A Turkey In The Hay 🦃

Man I split some wood today I tell you what! I got my deck filled up and I got a lot split in the garage too! I'm tired and sore and I slept thru dinner till just now 😞

I've only got eight stacks left outside and half of those are rounds, I'm going to split some of them Sunday, as Saturday is a rest day

Firewood warms ya up a few times 🤔
I gotta go get more myself, pretty good though haven't had to cut in a few months.
Wood splitter might be a good investment buddy. It's still work don't get me wrong. Just not as hard on the body. We burn almost 6-8 cord a year. 90% of that i bring home myself..im not splitting all that by hand.
Up here in the PNW it's a lifestyle much like other places, the heat is different, better, feel it in the bones kinda warm.

Waaay ahead on this one! This little son of a gun is impressive! this 6.5 ton Wen is a lot more machine than I thought it would be, I'm hoping it lasts awhile. It's a hell of a lot of fun too!IMG_20250314_114742.jpg

Yes sir...I've got 2 of them. It's the best way to go for me. Unless your back is good...mines not! I like to think it's smarter...

Fucking firewood anyway 😠

In the four winters I've been in Maine I've noticed at some point the deer disappear for weeks

But they were back this morning, it was before dawn and they were three or four hundred feet up the rainy foggy field so I couldn't get a picture

What I saw was about 8 - 10 babies the size of puppies walking in a row! ☺️

The mother must have already gone through the woods and was crossing the road first, and all the babies were loosely lined up behind her, it was pretty cool

Now that they're back eventually I'll get some pics before they get too big

Here they are looking a little perkier than they did after their topping in that picture above

Moving into their final 3 gallon pots this weekend

Edit: I'm playing with the idea of putting these plants outside in June

If I do I'll probably pull the Green Point Hermes and just grow the others

So I'm now officially 8 days behind when I wanted to up-pot these, they're not ready for a second topping so I'm going to try to transplant at least a couple of them overnight tonight and hopefully get them all done

I just got so much going on and gardening season hasn't even started yet, plus I'm turning 70 this year, I do my best but I can only do so much

These plants get another month maximum of veg growth than 2 months to flower and that will be May and June, it doesn't get hot up here till July and August maybe I'll just stop growing after this set and then I'll start again with some decent seeds in the fall

We have a dispensary in town that both grows and sells at the same location and it's only 50 bucks for a cannabis license up here, as long as I could buy something which I know isn't that Chinese poison which is so prevalent in this state I think I'd be okay with that, at least for now
