New to Bud builder's hello everyone

While im on about seeds, have any of you guys grown anything from Majik Bloom seeds?

I’ve had some stonking results with their stuff in the last year or so, they're not cheese breeders but crikey they've some banging crosses.

Grape fog and lemon cherry gelato.

I'm waiting on dosi sherbet x rainbow belts, gelato 33 and pia gow x meat breath im looking forward to growing those aswell going on past experience with their gear.

Is anyone familiar with blue dream or lvtk?

I got lvtk x slh and blue dream seeds mixed up in the post after the containers got crushed with the post office rollers.

The seeds looked ok and did sprout no problem.

It's at the back left corner.

I've only 2 photos handy but maybe you'll maybe recognise it if you've grown them, from what I've seen I'm leaning towards Las Vegas kush?

Thank you bud, I've had a variety of flavours from the lcg and grape fog from zesty lemon, refreshers (fruit sweets) and something that's difficult to describe it reminds me of heated polycarbonate smell, it sounds awful but its tasty I've smoked nearly all it all alongside cheese and kush.

Oh the gnats have packed up and gone it's been 4/5wks since I seen a gnat

Using my current crop as a guide it's actually nearer 9/10 weeks since I seen a gnat.

Looking back it was somewhere around 8/9 wks before they'd completely stopped hatching.

Something that caught my attention was the growth rate didn't change with pots in bags, then when I thought about it I concluded a pot isn't that different to a bag?

I'd been using lids on my pots forever almost to help keep down humidity and they're a benefit to roots.


Airpots and regular pots benefited from a lid...I don't see that as different to a bag?

While trying to narrow down gnat dates I found these pics (great) the two front plants were vegged and sexed under 4x t5s in those little pouches then i potted them up and put them under led to flower.

I've been growing more seeds so I've not had the space to repeat it with t5s.
That was 1 of 2 plants, the 2nd plant was also growing remarkably well to but I messed up with the timer and it reacted badly.

I've been planning to cut back for, well years but you all know what it's like growing its in the blood

They certainly stinks of fuel/citrus/cake it's promising.

I've few other's from 12-12 seed company I'm going to grow in my next crop like sour diesel, dirty Gary and Jetfuel gelato...omfg I can't wait its going to be a blast!!

hose 12-12 strains you found, I think aslong as it's not a pure indy then most hybrid strains do well, it's always been common practice with pure sativa to just flower them to manage the height

You do have a very good point about the bags, makes me think how much root oxygen is necessary? Natural outdoor plants rooted deep underground must be hardly any oxygen being taken in by the root?

Wow! That was my thoughts aswell, I was looking at the garden thinking there's not a lot of air down there the whole oxygen thing is possibly a bit overstated

Speaking of clones yesterday I repotted some clones to flower in my next crop, I normally wait until later in flower to clone that makes them easy to care for long term.

Most time goes on re vegging so I'm not maintaining plants that 90% go in the bin.
if they're good i pot them up...new mum!

Thank you, it was around 2k i used them and got decent results considering I knew pretty much nothing about gardening, i stuck with them for years then moved onto dtw.

Tbh I expected the dtw to be at least a little better but I'm less sure now.

But it's still early to draw any conclusions?

I've got a bit of conundrum atm I can't work out, it doesn't make sense.
I'm using dtw and the autopot and only the dtw has any salt accumulation?

I've been using 1.9/2.0ec with autopotband it's still same in/out.

With dtw the run off is rising 0.2/3ec a day?

Why would one method rise and another not the other when they all share the same space, light and nutrient

I agree with you I think the timing helps being at that vigorous growth time, idk I'm guessing there's lots of growth hormones or whatever.

I'm still smoking exo, bluchi and cheese dipz I've a fair bit cheese to choose from.

Jfc I've been growing lots of plants with the intension of finding a handful of mums worth putting effort into growing, pheno hunting isn't a walk in park I got sick putting in the effort and then finding it's meh! hence my current approach now favouring variety and quick turnaround, if they're good I'll catch them next time

In the last 18 months or so I've been doing a extensive pheno hunt.

