I am about to start mixing strains instead of smoking just one or the other.
Not sure why I haven't been all along besides enjoying the exploration of new to me strains.
Looking for the 'entourage' effect.![]()
I usually smoke the same strain for one week at a time and then switch.

In Italy a few years back, wife and I browsing in a shop and the keeper let me in on a little secret, "Happy Wife Happy Life" he said.

it sure makes things easier especially since they make me live with her and all!!!

.
so i blame this one on Steamroller, i took all six different kinds from my recent harvest and crammed equal amounts into a squish bag and lay'd on the tonnage!!!

dab life!!!!!!!!
When my first harvest ran out and the new one wasn’t ready I hit my local underground depository. I asked about the two strains I’d get in the past. He said he was out of one, but why the interest? I told him one on its own was nice and uplifting but could give me a headache. While the other was good for pain but made me tired. If I mixed them it seemed to be a nice blend. He laughed and said he hadn’t thought about mixing weed in years. Loved the idea.I am about to start mixing strains instead of smoking just one or the other.

My only regret on my rosin press is I shoulda got the good one to start and not wasted IDK...Maybe $1900 on three different substandard presses when I shoulda just dropped the $2000 to start on a good rig with the PSI gauge built in and huge plates.
Once dialed in though a good press is like a good grow light IMO with the return on investment being very speedy paying for itself

Bong hits of kief and Sirius Black.

One day my friend, one day. Until then I’ll keep watching how the other half live.same here man, wish i would have bit the bullet and spent it all on a better one. i'm down the DIY rabbit hole now and it just wouldn't make sense to just replace it now. about the only thing i'll do yet is buy bigger plates and then donate this set to somebody that wants to build their own. my buddy owns the exact same set of plates i do and he never uses them, i bet i could get that set for a couple doobies.
at least one thing i can say is i'll never break or bend this one!!!
.
on the subject of pressing.. i have been using these new Gutenberg's rosin bags and i really like them guys!! enough that i will say try them out yourself!!!
first ones i bought were the 3x6 these were way too big for my plates so these are going to Bandit.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B7CBD1VC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title
then i bought the 2" ones and they're a little too small for me so next time i'm gonna get the 2.5.
they stretch a little more than other brands so they give a little instead of just blowing out. they're also thin and light so there;s not much waste stuck in them. strong stitching too!!
i'm kinda bias a little bit just because they're made in Philly but i really think these are a quality rosin bag and not breaking the bank. they have a decent selection...

you can see here the difference between the 2" and 3" (bottle style) ignore the blow outs, that was me testing them.. BTW took seven tons of pressure to blow out.. way higher than anyone should be squishing flower at. the small light colored one blew right at the 6 ton mark. i really only need to be pressing 2-3 ton. i know most of you guys use PSI but my gauge reads tons so it's just math. where your number is like 300 mine is like 2 for the same amount of pressure.

No I haven't pressed in a while.have you squished any of that at all?
No I haven't pressed in a while.
We started Sunday afternoon with the last of the Afghan hash & some Purple Diesel hash on a bed of Purple Diesel flower.View attachment 90864

At the end of the evening we finished off with vaping Bandits Haunted Banana flower. View attachment 90863
The HB is two months jarred now and has a sweet fruity smell that has a hint of dirty diaper. After grinding the aroma of baby poop is stronger but not unpleasant.
The vape is smooth and tasty at 400* with a RH of 62%. No nasty after taste either. (We’ve been trying a little hotter lately.)
The high is heady, tingly, and has a relaxing effect. If you get motivated you can get things accomplished, otherwise it’s fine before bed as well.
It’s one I’ll be growing again. I think we can get it dialled in a bit better if it’s not with other strains.
I chop early by most experienced growers thoughts. As last fall was just getting dialed up, I chopped one branch from the Super Blue Dream “tree” in the foothills.
I dried, bottled and cured it, then promptly forgot about it. It was about 1.5 weeks early.
Fast forward to this week. The buds are smaller than the remainder of the SBD that was chopped on schedule, but have a much stronger aroma. The flavor (when vaped) isn’t significantly different than the SBD that went to term.
The buzz is an entire different world. It feels like I chugged a six-pack of jolt cola! Not quite like rails of nose candy, but certainly very zoomy!
I finished all this weeks chores and started on some for next week after vaping this stuff!
I honestly didn’t expect such a significant difference. I can’t vape it two times in a row otherwise I’m too jittery!
This Is literally Super Blue Crack!
I have always counted the day I flip the light as the start of flower. Works for me.I chop early by most experienced growers thoughts.
I beat you by weeks cause I am early and start counting the day I flip the light.
This is a good video if you have not seen it.
