Sad to hear u r having to start over again, but at least u got the curling issue figured out
it happens.. if it wasn't meant to be then it wasn't meant to be i guess!! i'm still not confident airing the room out is fixing it.. there might be residue or something maybe from all the bug sprays and bombs and maybe could be causing it?? idk... last night i racking my brain again as the plants continue to burn the third set of new leaves like clockwork in both soil and hydro. it's for sure in the cabinet itself somehow.. maybe on the panda film or in the wood fibers?? i just don't know. last nght i could feel a film on the plastic that is not clean. so when i fill the system with hot bleach i'm going to scrub the walls and floor and celling with a scrub mop.
i'll also leave the doors open for a couple days with a fan in front.
i want to move the soil plants to anther area and see if they get better. i'm 99% sure its something with the cabinet itself.
Can u remind me of ur hydro setup?
it's a DIY waterfall setup, i used a 27 gallon tote and connected two five gallon buckets with a 3" recirc pipe and 1" pump lines. the system holds about 25 gallons
Also, u r messing around w arduino to automate the system?
i sure am!! man Moe opened up a whole new world to me with this stuff!!! can't wait to learn more!!!!!
I'm really curious about that as I want to use my raspberry pi5 to help w that on my own system, mainly to have a cheaper version of checking the ph, ppm, and temp on a real, constant time. Or do you think getting a guardian is just as good or even possibly cheaper?
to just monitor the numbers it can be done fairly simple. the code it already out there and can be copied. the sensors are the real cost. but to monitor ppm, temp, and ph it can be done for about $200 along with some creativity and a 3d printer to help with brackets and housings.
i didn't but the EC sensor yet, that one is almost $100.. but right now i can see temp and ph live and accurate.
honestly i don't check my ec much anyway on a daily basis.
.
i haven't gotten into python yet would really like to down the road. i made a cannatrol style drying box and want to get better control and have it all touch screen so Pi will be the answer there. but for now i'm still learning arduino.

her color, vigor, it all came back!!