I'm favouring more plants these days over the yeild.

I was putting too much effort into weed that was ultimately crap.

Now I put in minimum work, I'm really only looking for a decent tester and a clone,
well that what I allowed for, tbh the results were somewhat of a surprise.

Hey bud, its mostly canna a+b and I've been trying some other nutrient in the last year or so, megacrop 1 part, hydrosol a+b and Ionic 1 part tbh they work much the same ime I'd go by the cheapest or best price per litre now.

Yea mate the pheno hunting is hard going, 12-12 is the best way, but like you say? Did you run those pineapple chunk yet? Used to be good phenos in those but the same was said about old early blue cheese?

Yes T5s are great they give me heat and light for 96w I've a option of lighting the T5s are my pick from all of them.
With fresh cut clones I put them to them off to the side out of direct light.

I've none suitable pics but the light is at the right hand side.

Omg that 12-12 thing from seed is a massive boost to me all round, its made my growing more enjoyable, cheaper, better and easier to manage, if yeild isn't the same that's my fault I'm literally able to grow 100% more plants and 100% more grows a yeae...lol that are easier, cheaper blah blah!!

I've never enjoyed growing so much for so long growing really is a blast these days I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Pineapple chunk, yes bud I've grown it, it yeilded massive buds

but was a bit meh tbh I wouldn't recommend unless tasteless weed was your thing then it'd be great, when I say tasteless I mean its pretty boring earthy/fuely like a 100 others.

My cloning method is pretty straightforward tbh, I've not a lot of pics but I've these, the clones are just smaller than normal all else is the same.

Select a shoot preferably with a set of nodes that will land under the surface, its not always easy to find with taller shoots but its not essential only preferable given the option.

Trim the nodes with clean cut (scalpel/stanley) cut it to length, I like my 1st bit growth to be level with the surface (in most cases) no wasted vertical height!!

A bit rooting gel, powder whatever you prefer and poke the clone into a pre poked hole in the coco/pouch, I use a bamboo skewer it's ideal for the job.

Give the coco a feed with weak nutrient or even water, water isn't recommended with coco allegedly ut I've not had any problems through using water anyhow whatever I use I leave it soaked, sodding wet to prevent wilting of any kind.

If it's any interest to you I've also a diy aero cloner it works good but the setting it up doesn't justify the hassle when coco works fine.
Regular clones would go into a heated propagator set to 23/24⁰c via a temp probe in the bottom of a pouch...fwiw ime props and heat matts get too hot they're better with a controller imo.

The lid that's good news I'm glad you can get a use from it and tbf they're absolutely worth the small effort involved if humidity is an issue or you simply want a bit more rooting

Oh for sure 12/12 is the way for me to, I mean we both know nothing just flowers, still saves bit more time takes the stresses out of it and makes it more enjoyable
Thanks for the tip oh nonono?! ,pc is not for me then! I'd prefer a tiny yeild of something tasty and banging than ounces of tasteless bud, all about those terps and the effects nothing else matters! Aromas nice to have but not as essential as it carrying to the flavour? I mean cheese isn't a looker is she when dried but man does she make up for it!

In most cases the clones would be in the prop at the left away from direct light and with the vents and lid opened about 1" to allow air exchange.

In deep winter I sometimes put the prop under the light, yes imo it's to much light so I use a fine mesh (vegetable bag lol) over the prop.
Sorta like this to keep it dimmed for a week-ish


That's the small exo clone on the syringe I cut it 16th January.

And grape fog I cut today.

I have a bubble cloner yes but I've not used it in while.

Due the circumstances idk what I was going to be cloning next so keeping them on ice was my main aim hence the flowering clone business.


Fwiw I originally used a pump with 4 outlets T,d to 2 per 12" stone, it worked fine but the there's a noise penalty, I tried just a powerhead pump just gently agitating the water and worked great minus the noise.

Edit...its kinda an example of another low oxygen situation working fine?

Also in the colder months it adds heat to the water so that's another bonus.

I've not stopped using it it's just less practical atm.
