They only make grow lights so idk, but they've got to be better than i-power

I'll see if the second i-power bulb works tonight and go from there
 
Have you ever replaced the capacitor?
IME little experience they are the fire it up part.. And cheapest part to start on.
No clue if you use newer digital ballast. I remember the old school multivolt ballast.
A good bulb could be $100 IMO. Hortilux was going to be my recommendation also.

No I just bought another (digital) ballast, it only does it when the high pressure sodium bulb is installed so seems to me it's got to be the bulb.

The other bulb is in now so I'll see what happens in less than 6 hours
 
They arrived here in NY about 2 weeks ago, but not on the regular yet.
We have had a couple that went to where we had feeders last year like they knew.
Wondering if it is possible they are returning to us and have been " here " before.
They are so cool.
We get humming bird moths eventually when the flowers are all blooming nice mid summer.

saw one about a week ago but didn't see any others until today, was a whole bunch of them out there at one point. I never heard of hummingbird moths, I'll have to look that one up

From a distance it is easy to think they are bumble bees or the like.
They are very cool and like the same flowers hummingbirds do.
They look like shrimp with wings to me and are the coolest thing in summer to me.
Used to see walking sticks also but not in years now.

Okay I got to say it cuz it's been bothering me, it looked like a fox to me but there's a chance it could have been a coyote

Black bear were rare in my area when I was young. It was pretty exciting to see one. Now, they're thick and a nuisance. I have to keep the garbage locked up or they come through and create a trail of trash dragging it through the woods. I pretty much like all animals, but prefer black bear being further from home, lol.

We have red foxes, but they're less common. We have more gray foxes around here. They used to be really thick when I was a kid. There was a butcher shop that used to dump bones back in a hollow. There were some run-ins with rabid foxes. Neighbors killed one trying to get into a pen with their coon dogs. There were a few stories like that. Chop the fox's head off and send it in for testing.

That's the same road I hit the deer on but I have no idea what part of the road that picture was from

I read that all these solar farms that they're putting in in these rural areas are driving them into the more settled areas, don't know if that's true but it sounds reasonable

We had a confirmed rabid raccoon next town over recently 😕
 
After the spring of 23, the year locals call 'The Summer With No Tomatoes' when I had more than one fire in June (I said June) this doesn't surprise me

I'll be going out when this coffee kicks in to split kindling and to bring up a week's worth of firewood (a week!)

Rain with Highs in the low 50s all week, and nighttime Low's in the upper 30s 🥶

At some point tonight or tomorrow morning I'll light the fire and keep a small fire burning in a back corner all week

this will take the 60% humidity out of the house helping my arthritis, and should give me comfortable temperatures in the mid-70s all week

I'll give this coffee about 5 minutes or a couple more hits out of this hash pipe and if it doesn't kick in then I'm going to go brew another one cuz I want to get this done this morning

Ordered another cord of wood yesterday so I can expand my firewood sculpture! 🤣

I might get away with calling it a firewood 'feature'🙄 ...but it's just a stack

Anyway I got to hang that carbon filter my God my house stinks! 🤭🦨

I know it's not the Greenpoint cuz I grew four last run and they didn't smell at all, it's got to be those two Platinum kush

Man do they stink! especially just before and during lights out, I can smell them right now at the far end of the house
