Looks great, but you need some major defoil done to the top. All leaves pointing inward first to go. Any sun leaves covering colas needs to go. A lot of room for a defoil, leaving the top third of the leaves unbothered for now.

i understand, i agree. especially the shaggy one on the left, there's a lot of leaves in there!!! i stripped a big double arm full from each one already and probably have close to that to go yet.. i don't have much of a plan other than to just get it done,

Tucking under is okay for 3-4 days after setting your table. Then back off and allow them to finish stretching. I defoil all the way through week three, then I discourage defoil and tuck or remove only the leaves blocking colas. I try to never mess with the top third of the plants foliage.
After my plants stretch and bud, as soon as my buds hit nine inches tall, then I will add the trellis just to hold my buds up.

thanks Granny!! i have a few that were really close to reaching the next open square so i'll tuck those under tonight and that will be it no more..

each time i go down there to check on something i pluck a couple handfuls... i really need to get in that front left area. when i split that branch i was kinda gentle with it from then on and didn't get all the branches perfectly fanned out right... i need to check on that split and try to rearrange a few of them to maximize the table the best i can.

ligts don't come on for another hour yet but my eye in the sky night vision shows branches growing vertical...

ppm's are rising since the change out and today the ph sunk so i think i over did it on strength. last time this happened i watered down my uppers and left the drinking/top off slowly lower it and it worked perfect for that last ten day of veg so i'm gonna try the exact same thing this time and hoping for the same results.

i started at 520 and yesterday it was 540, today it rose to 550.. ph dove down to 5.3. so to try and correct this i topped off the uppers with water and brought the ppms in there down to 450.

i also made use of some of the water line fittings they sent with my floats and tube.. one goes right to the upper and the other goes to a coil of tubbing i can use anywhere, even reaches the soil plants if i get lazy!!



so this is where i'm at... i'm not going to do any more tucking, what grows up is what i get!!! i'd love to fill three more squares but i just don't think it's gonna happen. there's some damn nice light on those empties!!!!!!!!



i gotta do something about that mess under the table.. for now we're just gonna all pretend its not there!!! hehehe

this is center of the table right now... two cali light works SS550's gen1 at 24" above the table set to 70R 70W 35B

it's a PAR meter, measures what the plants see. i'm not sure just how accurate it is, i feel it's close but the more important part is it's consistent

Bandit gave it to me when he got his pulse pro and i put the cord on the sensor from a cannabolized lux meter i had.. pretty much one of a kind now. by cotton tops i hope to be in the 800 range.

i started at 520 and yesterday it was 540, today it rose to 550.. ph dove down to 5.3. so to try and correct this i topped off the uppers with water and brought the ppms in there down to 450.

5.3 is low but it's not the end of the world if you get it up within half a day or so. I've definitely came home from work and seen 5.3.

I'm pretty sure if there's a lockout from pH issues, it goes away once the pH is fixed. Well not pretty sure but I assume. Makes sense for it to become available again once the pH is corrected.

Hell yes.. I need to do something like that. It'd be easier than adding a float valve to my humidifier. That sucker won t be used much longer cuz, here pretty soon, the dehuey will be running.

Nice.

They do grow quite a bit that first week so you could tuck some for the next couple days to fill out that space if you really wanted to. They'll still grow up pretty tall in the remaining weeks of stretch. You might just end up with shorter colas in those areas.

i understand, i cleaned some out today and i will keep plucking. i need to get the sucker growth just below the screen but it tugs on the tops too much so i think i might wait a day or two for them to anchor into the screen better and help me decide what stays and what goes..

i believe it's pretty accurate. Bandit used it for years so.. i found the full service manual online and they make a model that is extended like i did, it's how i knew there were connections for it inside the manual tells you what to connect to!! not that two wires was all that difficult to get right!! hahaha

i could see the ball being useful but to be honest my first time using it is not going to be in my grow.. i'd slip off smash he buckets and ruin everything. besides i can squat under my net net anyway without laying down. my screen is strong and can take my weight so i just use that to help myself back up. i didn't really think it was all that difficult to get under. i think kitchen cabinets are way worse to crawl under than my scrog.

i don't think that is even for this meter? it talks about LEDs and buttons.. i got none of that..this one takes a 9v battery and not the three buttons batt they show on a round piece. none of that is on this meter.

Never was too sure about that meter. I forgot about the mismatched instructions hahaha! Fucking Russians man. I have another of the same kind but it won't turn on half the time.
Both were bought off ebay from a Russian military surplus store unloading gear left over from the Cold War. First and only thing I've ever bought from Russia.
I've used lots of light meters over the years and most PAR meters like that are pretty much the same thing. Photone app works as well as they do.

i got jipped a few points last week man. after getting the 40 for the powerball last week it wouldn't give me my 13 for thursday trivia. i tried it like four times from different devices and it kept saying i already got it but i didn't. gave it to me this week though.. i'm not gonna dispute it over 13 points but if i was running a perfect season with no misses i'd prolly dispute..

we get a triple header finally this week man!! three check ins!!!! should put me over that 10K hump!!!

It's all looking so cool and beautiful. Great things happening here. I feel like I'm learning a lot from following along.

they're doing fine so far, something ain't jiving though.. at first the spit their food out and the ppms kept climbing. after three days it was up to 570 from the 520 that i started with. so i took a big slice out and lowered it to 450. it held there for a day and i haven't checked it yet today. hoping they get back to drinking as heavy as they were. i peeked in just a bit ago and had hoped they would have used more water but the lights are about to come on so we'll see later tonight.

center i starting to fill in better... and because i'm fuckin stupid and hardheaded sometimes and i know i said i wasn't gonna do it but dammit i'm gonna fill those three squares yet... prolly gonna regret it later but it's bugging me big time!!!

take an old hex nut driver that ya have laying around, cut a couple slots in er and stick a magnet in the bottom, and then you can put in eye hooks like a champ!!!!

Good point. Plus the smash mangled all the foliage so it's not all facing up. Surely a lot less efficient until the leaves can sort themselves out.

yes sir, it's the only reason i haven't panicked or reacted too quick. not only just the smash but i also did a heavy defol, lollipopping, i split a crotch, and i also introduced womanhood all at the same time... all hermie causing stress!!!!

along with not eating they slowed the drinking way down too. this tells me the everything was on hold not just the eating. so lowering the food was because they don't really want it. i didn't throw the food away so i can give em leftovers if they get hungry again. now that i notice them starting to drink i figured it was time to go back up on the VPD to get them sweating a bit so they build back up their metabolism and once they start drinking normal again i kinda expect the ppms to drop which will tell me they're eating and it will then be time to give them more ppm's.

this is all just my opinion and in no way do i know what i'm doing. i'm just simply explaining how my mind is thinking on it!!
