Honestly there's probably not a whole lot more to it than a portable heat pump. Obviously it would do heat, cool & air circulation, so the only real trick would be dehumidification. But that could be done pretty easily. Basically if you disconnect the exhaust pipe of a portable AC unit it becomes a dehumidifier. All you would need is a couple dampers to direct air either through the venting to the outside or back into the room if you want to dehumidify. The problem would be working out controls for everything. Not that it can't be done, or would even be necessarily that difficult. However given that about the cheapest I can find a portable heat pump is about $450 that doesn't leave you much budget to buy dampers & controls before it would become more expensive that the ACI one. However at $1,000+ you could maybe justify DIY'ing one.
I already use a portable AC unit for the basement in the summer, dehumidifies if want. A Danby. Not great. Never seems to be able to do more than 5* difference when we get around the 30* mark.

Yeah I used to have to leave the lung room closed because of the smell and struggle with heat in the summer because of it. I have the smell eliminated now, so hoping the AC will be able to keep up this summer.

I've debated a portable AC unit in past summers, but going to see how this works out this summer, I think it will work out having the open door to the lung room 10' from the thermostat

Should have got some input here before putting something new in the mix.

Did a res change last night and put in liquid Koolbloom for the first time. I think I'm at week 5/6. I cut back on nitrogen and florabloom. Also used the sulferic acid to lower pH after silicate for the first time.

I've read some stuff that scares me about nute burn from koolbloom. Ending EC was 1.4, a little lower than the last change at 1.6. I think I should be good, just following a few charts.

Also reduced light power on main light from 100 to 70.

Any input is welcome.

Adjusted lights back to 100 until I get back next week from this trip. Then will wind it all down for the last 2-3 weeks.

Yesterday picture, still a lot of new pistols, so figured I still should push them, right?

man i'm fucking ready for the first harvest back from my 1.5 year hiatus.
learning so much!! it's crazy... while this grow is hands down my best grow, I am aware of several points I can improve on for the next one.
  • I nute burned them bad seeing how hard i could push
    • Now I'm aware of where that line is with my nutrient line up.
  • Didn't trim well enough underneath
    • missed the popcorn line by a few inches
  • Didn't feed enough calmag early on
    • had defencies a few weeks before flower, possibly could have gone into flower at a healthier state
  • didn't ph down silica before adding nutes during veg
    • likely not giving plants everything i thought i was due to nute precipitation
  • ph adjustments too strong
    • diluted ph adjustment solutions
    • hooked controller to timer to slow release
  • total volume too small
    • plants taking nutes faster than i can supply them leading to haphazard adjustments
    • increase each plant site volume before next grow, use existing epicenter
    • roots filled out site before flower (partially due to over veg of one plant)

While i have a few things to improve on, i am overall very happy with this grow and look forward to the next!!
still on the fence about building a scrog net next time, but def need big cola support and a more even canopy

new supplies are in, another 1-2 weeks then chop chop!

going to try the famous chikamasa chop sticks for the first time with this one.

Was just looking ahead and it looks like the next run are sativa.. I don't think I've ever done it. Imagine I just need to flip early AF, and topping and scrogging can limit height, right?

Our one plant is really leaning Sativa. From flip we usually go about 90 days.

I top once when they start getting big and usually again before SCROG or trellis. Depends how things go. Only a one gallon pot this time. Usually up pot to a 3G.

Sons first time growing so he’s not doing bad. When the stretch ends we will lollipop more. Trying to keep anything that’s getting light until then.

A few times at harvest I just cut the trunk and flip the table and let it dry in the tent.

Fantastic grow bud. Hope the final weight reflects how good it looks.

Thanks for sharing! She looks good!

Yeah it looks like I'll need to be more on top of height and branching next go if I'm going to pull it off.

Got to make me a scrog net, PVC and some kind of wire I guess?

Keep the light intensity up too and or a higher blue spectrum if you can, in an effort to manipulate elongation, grow it like an indica, short veg time too, similar night/day temperatures

They are a bit over watered imo. Wrinkles on the leaves. But this is my sons first grow. Mines the healthy hot mess in the 3x1 tent section.

I made a few tables. These ones can fold away, just don’t glue and joints. I also make it so they can stack if the tops get big and heavy. I used nets and shower curtain clips to hold them in place. I suppose you could use ATV nets too, they come with hooks already attached.

Hey I don't understand what you mean by, don't glue end joints. You mean to make them so they can fold instead, like a hinge?
What size squares did you do?

All the parts are just held together by friction and the net keeps tension on it so they can’t fall apart.

This lets me move the + parts attached to the legs like a rotating hinge. Offset the legs so they don’t hit each other when folded. Makes it easy to put away flat.

I bought nets from the grow store as I was in a hurry. It’s a bit small for the frame but works.

Keep a main set of legs at whatever hight you usually plan to SCROG at. You can get couplings to add more length if needed later.

I have a table build on here in one of my threads but I can help you if you want. Others do it a little differently too.

Here’s the net I used.

ooooooooooooweeee I took some nice ones.
didn't realize if you turn the lights down you can get some sick pics!

Really loving how the white rhino is finishing!!

Edit, these two colas made it without any support, just silica strong i guess

Chonkers, I'd try to check the middle for mold just to check, what's ur rh been like

Some really nice looking buds, nice man.

I really hope not. I don't suspect any mold, VPD above 1.3.
Got mad constant air flow, for scrubbing and to handle this. At least that was the plan. I have ventilation over kill for a 2x4, 4 & 6" intakes and 6" exhaust. Plus the rh has been low, ane my temps are on the warm side giving high VPD.

Not sure on ppfd, you think I don't have enough power? In hindsight I think I underpowered week 7 or something of flower, I probably added two weeks to it I guess.

I'm almost there, seems like 5-10% amber
