.
I thought I would harvest at w9 for sure but can't do it when I see clear tri's still.
Pistil hairs still white too on most of em.

Still trying to guess who is Blue Dream and who is LDS.
BD's leaves should show eventually, Then I'll know, I think.

Brought wifey a scooter to get around with.
I also brought her some Stablizer (Training Wheels) wheels for her electric bike but she is not using or trying to use it yet.

But the Scooter she likes and she goes to the store and gets around with it.

Here's the latest crop pic's, using my Sony CyberShot Camera.

I guess the cam was set to a email format, very small pixel size and changed it just now.
These 2 I took with my iPhone with a loup just to see the tri’s better and the dif in harvest time.
1st is WT looking very ripe n next is BG that might be 2 wks away.

A couple of the plants are getting close! 👀
White Truffles will prob get chopped at wk 9 and maybe Blue God also.

The rest are kinda far behind if ya ask me.
Maybe 2 weeks away.
Only using Fade and PK at this point.
700 ppm 12 ml ea. per gal. Light at 70%

I put in a horse shoe pit, stakes are 40 feet apart and the sand pits are 36"x48" (Official Size)
That's pretty far so I have to take 4 steps before I shoot one cause those shoes are heavy!
IMG_E6626.JPGIMG_6625.JPG
REGULATION SIZE: Meets official size and weight standards for consistent throws and traditional gameplay;
Each horseshoe measures 7.25 x 6.5 inches and weighs approximately 2 lbs..... (They sure seem heavier than that 🤣)

Green House Garden is doing well.
Almost ready for transplant to 5 gal. Cloth bags.
5 More seeds sprouted, I think they are peppers.
Peppers do well here. The biggest plants are the Cucumbers.

This Cucumber plant is in a 10 gal. cloth bag.

Discrepancies bother me, so I just take the average .

I’ll take 2 out by Saturday unless I could stand to wait longer I don’t think so but we’ll see.

The dark one is the mass Hydro controller 43 rating, the white bg is the Govee device reading.
IMG_6634.pngIMG_6633.png
I mainly use them for humidity readings.

The basement is where I’m going to dry these out at, going to use a net hanger.
I think the humidity is perfect for this although the temp is a little high, but it will have to do. With a small fan for some air movement.

Hey, I used to love playing horseshoes and drinking beer in the summer, We used to set to a golf course too with croquet mallets holes in difficult locations like in a sand trap or behind some bottles, knocking them over a penalty. A combination golf Croquet where if you touch up against another guys ball ( singular) you could whack it across the yard....That sound gay after reading...lol... we we're young...not gay....lol fun game none the less.

Week 9
Turned off the reds and the side lights.

Going to chop 2 plants today and put them in the hanging net.

White Truffles and Blue god are done.
I see enough amber to satisfy me.
The WF is smallish with small tiny colas. Different than any other plant.
Maybe with the exception of that fake C99. The red one last grow.
It was a mistake that was sent to me by accident, I'm sure.
I tried to look it up on the QCS site and found what looked like my "c99" but then
the next time I tried to find it, cause I forgot the name, it was gone.
Had a flowery name I think. Anyway that plant was great smoke so I hope this one is
cause there won't be much of it.

Blue God I've never grown but looks fantastic with big colas and flowers all the way down it's stem.
Looking forward to smoking these!

Took these pic's with the Sony Camera.

The small WT plant is in the top tier.
I took off the buds, so no stems in there.
Very frosty!
The remaining below are all BG!
This plant was a low rider but heavy for it's size.
Lots of buds :)
Forgot to take a pic when I chopped em, darn it.

2 down 4 to go.
Looking at wk 10 but might go to wk 11 but no more than that.

Week 10 almost apon me and I am going to chop on Sat/Sun.
I'll hang them up in the room so there's no problem with cats. haha
Leaving them on the staulk just picking the leaves off as much as possible.
Can't believe I'm on the finish line finally.
The crop is looking real good.
I turned the light down to 60% a few days ago.
Gonna run the tanks down and might just turn them off tonight.
Tomorrow night I'll unplug everything but the fans.
Then sometime Sat/Sun, I'll chop the last 4 down. 2 LSD - 2 Blue Dream.
Might leave them in the dark for an extra 24 hrs.

One of the main things I noticed is the small pots (2.2 gal.) suk lol
They grow smaller plants and smaller crops. Not worth it.
The 3.9's are a nice size and I like them but I have to buy 2 more.
6 plants are perfect for this light and this size room.
That means I need 2 more 3.9 gal. pots with all the accessories = $180 yipes!
Worth it tho. The 2 plants in the small 2.2 gal. pots were half the size of the others.
That and new side lights (AC Infinity ionbeam S16 $89?) and not sure if I'm changing nutes yet, which will cost bout the same
as the $77 for 10 lb's of Athena Bloom I would have to buy.
New soil too, not sure which one yet but prob another $50-60.

I love that MarsHydro Controller 43.
Nice to see what's going on in the room and adjusting the light, from my phone, with precision, is sweet.
Once I realized the Sunset/Sunrise was indeed working the whole time. haha

New light (MH FC-E8000) is the bomb, I really like it and my e bill was lower than my FC 4800.

Weed in the net is drying nice and slow, can't wait to try that sparkely White Truffle.

Last pic's till chop time.
Garden is growing!
