What's Cookin?

My wife asks my son and I to look things up or search for her. I’m trying to tell her she can get the AI to do most of it. When she asked me to find a Louisiana style dry rub this is what we got. Tasted great on wings last night.

## 🍗 Louisiana-Style Dry Rub for Air Fryer Wings

This dry rub captures the bold and spicy flavors typical of Louisiana cuisine, perfect for enhancing your air-fried wings. Here’s a simple recipe to create that delicious seasoning.

### Ingredients

  • 30 g paprika (preferably smoked)
  • 15 g garlic powder
  • 15 g onion powder
  • 10 g cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 10 g dried oregano
  • 10 g dried thyme
  • 5 g black pepper
  • 5 g salt
  • 5 g sugar (optional, for a hint of sweetness)

### Instructions

1. Mix the Ingredients: In a bowl, combine all the ingredients thoroughly until well mixed.
2. Store or Use: You can use the rub immediately or store it in an airtight container for future use. It should last for several months if kept in a cool, dry place.
3. Apply to Wings: Pat your chicken wings dry with paper towels. Generously coat the wings with the dry rub, ensuring they are evenly covered.
4. Air Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 200°C. Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are crispy and cooked through.

### Tips

  • Adjust the cayenne pepper to control the heat level according to your preference.
  • For an extra kick, consider adding a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.

Enjoy your flavorful Louisiana-style wings!

Leave it to the Americans to bastardize an already good thing, lol. Looks really good. I think I needed the photo. I might have been a hard sell, if you were just giving me a description. Now I want to try it. Did you develop the recipe?

i saw it on you tube, but i think it's from one of the chain restaurants.. just shredded chicken, spinach, onion, corn, black beans, nd a little cheese to hold it all together. roll it in an eggroll wrapper and in the air fryer for about eight minutes. tasted way better than i thought it would.

I believe ya. I sure looks like it tastes good. I thought I was seeing some okra. Must have been the spinach.

We’ve been hitting the real bakery this summer. Real bread and not the crap they call French or Italian loaf at the grocery store. Grilled cheese and peanut butter sandwiches are soooo much better.
