A Day in Infamy.

That is funny because from what I know of the stuff. There are 3 different items but the one that I remember was the soil drench with was 95 percent Talcum powder. They most have at some point changed the label because they admit to it being talc as of like 2019.h
I know exactly why some swore it works and some talked shit. It is just Beneficial Microbes so ya the people that swore by it had a small or none existing colony while the hates had a nice rice colony in there media.
At the time I was accustomed to using Great White or the other Plant Success product, Soluble which was GW but at half strength and half the price. Those were products I could water in today and see almost immediate reaction from the plants with praying leaves and metabolism in overdrive the very next day. So I was used to seeing that reaction from plants and also used to a product that actually dissolved and could be watered in. But with OG I never saw that and I still had a colony of gnats in my cocos.
Tried others too but always came back to GW until recently tried Mycos + and saw that jumped up reaction from my plants so have been using it since it's less expensive than GW

I know exactly what you are talking about. You have found the mycos+ to work better than GW?

I final took your advise Aqua and I am running bennies in the rez now. I believe there is value other than just as a safe guard from root rot.
Yeah there are some benefits to metabolites and enzymes that are produced. Depends on the contents of microbes but many provide bacillus amyloliquefaciens which is long proven to prevent a whole host of issues for both foliar and root. Then many species added to aid in reduction of nutrients to make them more available some species of fungi will even penetrate the roots and feed the plant phosphorus etc. all symbiotic relationships that are beneficial.

Of course many of these occur naturally. But as i have proven to myself if we count on nature only indoors we are going to wait about 4-6weeks for adequate colonization and we have no guarantee as to the species we end up with since that world is survival of the fittest.

Lots of studies going on now to find which microbes play nice together for this reason

I should say Myco+ from Element. I think Mycos+ is something different. But this is the one that's very close to GW in results
Man it is kind of funny we are on this topic right now. I purchase small tomato plants from a local college most years. Covid sure put a wrench in that but anyways I hit my sister up and she wanted a couple so I got them for her and I have been helping her and trying to push her in the right direction on stuff. Soil was a no go just bought what she wanted from HD or Lowes. But I did get her to use GW and a water filter so that should make a good difference for the plants.

100%.

It is a very interesting puzzle. The interactions are incredibly complex. My knowledge only scratches the surface.

On the next fog run I am doing 4 different things as a test.

Orca
Great White
H2O2
Nothing

May the best method win.

That is the strain I am using. I also tried the SA stuff and as mentioned more dirty but some might have to do with plant health.

I actual reached out to GW and Orca with this basic question about 4 weeks ago. Because the two are in different forms soluble and powder I wanted to know if there is much difference with the two. Kind of got the run around but the tech did say some are using GW in hydro but no better or worse. You are going to have to clean up before you go into each system to prevent cross contamination.

Absolutely. It will need to be treated like I do with mycology for it to be meaningful.

Good news for you, you get to see me in my lab coat and that satisfying snap of the latex gloves being put on.

I know how that brings back fond memories for so many here.

I am still dealing with Russet mite problems from those damn clones from the farm/Trustfall. I had to kill two plants and my biggest plant right now may possible have mites. I am not a guy that harbors hard felling a but this is starting to piss me off. Those fā€™n things are relentless. Green cleaner and pure spray every few days. I hope it can all be saved.

MAC address changer and or VPN

Shit you can just unplug/reset router sometimes for a slightly different IP

Lol
Depends on your provider. Most up here lock you to one. Most routers/networks, business or home, will give you the same IP address anyway as itā€™s designed that way. Only changes if itā€™s needed before you reconnect or the lease expires.

Thatā€™s why I recommended Tor. Any one who knows about it or better is already protected and at least privacy aware.

@Moe.Red
Howd you kill them fuckers?

The talc is meant to be kept in a separte 5 gallon bucket after the stuff is mixed.
DE works for bugs because it is extremely abrasive to bugs with an exo-skel.
IIRC one of the few things that works on carpenter ants. They donā€™t take poison bait back to the Queen.

Unfortunately if she thinks theyā€™re under attack sheā€™ll divide the colony and you get another nest to deal with.

If your really interested in saving something you need to take clones. Dunk them when you first cut. Dunk again when you get roots and again and again. Move cuts to new location. Bomb old area etc. run heat make sure all the eggs hatch. Bomb again. Really itā€™s just so much more affective if you can dunk little ones. Organishield is worth looking into imo. Iā€™ve used everything pretty much and itā€™s my favorite right now. I really just like how it applies, very thin layer no oils or lens burn. That and sulfur and you can smack them down.
