A new dawn.

All I know is that agar agar tastes like shit lol

That's what I tried to make vegan gummies with. I didn't like it, but I only tried once. For most people they use gelatin which firms up much better than anything else.
I'm sorry, I don't have much help on that. I do have infused hard candy and chocolate down to a science. And I guess also how to make canna oil with your instapot.

If that interests you I will share the knowledge I have

Great thread! I'm trying to up my edible game and seem to have found the right place to get some help.
I have bubble hash I need to make into gummies and don't want to screw up this time.....what's the best/easiest way?
Never tried this one before but here's BadKittys gummy recipe. Every thing I've ever made using one of her recipes has been great. Anyone looking for any other recipes check out her website it chocked full of all kinds of canna recipes.

Good morning tokers and growers, how are you all on this bright sunny morning, hope your all well. :) We are at the end of week one of flower, gone, and starting week two as of lights on this morning, and boy have the plants enjoyed the change of sun. Had to raise the light this morning, don't normally have to do this until the second week, reason being is the Pineapples, they have shot up, the difference between the Pineapple and the Do Si Do is striking, I've had plants that went for it before, but not like these Pineapples, propper Jack n The Beanstalk jobs, these will with out doubt tickle the lights. 🤣 The Do Si Do is different, it seems to be a squat plant in comparison to the Pineapple, and won't trouble the lights. 🤣 I'm just glad I put the Pineapple at the back of the grow. 😁 Lets have a look at what's going on. (y)

A side view, you can see the difference in growth.
F2 (1).jpg

Top view you can see the difference in structure, looking down on the Do Si Do, the Pineapple at the back is not as bushy a plant as the Do Si Do.

The cold Green Dragon jar is on its second week, and needs to be sieved, so I'll get that done when I get a minute. I did wonder if the cold jar would take on the darker greenness the warm jars did over the couple of weeks its been steeping in the alcohol, and it seems to have done the same. I used half the alcohol this time, last run I used 200ml, this time I've used only 100ml, and it seems to have worked just as well, but with less to evaporate. (y)

I'm keen to find out if there are less trykes on the cold jar buds, as its expected that the cold alcohol will snap more off, we will find out later, and all will be reported here next week. :) There you are, all is updated at Chemistry's, the next batch of buds for edibles is taking shape, along with the next jar of green dragon that will be sampled in some of the worlds finest ground coffee's, its looking good. (y) So if you want to find out how many trykes are on the cold jar buds compared to the warm jars, then you'd better pop back and find out next Saturday, until then, just keep tokin folks. (y)

Another recipe to have a go at, thanks. 👍

I will post a gummie recipe shortly.........

Still looking for it, I found it a while back under the orange gasm grow at the farm and printed it but can't seem to find it.

Here you go, only 2 things left off the recipe. First, make sure you decarb your pot first, before using. Secondly, make sure you add lecithin, which is an emulsifier and helps the infused coconut oil mix well with the jello, etc......add 2-3 capsules when adding the coconut oil to the mix.
Below is the recipe I posted in 2020, Aquaman improved it with the lecithin.

"A proven gummie recipe....... these are very potent so go slow initially

Ingredients and supplies...........

1. 1 metal bowl and pot to use as a double boiler
2. silicone candy molds (one batch can make 30-45 gummies so have enough)
3. about 10-12 oz of coconut oil
4. 2-3 oz of well dried and cleaned pot (buds, shake, trimmings)
5. 1/2 cup of water
6. 1/3 cup of infused coconut oil
7. 1 large box of jello (not sugar free)
8. 1 box of Gelatin (4 packets in a box)

Easy, peazy............. melt the coconut oil in the double boiler, then add pot to oil and stir often. Make sure metal pot on burner does not run out of boiling water, just keep adding it when low. Stir mixture occasionally, let it slowly cook for 3-4 hours, the longer the better. All the resin will melt into the oil, turning it green. When done, strain pot and save oil to use in above recipe. Keep the extra in the fridge and it will stay fresh for up to a year.

