Remember him driving the rig in the movie.I love that song
What’s wrong with the soaps like Safer’s?Lady bugs are what you want I believe.
Big difference between flowers and shrubs and vegetables or eatable fruit.
I would read that spray label well.
Part of my failure in beating them is not being willing to use many sprays and dead set against the soaps.
for real, Ukraine surplus?!?! well shit now i don't feel bad one bit for modifying it!! the other night i cannibalized an old LUX meter to make that PAR meter have a handheld sensor... even fits the canvas case!! didn't even have to modify anything on the meter, just soldered the stretchy cable in between!!

Did these reveg? / or get fucked by a lighting mishap? Some nitrogen toxicity tooten weeks from seeds officially in the books.. i'm creeping up on topping off my rez volume in amounts. i know rules say to change out but i don't think i'll benefit from doing that in my situation because i'm kinda close to flush. wtf is a frush? (revenge of the nerds joke) i'm going to only topoff with florabloom and water with nothing else added from here on out and then a week away i'll fully drain and fill with florakleen. i really want to see how much root displacement i have!!!! kinda making bets with myself on if it's over/under five gallons.. i think over!!
not good but could be worse so i'll take it!! the left plant is further along than the right.

Nice to haveYou happen to have this LUX meter? I’ve been thinking about visiting the film studio a few blocks away and seeing if someone could tell me what a few readings are in PAR and how accurate mine is.
Not terribly important just a nice to know.

nice side by side grow though.
Not trying to be an ass or anything just genuine
Glad u did this, so, going hydro now? Lol
It truly just doesn't compare to soil, it's just so much more efficient for the plant, just the way/how it works and the way soil works.
Can come somewhat close with a proper rockwool run and somewhere in the vicinity with a proper coco/inert media run.
Past memories of the taste of soap.
Try less air flow to stop the roots forming balls, or they tend to develop root rot in the middle due to the water being unable to flow between the roots, also use a good water enzime, I used Cannazyme in my buckets and this worked well for me, but any good enzime will work.
I forget.. did you use ANY microbes? Or was this a neither live nor sterile run?
Right on. Them's Nova nutes sure stain the roots, eh?yes sir, i used orca and king crab throughout the entire time.

Dude I’m sorry I’ve been busy building my grow room and haven’t checked in. I gotta go back and read wtf happened? Bugs? i can't wait to grow without pesticides!!!!! my nutes and solution strength didn't burn the leaves like that, the bug bomb did... don't think i'll be smoking any of this round but it was an awesome learning experience and i can't ait to have another shot at it!
i'll be harvesting in like three weeks then i'l do a cleaning and start the next round right away!!

Damn that's a bummer... even AFTER the bug bomb? Dang.sure does man... mainly it's the floralicious that does it.. before i add that it's a thin light iced tea color and leaves no brown behind, as soon as i add the licious it gets icky.. adds a slight stink too!!! i actually had to bleach and scrub out my mixing barrel after about six or seven refills.
i've been struggling a bit with my solutions, not sure if something in my water changed or maybe something in the calimagic versus the humbolt calmag that's doing it but my ph has been sinking too much. i've made a test batch up just last night with less of a buffer.
i gotta give an update in my thread tonight... been a tiny bit bummed with it, just learned a couple days ago i still have mites in that cabinet! so with the crazy ph swings and mites they're not the happiest.

-------
I ping-ponged a lot with my pH during my first couple grows. Hopefully you can get it figured out. Did you maybe get a nasty bout of acid rain recently?
Man what a mess. I hope to never be visited by mites. I imagine it'll happen some day, maybe, but my fingers will forever be crossed
So it's become a dribble for a small adjustment and a dribble dribble for a larger one.
Where all that was headed... I now make my adjustments and let it set until it settles, wherever that may be.
You may have noticed already but, just in case, Down is WAY more concentrated than Up. A little goes a LONG way with the Down.
Wait til you straight up grab the wrong bottle...yeah this still throws me off now and then... i guess if i look at it the more i mess it up the more practice i get at the amounts!!!
Wait til you straight up grab the wrong bottle...
You need to bring it up a bit so, normally, you'd add quite a bit of UP, but this time you grabbed the DOWN... added quite a bit... and tanked the already low pH. That's been me. A couple times now.

yeah, bug bomb, then bleached all the walls and floors and thought i had it clean and clear but then later learned they were probably in the lumber and i think my infestation is much worse than i ever thought. this is the first time they are beating me and freaking me out a little. i'm just glad they are staying to this one cabinet.
.
.
part of my ph issue is also self inflicted some times.. i over shoot once in awhile and have to add the other to balance out my heavy adjustment. so compound the ping ponging and then my alkalinity screw ups on top and it just makes for doh! moments!!! and then i'm off on my nute ratios with extra potassium again before i know it! i'll learn sooner or later!!! i hope! hehe
IDK if you might be dealing with a bit more of a super mite than me but what I've dealt with are ez to wipe out but they will persist if the eggs are not dealt with.
A couple days after setting off my pyrethrin bomb I followed up with Jungle Rain spraying it on both sides of the leaves.
I actually cut Jungle Rain about 75%JR and 25% with water to make it go further and new growth can be sensitive to it so I dilute it.
Spray until the plant is saturated and the JR is running off the leaves.
Let the JR dry, takes maybe an hour or so, then follow up with a spray down of clean water.
JR is a blend of oils and soap. Mainly castile soap which is pretty much olive oil, then there's vegetable oil, and citrus oils in there.
When these soaps and oils coat the eggs and dries it pretty much suffocates the eggs.
The eggs dry up and begin to break apart so a few days after the washing you'll see busted up eggs underneath infested leaves but no new mites roaming around. I use a gnarly pair of reading glasses to see this since I hate scopes and loops and 2.50 readers are like having a scope strapped to my face.
This remedy totally wiped out my infestation inside of one week. Haven't seen any bugs since. The damage they caused is still visible but no new damage and no new crawlers.
Then after the grow treat that wood with dormant oil or mineral oil and let it dry which is my next step after harvest.
