Weekend update:

First one in a while, I didn't forget I'm just so disgusted at these shitty Greenpoint genetics, that why I didn't bother but here's a picture

There's two of 2 kinds, looks more like three of one kind and something completely different in there 🤡📯

It's partly my fault, if you read the beginning of this thread I could see they were weak since about a month in, I should have pulled them and started something else, but now I'm stuck 🤦🏻

Back home I had the floor under the floorpans of both tents all foam, man do I miss my old grow room 🤦🏻

Below are a few plants I've grown previously

Yeah you win, it was balmy here comparatively

Nice blizzard going on right now! I love winter

Fourth year heating with wood, it's work but it keeps me in shape, especially at my age it's all the work-out I need believe me, well that and gardening, but they both have their seasons
 
So I noticed the start of a phosphorus deficiency and/or lockout on one plant I was watering as I was putting it back

I was going to flush it & take some pH readings & make an adjustment, but the lights went out 🤷🏻 so so much for that till tonight

Not surprised, I've been ignoring them because I'm disgusted with these sad genetics but I'll get it fixed up at lights on because they're so spindly that I don't have many leaves to lose

I'll do a runoff and check on all of them even though that's the only one showing the issue
 
Update: before I forget

Flushed with 6.8 / 100 PPM

Runoff was 6.6 / 440 PPM (in both readings)

The only problem I see is these piss poor genetics

Upped the food to 650ppm

I have one of those "It's a small world" stories about the Protopipe.
When I was very young, 4th grade, we lived in Laytonville, Ca. My best friend's mom & stepdad just so happened to be friends with one of the inventors/owners of the protopipe which was being made in Willits, a neighboring town.
It was all very shady back then the way the law was going after growers and head shops so if you were a part of that, there was a good chance you were being stalked by LEO.
I remember one particular party at my friends house where they were passing around protopipes and for some reason my friend's mom told me not to tell anybody about who I saw at the party. Not even tell my mom about it and act like the party never happened. I got the impression he was running from the law and really didn't care. I was kid and was into dirt bikes was my priority.
Once in high school, I lived in Lake County and knew a guy who had a protopipe. I ended up trading some bud for it and it was my pipe until around the age of 22-23.
Fast forward to the late 90s and I'm living in Austin, Texas. Somewhere along the line I had lost my protopipe and I went to a head shop that had been opened here since the late 60s for a new pipe.
I see a protopipe behind the glass and was ecstatic telling the guy behind the counter how I remember that pipe from years earlier in California, talking about Laytonville and Willits. Dude got a huge grin and we started connecting some dots. Here we were almost 20 years and 1200 miles away later, the guy at that party was the same guy standing behind the counter selling me a new protopipe.
Turned out he had worked a deal with the shop to come down here and sell the pipes.
The history behind that piece is something else. Never woulda thought that pipe would outlast the war on drugs, Nancy Regan's DARE, all the harassment and arrests, head shop busts using Gestapo tactics, to come out on the other end and beat California prohibition. A true David and Goliath story.

I just realized that these flowering plants are giving off absolutely no odor

I have a brand new filter still sitting in the box I haven't even hung yet, no need to

I've never had anything that didn't have at least some smell, maybe It'll develop eventually

Two of three normal plants are showing issues on the bottom leaves, and the mutant is having some tip burn/curl

I'm in Pro mix BX

The last runoff reading I took 2 weeks ago (with the flush water being 100 PPM / 6.8) was 440 PPM / 6.7

Tonight the mutant with some tip burn (flushed with 100ppm/6.8) came out 325ppm / 6.6 beginning of flush, & 425ppm / 6.6 at the end

What I think's happening is I'm not feeding them strong enough, they were getting 400 PPM in veg & 600PPM in bloom, been feeding light because they're so runty

I upped it tonight to 650, next watering will be 700 PPM

I'm using Master blend, I've switched to my first-stage flowering mix tonight, increasing the master blend and decreasing the calcium nitrate

I'm also going to be cutting the light 1 hour per week every Sunday just to get these finished up

I'd like to hear opinions because I can't find anything else wrong, except for being underfed

Edit: I gave them a magnesium spraying about a week ago

I flipped these December 1st, that's some sad growth right there. Best I can do is cut the light pump newts in them and get them the hell out of the tent as quickly as I can

I want to get a small led light to start some seeds about 2 weeks before these are done, I'm going to hang it from a rack, I'm really challenged for space here but I'll figure it out

Any suggestions on a small led light?
 
For just a couple weeks any good fluorescent light would work.
In most of my grows I start under a LED fish light that is probably weak/ inferior to LED grow light even at basic starting models.
Nobody here endorses Mars Hydro but G$ and myself use them. I think Granny also.
Cheap for what they are IMO

Thanks for the input, I was thinking something more along the lines of a flat panel light because I'm going to attach it to the underside of a rack, above the propagation mat & tray

If you wouldn't mind maybe I could float a few choices I'm considering by you for input, cuz I've never owned a led light and not sure what I need

Also is there a better place for me to post questions? I'm not that familiar with where to post what here yet
 
Something like this, just to pop seeds and hold them for a week or so till tent is open.

Hey, I'm a fan of the Spiderfarmer stuff, I have 5 of their lights and 2 tents. I have 2 -SE3000 & 1 G3000 I can't tell the difference between plants grown under 1 or the other. The G series are a bit cheaper but as far as I can see they perform the same.

I'm vegging now under their 74w SF600 up to about 5 weeks then they need more light or need to be flipped

Or maybe something old school like this I could use one to start seeds, two if I have to hold the seedlings for a little while to let the flowering plants finish and I could use the other two out in the garage, these Im familiar with. Screenshot_20250105-134301.jpg

Hey buddy, Happy New Year!🥂

For a couple months next summer I'm going to have to switch over to leds because of the heat so I'll keep those in mind

Right now I just want something that will let me crack seeds and hold the seedlings for a couple weeks max, then I'll pop them in the tent under my HID
