I've bean gifted, plus a small fee for trucking 6 clones from @Anthem275.
4 air force one, one cheeta Piss and a Watermelon Gelato
I was planning on running the 4 af1 but plans have apparently changed lol, thanks Anthem. All 6 will go in my veg room but plan on 4 in flower room, 2 af1 and the cheeta and the watermelon
Clones arriving monday

My veg room. This was my original current culture setup and spacings i ran up until 4 years ago now i have a veg room and a separate flower room.

A little bit about my style in hydroponics.
I feed 2 grows back to back and have be doing it this way for the last decade.
I run in Hydro (live, sterile, neither) im neither meaning i don't add any bennies nor do i add anything corrosive to the water. I think i am always chasing rot or rot is always chasing me and i really shouldn't be able to do what i do.

Nutrients, we've bean feeding calmag and GH 3 part since the beginning at what most would call exceptional low PPMs. In the 10 years ive bean growing i think the highest ive fed is 800 ppm on the 700 scale.

My last grow never got above 480ppm/700

one of the few that are still rocking mini-trees indoors. Always love seeing your setup @smoke.

curious if there's any reason you don't run vertical bulbs given the size of your plants? Do you get enough penetration from the hoods that it doesn't really make sense for you to run vertical?

maybe some of you old farmers will remember a father-son duo that tig welded a RDWC system and ran water-cooled vertical bulbs. This was probably about ten years ago. that system was wild and designed specifically to do this kind of growing.

I do have enough power and was wanting to run one vertical light in the middle of my 4 just because but my wife won't let me on a ladder. SLG said next time he's down he would save my life. We have a contractor here and im wanting to get the deh off the table and installed correctly so one vertical may happen.

Remember them well, i think i joined in 2014. We just bought this place in 2019 and always wanted a "room" similar to what we saw in the good old days trees just look cool imo. It was a medical 4 plant grow originally and something told us to grow trees. Now 10 years later everyone is growing in tents

awesome. i'm glad your wife set a hardline on no ladders -- with my previous landlord I kept trying to do the same thing with him. There's a point in a man's life where it's just too dangerous to be climbing up on those things. Not that there's a lack of ability but if a fall happens the recovery time is substantially longer and the risk of never seeing a full recovery is too much. especially with that landlord, dude has spent the past 20 years of his life pickling himself with vodka, the last place he needs to be is on a ladder.

the whole tent fad is a primary reason I'm planning a room as well. Tents are fine for a temporary solution but imo for sustainability alone, a dedicated, permanent space is required. it's a hell of a lot safer too. don't have to worry about flammable fabrics, degrading poles or plastic joints, failing zippers, or even flood resistance. All of such things can be addressed with a well designed room. plus the security gains alone are substantial. plus, growing trees just seems to be a more productive and efficient way to grow especially when considering the discussion in the outdoor trees thread re: genetic expressions including higher terpene concentrations and stronger phenotype expressions.

There's so much accumulated and specialized knowledge base here with just the small group of people here. Pretty amazing to watch this kinda thing

I suspect some longer flowering strains have made their way though this grow room

Maybe we should change the name of the site to Wheat. The Farm would be the chaff...........

Yeah he would get a ton of condensation lol was a sight to see really

That makes a lot of sense. I'm not sure tent growing is a fad, though. My thinking is it's a consequence of legalization and has good market growth potential, especially as more states legalize. As appealing as a dedicated space may be, I doubt I'd ever need that much capacity. So, tent growing is the right size for me. A larger space sure would be fun, though. I like to grow trees. It has been a long time since I've had an opportunity to grow with that style.

you're probably right. the cost of production for tents has decreased substantially and they have a lot of use for other purposes as well. I've seen paint booth, mushroom fruiting rooms, clean rooms, etc all built using tents. legalization has definitely contributed to their broad adoption and availability. they aren't going anywhere any time soon and do provide a lot of value for what they are.

my primary concern is it's a double edged sword making the barrier to entry for growing so much more affordable. people end up doing a lot of sketchy shit that puts not only themselves and their families at risk, but potentially dozens or hundreds of other families at risk. and they do so blindly, not considering the fire dangers associated with growing and the potential hazards of water and electricity co-existing so close together.

to keep it short common sense isn't as common as it used to be, and that's the scary part. plus, a majority of new growers i personally know tried one or two grows, found out it's a lot of work, and end up tossing their gear in a landfill so there are environmental impacts on top of it all.

Isn't that the truth?!

There's a lot of growing gear on craigslist, too. I go there occasionally to see what I can find. Most of it isn't worth the trip to get it, though. I saw a ACI 6" inline fan recently, but the guy wanted almost as much as it would cost new, plus it would've taken half a tank of gas to get there and back.

IMO, tents ARE temporary but temporary can mean 1 run or 100 runs before they get serious and dedicate an actual space.

I agree that having an actual room is better in the long run but tents are good if you don't have that option.

Cost being a big factor. I could have bought many many tents for what it cost to build.
Bought this place in 2019 and always wanted to build rooms for our style of growing so we did. This was the last construction project my wife and i did together. Our last grow area at the other place was put together with a room that was already there and we made it work. Lol