Then, add 1/2 cup of water to jello and boil for around 3 minutes, keep stirring it. Add gelatin packets to mix (I melt them first with a little hot water, then add to boiling jello). Reduce heat to just above medium and stir for another 1-2 minutes. Then add the infused oil, stirring really well for another 1-2 minutes. It's important to make sure oil is incorporated well into the mix or it will separate from the jello in the molds. The jello will start to turn a darker color, that's when I know it's done and ready to pour into molds. In a few minutes they will start to harden, then put in the fridge for an hour or two. When rubbery, I remove them from the molds and put in a container which stays in the fridge.

Careful as the jello and oil mix is burning hot when pouring into the molds. When eaten, it will take about 30-45 minutes for full effects to hit depending on how much you have in your stomach. You can also melt a gummie in a cup of tea and drink it instead."

I always package these with warning labels, as I and others have gone comatose while eating them.......SO, go slow until you feel comfortable with the potency.

Wish there was a good vegan recipe for gummies using canna oil that's tried and true. I tried to use that agar agar and did not like it.

I did one time make some chocolates and planned to eat them throughout the day on a big rafting trip, level 5. They started to melt in my pocket from my body heat, so had to eat way way too many in the morning all at once. Was on a crazy high for hours... Ended up being the front man on the raft as the highest fucker in the group lol. Thankfully no one fell off

There's tons of "hard candy" recipes out there too, which won't melt in hot weather......lollipops as well. If you do it right, and use some good bud- one of my gummies should last most mortals 4-6 hours. Especially if eaten on an empty stomach. That's really the key with most edibles- eat on an empty stomach for the most intense highs. Or eat first, for a longer and less intense buzz.

Good morning tokers and growers, how are you all on this glorious sunny morning, hope your all well. 😎 This week sees us wave goodbye to week 3 of flower, hello week four. 🙂 These Pineapples are going to be tall, the Do Si Do's on the other hand are being well behaved and staying short. The Pineapples would make really good scrog candidates, four of these in a 5x5 space would have you trimming for months. 😁 And if they hit as good as they grow. 🤣 Its a fact now that these Pineapples will test my height limit, as even in week three, and after the two week stretch they are still on the move, maybe even a three week stretch for these, I would love to grow one outdoors and just let it rip, but our garden fences are only seven feet high. 😁 One thing that stands out about the Pineapple is that it seems like its a donkey single cola type plant in structure rather than a bud all over type strain, we will see how they turn out in the not to distant future. 🙂 Found a bit of time to sort the cold jar Green Dragon. 👍 Right, trees first. 👍

The Pineapple threatening to hug the light. 🙂

No top view as I don't own a helicopter or a drone, it crashed again. 🤣 On to the Green Dragon. First a good stir, as you can see from the state of the jar, those dam fruit loops. 😁
Cold made Green Dragon 2 (5).jpg

Sieved into a clean jar.
Cold made Green Dragon 2 (4).jpg

Cold made Green Dragon 2 (6).jpg

Dropper bottles next, didn't bother to clean them out, same stuff refilling them. 👍
Cold made Green Dragon 2 (8).jpg

Filled. If you use dropper bottles, do your self a favour and leave a good sized air space in the bottle to shake up the contents, or you'll get a massive hit the first time, and not a lot after. 👍
Cold made Green Dragon 2 (9).jpg

So did the cold jar knock off more trykes than the warm? You be the judge. I think it did going by the pics, but after testing the two methods, I feel I had the best hit from the warm made Green Dragon, maybe because the plant oils move better warm, but just for you folks, I'll carry on testing. 😁
Are there less trykes left on these buds?
Cold made Green Dragon 2 (10).jpg

I also think four weeks in the jar before straining is better than the two, but you may find you have different results, different bud or alcohol used may change the end results, only one way to find out, and that's to have a go your self and see how you go. And that's another experiment finished. What next? Plenty of things to try. So will the Pineapple ever stop stretching, you know the score by now, pop back next week and find out, until then, just keep tokin folks. 👍

hey hey,

believe me i could teach a class on hard candy making, i was running a little factory for a minute.
i know all about dem lollipops, used to slang 'em out on the factory floor during production heyday.
i can make some amazing hard candy and decent chocolate (fungus and/or thc) but wanted to branch out more, i love thc and i love cooking. in another world i could see myself running some edible shop, just give me some tasty waves and a cool buzz lol

wanted to make those gummy ropes with nerds for festival long runs, but couldn't get a good vegan gummy using canna oil and agar agar. If I remember right most vegan recipes needed tinctures instead of oil, and I never got into that yet.
