Gonna grow some alien, banana, ice cream, OG, headband, and even a nuke
Stanky dank aromas from this crop just might make me puke

California Lightworks makes my LED light
They do a helluva job growing these weeds, frosty buds with density nice and tight

I pop my seeds using a 3D printed vertical germinator
It's tech sent here from the future like a Skynet Terminator

I start them off in airpots for awesome roots
And for food I give my ladies Great White, King Crab, & Neptune's Harvest nutes

In flower, Coast of Maine soil, 3.84 gallons per plant is what I use
Best soil around? Hell yes! That's old news

Pull up a chair and get ready for a show

A no veg grow is exactly what it sounds like. Once they break thru the seedling stage, the stalk firms up, 5 point leaves emerge, I flip to flower.

Not only has no veg growing saved me money on operating costs but it's allowing me to fit two extra grows annually which in turn means greater yields per year.

The speed though is the biggest game changer in all this. To be able to take 20-25 seeds and turn it into one lb of sensi in a little over two months time is some real shit that's hard not to notice.
And not just seed runs...I'm hoping to do some clone runs as well

23 plants have been started. I have a max capacity of around 25-28.
4 starts are from regular seed and I expect some attrition occuring there and maybe a runt or mutant or two. This plan for attrition was done intentionally with the idea of taking clones and running a trailing crop with more Haunted Banana, Nuketown and Banana Twerpz to max out capacity and then some












New for this grow is an updated and ugraded air moving and cooling array of fans in addition to 3D printed, ceiling mount poles for ACI Gen 1 fans to cool the Spectramax heat output.
This was done by pointing a laser thermometer at the light's rails and identifying where the drivers are at causing the heat.
Before the cooling the rails were at 116*F. After cooling they don't get past 94*F.




Right now two SS550s are on and they're both at 30%







Another upgrade is a center positioned SS550 under the Spectramax able to come down and help with starting the sprouts and also be a back up option in case heat is too much of an issue running the Spectramax.
This SS550 like the other two are on a remote control winch to be raised and lowered or installed or removed with ease.








Y'all may be noticing some other changes well.
If those aesthetic changes are kinda doing a mind fuck with your eyes, that's the intention



The grow is monitored by Pulse and controlled by ACI, Blueprint, and Spartan controllers and thermostats.
There's eight 6" ACI fans, one 16" Air King, Hepa filtered active intake, a 10 speed 20" ceiling fan, and 700CFM worth of exhaust power



So that's the grow.
Now comes the crazy shit like cannagars, rosin, dab life, bbq, and all other things 420

What doesn't kill them seems to only make them stronger.
Unless it's a machete. I'm pretty sure whacking some with a machete will kill them

Looks like the flood damage stopped at the bottom two layers of canopy and everything above that is fine. Some will even need water tonight.

I am looking forward to sticking a fork in this grow and calling it done. Mainly because of heat just being a mean ol bastard every day.
The sativas have shown me enough for me to go all in on that. The era of Haze is here doing no veg so there will be far more diversity in this room going forward.
I even added Irie's Tinfoil Hat to the collection today to add more haze options for the next grow.

I hope everybody is enjoying their weekend! We finished up painting the interior of the house yesterday and feeling pretty good about that accomplishment.

There's a handful of strains out there that don't do much for me as well.
DP, as long as it's authentic, will always have a spot in my stash. Some of my best ideas have been had while high on DP and it's usually top on my list when I visit legal states.
Only grown it a few times and every time was a rodeo trying to rein in a monster but with no veg I'm feeling like I may get the upper hand this time

That was a helluva honey hole for some incredible strains and I damn near tapped it dry.
Now that GPS has pretty much been depleted and all of Gu's good stuff has been benched for whatever reason, I've been circling back to GLG and have been fishing Irie and will soon wet a line at Bootleg.
My Banana Twerpz by now defunct Cosmic Wisdom came from GLG but there's some Strayfox and Brisco there I'm looking at and may also dive back into some Bodhi

Yep that's it! Nothing left now but 20 days of paid bender! Will do some day trips here and there starting tomorrow going to a small one light town for one of the best burgers in all of Texas then to a little cafe making legendary pies since 1929. Can't decide if we'll come home with a cherry or peach. Maybe both if I can freeze one!

Some plants will finish much sooner than others. The sativa leaners are no where close to ready but a couple indicas are getting close. Might send 1 or 2 more that revegged out back so I don't have to wait or waste resources on them.
When they look like hell worn over and ready to die, that's when I chop. Pistils gotta be swallowed up, leaves yellowing or purpling, trichs all milked up, and just the slightest bump makes them fall over and unable to get back up. That's when I call them done

Everything is looking clean as far as hermies go but I needed something universal to compare size on these colas.
The biggest one is out of my reach to compare but there's a big ol fat chonker in the back row with girth like a beer can.
They're all dense AF too. Like these plants made up the weight for the six or so I culled so even though there's fewer plants, weight is still high.

