A year's passed since I was here, I had to learn the hard way, and now I know why all the good growers left the [other place], I see now that it wasn't all about mite-ridden clones. It's sad what it's become there, but that's not my business ☕🐸

First time growing in a little over 3 years, I'm using a 4x4' & a 600 watt HPS, the plants are just coming up out of the Pro Mix

Germination was fast & 100%, growing Green Points Onyx Cookies & Purple Crash. Good to see Gu here!

Happy to see many of the old crew still doing well, I'm doing well myself, still on the hay farm, cut it last week

Most of the vegetable gardens are in and processed, still waiting on some eggplants and peppers to finish, but I found time to start a few cannabis seeds😁. That's it for now!

Good to see you back~!
Those seeds don't ring a bell to me, but I have only been watching GPS a little while.
HPS right from germination huh?
Going to be fun to watch.

Weekly Update:

We went a couple days without power after a big wind storm but I maintained their 18/6 light cycle

They're back under 250 Watts of halide now, no worse for wear

Nothing new on the hay farm couldn't get any vegetables processed over the weekend because of the power outage so getting back to work now, just wanted to add a weekly update

Thanks for the kind words & the follows! This is always a busy time getting ready for the winter. Things will be quieting down soon and hopefully I'll be able to post updates more regularly

These were the plants this morning, one of the Purple Crash seedlings had retarded growth, it's just putting out its first true set of leaves now, I'm trying to bring it along, might be all right now, just a little behind

Howdy Beachwalker,
I've grown Purple Crash a couple times and there's some really good specimens in that stock but yeah the retarded mutant thing is common really in much of all Greenpoint seeds.
I'm at the point now where I drop 2-3 GPS seeds for every one plant I'm looking to grow and take to harvest.
Following along and best of luck with this project! 🤘✌️

Thanks for that info, I didn't know that! What did you think of the Purple Crash in general?

Greenpoint had maybe a dozen or so of the purple punch crosses and I'd say the Crash cut is the best in the lot.
There's phenos in there that are just as good as any indica around IMO.
It's close to 100% indica. Ez to grow and keep healthy and does very well in organics. I used a super soil and pretty much just kept it watered and never went heavy with any fertz at any time.
My favorite specimen overall turned a purple that was closer to black than lavender and she was covered in icy trichs on top of the black

That's a beautiful plant! Hopefully I can get mine that color, it's in a colder part of the house so 🤞🏻

What was the flavor profile & affect of the smoke?

What was the flavor profile & affect of the smoke?

Earthy and musk skunk aromas, flavors of wood like oak mixed with sandlewood and effects were narcotic body high. Smooth smoke and made some beautiful blonde rosin as well

Weekly Update:

Hey how's everyone doing hope you're well, just an abbreviated update today cuz I'm dealing with a pretty good head cold right now, too busy to be sick tho

Nothing new, they're in their late seedling stage, they got fed Masterblend at 275 PPM a couple days ago. Took this pic then

Be well and God bless!

Weekly update:

Not much new, put a scope to the mutant plant and I still couldn't see what's going on with the new growth🤷🏻 I'm leaving it for now

Feeding Masterblend at 275 PPM, new MH bulb 6500k, man is it bright! Still only at 250 Watts

How many deer do you see in the picture?

That's what I saw too

I think I see where you mean and it could be because after I took this picture I walked away from the window thinking there was only three
It’s probably just be the three. You would have been able to tell on your own property. Mother Nature can play tricks on my eyes.

Nice view and good looking plants :)

I only saw the top one initially, eventually the bottom right backed out of the thorns and shortly after that the third one backed out and that's when I snapped the picture and stopped watching, so I don't know how many were there, they sometimes seem to almost magically appear from everywhere, it's cool, except when I'm driving!

About 3 months ago an albino ran out in front of my car and I would have hit it if it had stopped thankfully it kept running

I posted about seeing it on a homesteading message board I'm on and I couldn't believe how many other people came forward saying they or someone close to them had seen one at some point in their life

When I looked into it, its estimates one in every 30,000 is albino. it wasn't a full albino it was about 80% bright white, looked something like this piebald

Those things are wild looking. We had a piebald in the area I hunted as a teenager. I only saw it once. It was almost the reverse of the one in the photo you shared. It's shoulders were white. It looked like a goat coming through the woods, lol. I've heard some superstitions about being visited by misfortune, if you harvest one.

That's cool~!
And where man messes mother nature up given the chance.
1 in 30,000 turns into intentionally seeking and breeding two like together to get more.
Mother nature spreads them out for a reason.
On average many albino/piebald/leucistic animals have shorter life spans in nature.
Whether it is from lack of camouflage for hunting or hiding they may also carry a tendency for poor eyesight, and skin cancer.

Along with all my seeds, pollen and some personal items that unfortunately got left behind in the move, I can't seem to find dozens of 6-in square pots either

They were the pots I used in my flood and drain tables back in the last century, so I'd become attached to them 😕

Oh well no crying over spilled milk, I did find some 6-in rounds so everything's good, and getting up-potted this weekend

Going to boost the Masterblend from 275 PPM to 400 too

Maybe I'm starting to see what you mean about these genetics because these are not the strongest specimens I've ever seen, for 3 weeks I was expecting more growth than this

Weekly Update:

Upped the PPM to 400, I'll give 'em a couple days and then I'll turn up the light to 400W

Roots looked good, and there were plenty of them so I know it's in that stage of growth where they just seem to sit there 🤷🏻 but they're growing roots

But I'm getting antsy, I want to flip them to flower like yesterday LOL

Speaking of deer.... 😕

I figured it would happen eventually it's almost happened three times before, but it happened Saturday

I hit a deer at highway speed, causing massive damage to the bumper, headlight, front quarter panel, both passenger side doors and rear panel also involved

Hunting season started that very morning, so not sure if it was being chased or where it came from, I never saw it before impact.

She hit my bumper so hard it swerved my car a little to the left, and then I started hearing car parts rubbing on my front tire, and air coming in the passenger door

I decided to try to make it home the last 4 miles. Although severe body damage the car was/is still drivable but I think I'm going to buy a truck with a big push bar because the friggin' deer are everywhere here and they come out of nowhere in a heartbeat, I almost hit an albino a couple months back and that wasn't the first time.

I'm just thankful to God it didn't come through the windshield and kill me because it was a big deer north of 200 lb.

shiit ..no good mate.main thing your okay.over the years here they are breeding up and now encroaching towns and suburbs in my neck of the woods..problem is not enough shooters plus can only take one stag and a doe or 2 does.they are doing aerial shooting in some places using thermal imaging to get them under control.my brother hasn’t hit one but many kangaroos and they are just wrecking the front of his car.he was sick of it…he now has a 4wd with bullbar.still cant do much about them hitting the side of the vehicle though.his misses has like whistlers on the front grille of her 4wd to scare animals off..I beep the horn non stop going to his joint..
