CannaGranny’s Corner a Thread For General BS and Good Will On BudBuilders

What do you mean I don’t get snow. Wasn’t that long ago mayor Lastman had the army come dig us out. 🤦

I’ve had more than 4’ high snow falls before drifts or snow piles. I may not live on a mountain but we are between to large lakes.

I just stopped enjoying being out in it after I hit 50.
90% off your winter was green last year lol
Weve been hammered compared to you the past 2 years

you get city snow, it's not the same... you sit in your jammies and wait for someone to plow you out then you go out and shovel the sidewalk... ppppfffff!!!

not the same... just sayin...

dig your ass out to the plow and hope you don't get stuck or break anything pay for all the gas and parts for yourself and then when you're done still shovel the sidewalk and all that... now thats country life baby!! 🤠

Oh shit, DO NOT GOOGLE blumpkin unless you want to gouge your eyes out.

Thanks for getting me on that special watch list MDK. I should have known to go incognito before looking that up.

i had to google it too... soooo glad no pics popped up and just a short description. and here i thought i was turned off from pumpkin spiced stuff before know what that was!!! HA!

i've always wanted to be a mountain man, but i'm told to be a mountain it must be at least 1000ft in elevation. i'm stuck down here at 986ft and just a hillbilly!!!!! :D

Been there.
Lived atop a mountain at a Christian camp.
When it snowed, you made a pass every 45 minutes to an hour or you were not gonna plow at all.
This was an all night thing too. Salting sidewalks and shit cause apparently Christians don't sleep!

It’s the wind on top this mountain in the winter that I hate. I don’t care how layered up one dresses that shit goes right through it.

Wind is what ruins the cold for me, I can handle the cold but like you say it doesn't matter what you wear the wind goes right through like a screen.

Lol least your not a city slicker

proudly not a single day of my life!!

i know it doesn't protect every part from the wind but i like to wear a thin 4X windbreaker jacket overtop of my coat. really helps a lot for my atv in the winter. mine has a tall collar that zips up over my mouth to keep my neck warm.

my hands are my weak spot in the cold...

Not a bad idea.

I wear 3 or 4 pair of jersey gloves and then a pair of thick thinsulate leather work gloves. They're the best I've found so far.

I have a snow mobile coat I wear. It’s pretty warm, but I hate being outside with the wind. There are very few trees or other natural wind blocks on this summit. It’s 30 - 40 mph north or northwesterly winds all the time during winter. When it gets windy it’s 50+ mph around here. You don’t leave anything outside up here in winter.

i've never been in 50+ in my life that i can ever remember... respect!

Mile long just to have peace and quiet.
Got none of that here.
:willy:

Hahaha it's because fabric originally came from jersey during the medieval period

So
Jersey gloves.
They're just cotton gloves.
But yeah jersey sucks 🤣

i had assumed they were the cotton ones (i hate the ones with that sticky coating) (<- those gotta be made in Jersey.. the sticky stuff is like velcro mittens for the sheep!!!)

Same, can't wait to leave this place

i sometimes forget just how awesome the quiet is. i never here traffic or people ever... like tonight all i can hear is the high school football game about five or six miles away down in the valley... go panthers!!!!!

real late at night and early in the morning if there's no wind you can hear trains hooking up like three of four mountains away... with a telescope i can see them then like a minutes later you can hear it!!!!! freakin crazy and mind blowing!!!

i just wish i could shut off power in town.. i live in a fairly small town but it's only a few miles down the hill nice to be away and kinda close at the same time, i can get to a grocery store, auto parts, and true value and a bunch others within ten minutes so it is nice having it close yet far enough away to never see or hear it. but all the lights from town make it tough to see stars!!!! when we have total blackouts every ten years or so it is kinda awesome, the sky looks amazing!

it's really hard for us to travel anymore and sleep in hotels where it's noisy... "thank god i'm a country boy" 𝅘𝅥𝅯𝅘𝅥𝅯
