yup one rice grain looked like thatIt will look like cotton but not overly thin and whispy when colonizing the grain or rice…

In the substrate it will look like thicker thread type growth.

Interesting, the mycellium goes hydrophobic? You can see the water droplets on it from the humidity and the media will also no longer absorb moisture but water droplets will pool when its ready…. Called hydrophobic
The mycelium are hydrophobic in a sense but at they colonize the substrate the substrate becomes hydrophobicInteresting, the mycellium goes hydrophobic?
Youll get it man and once you do its easy. Its harder when you dont know what your looking for and the easiest then is to follow a proven methodi had some mycellium growth and then my electricity went out lol
at the top part, theres a rice grain in the middle of others with some hairs on it.Ahh can't really see but theres a white fuzz on one grain.
You may want to just put some painters tape over that slit to prevent bacteria from getting into it. I think i see some but not sure. Never done rice so im not sure how ling it will take to fully colonizeOk can't see it for shit here, but there's bits that are indeed colonized.
We have mycelium.
No micro pore tape, just sprayed with a sterilizer

Sometimes I use this, spray my hands down and spray things down with it.You may want to just put some painters tape over that slit to prevent bacteria from getting into it. I think i see some but not sure. Never done rice so im not sure how ling it will take to fully colonize
If I didn't already contaminate itYou may want to just put some painters tape over that slit to prevent bacteria from getting into it. I think i see some but not sure. Never done rice so im not sure how ling it will take to fully colonize
I usually do it at 25% and again around 75-80% it stalls em for a day or 2 so try to avoid it if possible. I will skip the 25% if they are evenly distributed which they should be with grain to grain but prob not with liquid syringes unless you mix it super well on inoculationIf I didn't already contaminate it
broke it up and shook the bag all up
should see a lot more colonization
banking on, itll colonize before anything else gets in the bag, hopefully.

Ill get pics today… i need to start misting… was gonna try to get away without but the top is dry. I gotta stop neglecting shit lol.A Tighter white fuzz on a few pieces.
Not that other mold looking shit lol
Can't see shit here f course but that white piece in the middle
Multiple pieces like it.
Right, gotta stay on top and ahead of things.Ill get pics today… i need to start misting… was gonna try to get away without but the top is dry. I gotta stop neglecting shit lol.
Still no pins
Yup looks like it… now just let it rest and colonizeLooks like mycellium
I wouldn’t to much risk of contam unless pasteurizedI have a tote of coco that is wet and sealed so it's Rh is up there, nothing has grown in it, there's only synthetic nutrients, in it.
Could this mean there's definitely bacteria and or spores/fungi in there but nothing to feed on so nothing growing in it currently
? Would it be fine to mix the rice into that tote once it's fully colonized or should I get some fresh coco.
Ok I'll figure a way to pasteurize itI wouldn’t to much risk of contam unless pasteurized
Have a sous vide?Ok I'll figure a way to pasteurize it
Should I just boil the coco?
Clean the tote out, boil the coco, transfer to tote to seal up, place it in fridge for a little?
Once colonized enough to mix?
No but I got the conceptHave a sous vide?