All air moving fans are on and sweeping the canopy 24/7 to make sure no bud rot can set in. Also gonna start letting them go dry so they can transpire all water out before getting the next drink

Lights are also being powered down and set to a ripening spectrum dropping 10 points of red each day until it's at zero and it's just blue and white to finish. As the lights power down, the table comes up so I'm still able to hammer them with good DLI




My new fridge is out for delivery today too! Really excited about that so I can start tumbling buds again in sub zero temps

Just depends really on genetics and how it was topped and if any of those tops can become main shoots.
Cannabis will always favor growth into the tallest part of the plant to produce the biggest flower.
With hybrids, to keep them large, no more than 5 tops level with each other should be done. If more than 5 and especially if they're all level with each other, will not produce the donky dick chonkers we love to grow. If they're kept to 5 or less and especially if 1-2 are taller shoots, those will become the monsters.
With no veg and no training or topping, just that one shoot gets all the priority. They can get XXL and everything below in the shallow canopy will be golf ball sized

Yea, ive been wanting to do a flood and drain grow style ish next if not dwc, having issues, no apartment ac to keep it cool, sets at 79-83f, bacteria just blooms, about out of 34% too

I'd also like to get some PVC pipe and drill holes in it for my 1-2inch net cups and run an actual flood and drain, I coild run a bunch quickly like that too, would look cool and clean

But I'm too broke and seriously need to fix my life /financials lol


So I just loaded that old humidome tray with perlite, burned 4 holes on that right side and have it tilted to drain into that container, and threw like 20 or so seeds in it lol

Got it up and running and I think it's a 25*F now. There's some condensation in there so may need to put a towel over the tumbler to keep it dry.
Also need to put a new battery in the other pulse device I won here in a raffle so I can monitor what's going on inside.
Haven't set up the app yet though. Got it downloaded but not sure I'll use that.
I'm just kinda weird about things like that. Chinese spies and shit man and not sure I want anything linked to a home base in Hong Kong.
Helluva cooler though so far! I can see getting another one for the truck and making fresh seafood runs down to the coast. Shrimp and oysters fresh off the docks!

I'd flip the 3 larger ones in the black pots and the one in the square tupperware and perlite.
I like to have some meat on the bones and them be in great health at the time of flip. Things will happen fast growing like this and you want them ready to run and not limp thru it so at the time of flip they take off like bats outa hell and grow a new set of nodes each day

This is my daily driver and as much as I love it, by the time it's packed with ice there's not much room for several lbs of seafood so it will stay as my Summer drink cache

Well one way to beat condensation is get it below 32.
Display temp is nowhere near accurate. When I set it for 25 last night around midnight it was only down to 54 this morning. Supposed to adjust to set temp within 15 minutes but takes longer than that.
Now I have it set for -4.
I'm at 18 now and still falling. Time to start some extraction!!!
When it's not extracting I'll warm it up to 55 for curing and storing weed

Well it didn't stop at 18. Got it down to 10!!! I think that's about as low I can get it in a 90 degree room.
Honestly, I'm surprised the pulse monitor is working at that low of temp as well as the motor on the tumbler.

The weed I'm running thru this is either old harvests of strains that really didn't do much for me and seeded weed from the last breeding project.
I want to squish rosin out of it but all these seeds and stems are just too tedious to pick thru and my seed separator off the 3D printer needs a ton of R&D I just don't have time for.
So that's where this all started in rebuilding the barrel with stainless steel and going below freezing to pretty much take this weed's soul from it and leave nothing but worthless scraps.
I set it for a marathon run yesterday of almost 12 hours in the tumbler!!!
Results did not disappoint

Opened it up and I saw it extracted so much there's kief on the walls of the box. Good sign! Can't wait to see what's in the collection tray!

I think 12 hours was a bit too long. Next run today I'll check it every four hours.
With this, the quality is in layers. Bottom layers are the cleanest while upper layers are way more corrupted with veg matter.
This will be the learning curve on time in when layers start to go green it's time to stop and empty the barrel




Usually I just need to use an old credit card or hotel room key car to collect. This morning I needed a spatula





I've ordered some 50, 25, and 5 micron bags for squishing this.

What's left is mere compost. Pretty sure I took it's soul.
But I am gonna do some testing on some seeds to see if they still germinate after being exposed to such cold temps

Those seeds should be fine.
12 hours is pretty long like you said and you definitley got material that is less than desirable like you said.
But squishing it I think you did the right thing.
You separated all the seeds and stems and got the rest all loose and flowing for the press.
The press will sort the good from bad.
You're going to have fire there~!
