What's Cookin?

I scrape the ribs into the burger bucket 🤷🏻
I've never actually tried to do anything else with them.
Didn’t we just talk about this? 🤣
You thought I was nuts asking if you cooked the ribs. You going to try it, maybe in a crockpot? 🤔👍

Guess I'll have to shoot another next week! lol
sawzall with a bone blade... you can freeze the racks as well. they're longer than a pig so you can get away with cutting them in half if ya want to save room in the freezer. they cool a little easier when they're smaller too. i first had them at a pot luck dinner, thats where i got the idea of the gravy. he wasn't heavy on the seasoning but i like to go heavy on the cracked pepper with them.

VEGETABLE LO-MEIN
(I forgot to add the 🍤 👈🏻😂)

Trying out some new organic, non-GMO ramen noodles I found at our local market.

I don't eat those noodles in the bag anymore since I found out they contained bioengineering ingredients, and the organic non-GMO on Amazon are pricey

So I was hoping these were good and I was not disappointed!IMG_20241206_221904~2.jpg

Tell me you don't know how to cook it without telling me you don't know how to cook it ;burt
I dont cook it, never have and never will.
Cabbage is gross. Cooked and raw.
Nasty ass foot leaves 🤢

The corned beef by itself without any cabbage nasty cooked into it is ok. Cabbage ruins it.

i agree cabbage ruins it!!! and souerkraut is even worse!!!!!

take that corned beef brisket and add it to a cream sauce over toast... hells yeah!!!!! way better than any sos on the planet!!!

The secret is cooking cabbage separate but using half the broth from the meat when you do it.
But look who I'm talking to...beans in chili people ;bsmoke

When I make a chili dog, I'll put 'kraut on there before I would ever put beans in the chili. ;pervert
And when I make leftover sammies, yeah they will be stacked with 'kraut! hahaha!

Looking at this beastie of a roast though....I'm thinking about cutting it in half....make corned beef with one half and smoke the other half and make pastrami with it.
Gotta go get some rye bread and Swiss cheese too. Rueben patty melts won't make themselves!;H

That's awesome man and happy anniversary.
IDK, maybe this is a Virgo thing, but when my wife and I got married it was a very simple at home ceremony w/ no guests and we ordered pizza. A meat lovers and a veggie pie and to this day the toppings have changed but we still do pizza every anniversary.

And since cabbage is so popular among Y'all, here's my creation from yesterday!
The broth was a mix of two cans of Guiness and about a half gallon of beef broth along with corned beef spice packet.
Brought to a boil in the Dutch oven the turned down low to simmer for about 4 hours. Added creamer taters in the final hour, I forgot the carrots, then pulled everything keeping it warm in the oven while I brought the broth back up to a boil and cooked the cabbage quarters for about 30 minutes.

Its corned beef and sauerkraut around here, Cabbage it is but they like to rot and pickle it first...and for Christmas they pull out the Solomon Gundy as a special treat....no I'll pass thank you.

You guys have kimchi in the great white north?
It's a special sort of something for sure. Here's it's fermented in jars and rather sterile but in rural Korea near the DMZ they ferment in clay pots buried in the rice paddies and open sewers feed the rice paddies. The smell is gawd awful.

It's usually cabbage and very hot pepper like cayenne but there's various versions with cucumbers and changed up seasonings.
I hated it when I was in Korea then it became an acquired taste and now I love it.
My wife hates it though because of how it smells. She can be on the other side of the house with me not saying anything and being quiet and I'll hear her yell "You're eating kimchi aren't you? I can smell it! Open a window!!"

One of my favorite late night drunk meals is kimchi, pan seared chicken gizzards smothered in hot sauce, and a bowl of ramen with processed cheese slices. My wife thinks it's the most disgusting thing I eat but to me it's awesome and makes me think fondly of my time in Korea
