Salutations all u beautiful ppl! So I'm guessing I'm within 8 weeks of getting this round to the finish, and what next curveball that is unwelcomed? Um yeah, my landlord messaged me saying he's gonna put the house on the market soon, which means my apartment will start getting seen. Thus is not gonna bode well I imagine. I guess I get to find out if he updated the lease agreement where growing is permitted. Even more so, him showing my apartment w a hydro grow tent consisting of 90 gallons or so of water on a second floor lol I imagine I will get evicted shortly afterwards if the showings happen b4 the axe comes down. On the plus, no signs of herms yet. The tent is looking "ok" considering my start... haha been learning a bit on my second grow. My nickname should b mn folly

Salutations u beautiful ppl! U all ready for this?! Did a water change and now my inline pump for the waterfall isn't working after I the exchange lol It turns on, just doesn't pump and gets warm. I'm pretty sure the line isn't clogged or anything, but something is up w it's prop. I can pump water into that line w my drain pump and the falls work. I ordered a pump but it won't get here till Monday. Any ideas? I was thinking of trying to plug(maybe a cork or piece of flexible rubber?) the line from the res to the inline pump so I can remove that inline and check out it's prop and such.

I'd really hate to have to drain all that water just to figure or change out that pump. I may look into getting a valve right b4 that pump so next time, I can just close off the line and deal w pump issues.

Besides all that, I switched the freaks sites around giving the bigger one more room. They seem to b happy atm minus some nute burn, gonna dial back the nutes by 1/4 of the last feed regiment. The stretch is done thankfully as the fryday is way too tall, and got some bud development going on.

do you happen to have a spare piece of hose that size? if so make a hose with the end kinked over and tied, then stick your hand down in the rez and block the hole with your finger wile sliding the hose off the outside then slip on your temp kinked over hose..

@Stoneyluv Not a bad alternative to what I was thinking of, luv having other minds weighing in on these situations. I think I'd almost have to melt(heat gun) the end of the temp hose or plug it(patron bottle cork would work w some wittling) as the hose isn't all that pliable.

didn't realize that tubing was rigid stuff.. thought maybe you could just bend it over and zip tie.. if it's that stiff like ya say maybe a heat gun or something to get it real soft and then crimp with a pair of pliers or something. but i cork may work great!! do you happen to have one of these bong cleaning corks like this?? bet one of these would work perfect...

Good call on installing gate valves before and after the pump so you can service.
My money says when you get to flip/wiggle the impeller the pump you have will run without issue again.
What pump did you order?

@steamroller I went w the same pump, an active aqua 400gph. Didn't think about a valve after the pump but that's a damn solid piece of advice good sir!

So b4 I was gonna go grab some valves and a temp hose( turns out I somehow didn't have any leftovers) I plug the pump in and voila, she's humming and spitting water out of the falls, wtf! Just gonna keep an eye on it till the next water change and then have a looksie at it. Bright side of all this, I'll b better prepped 4 future incidences of this.

You don't have to drain anything if your pump is above water level. How much play to you have in your hoses?

Salutations all u beautiful ppl! Into week 5 of the flip and all seems good. Pump is still going, have the backup on hand and next week I'll do another water change. When I do that, my plan is to install a valve b4 and after that pump as well as clean that pump up and keep using it till it dies. Otherwise, the plants r drinking good and seeing what I think is some good looking, young buds My ppms(680 on 500 scale) stay the same while the water drops. Best of all... no fucking signs of any mfing balls!!! WOOHOO!!!

Need to do some light trimming tonight or tmrw as well I believe. I'm starting to get a better feel on how to do that, probably could've trimmed a bit more off the bottom stalk areas though, fuck larf.

A few updates, but first I'd like to mention that my attention to all the details and documentation I've done for this grow has been sub-par at best. Used to check everything daily and jot down notes, now it's just been a weekly check and pretty much no notes minus this diary. Most definitely gonna stop this bad habit immediately. This new into growing, I should be as attentive as fuck.

I changed the water last Saturday and final ppms were 720, today they were 930!!! oopsie... Maybe I nute locked em? They still drinking quite well, and am seeing nute burn again. Otherwise, they seem to b chugging along nicely and NO FUCKING BALLS!!! My apartment does "stink" nicely though, need to fine my charcoal filter replacement and see if that helps, I like coming home to that smell though

My landlord sent an agent to my apartment on the 12th for the listing and haven't heard anything about my bedroom setup so I don't think I'll get evicted. I'm not even sure if they could, I have no clue on what my lease dictates about growing or the water restrictions. I would've thought having 90 gallons of water alone would b frowned upon lol

The girls r starting to fill out nicely, I like me some thick ladies

Oh, forgot to mention my 880w light has only been at 50% and yesterday I bumped it 60% without signs of leaves turning down. I'm thinking tmrw if I don't notice adverse reactions to the change, I'll bump it to 70% and monitor. I believe I should be looking for leaf changes and bleaching if the light is too strong?? The tallest colas of the fryday is already really close to the light, like 3 inches from em. Also, I'm 7 weeks in after flipping, I thought the girls would b further along than they r. I've been keeping the humidity around 45 and trying to keep the vpd around 1.5 according to the inaccurate aci probe. I should probably bust out the temp gun and c how off it is. All criticism is encouraged!!! Thanks for looking!!

I'm not even sure if they could, I have no clue on what my lease dictates about growing or the water restrictions. I would've thought having 90 gallons of water alone would b frowned upon lol

I'm lacking in all basic manipulation of the plants, like trimming and such. I'm hoping to buy a house this summer and do my next grow in a dedicated room w no tent instead of my current situation of doing it in a 5x5 tent in my bedroom in a upper apartment of a duplex

Appreciate the response! I know next to nothing about trimming. U r saying I should take more fans off? I probably need to take some lower bud sites off as well so growth goes to the main grow sites?

Nah man, I'm not saying that at all, I was thinking early on training, I'd leave it alone now. It'll fill in , seems happy enough!

Looks like they're beginning to swell. Those freaks can get very fat and heavy in the final two weeks.
