Grow 4 life, Mr.G grow and show.

Due for another sulphur spray tonight at lights off, every time I go in, I take a fistful of leaves, 35DLI, will have all the plants in final pots tomorrow, I didn’t think the plants would be this far along at this point, and i really don’t want harvest lined up with Christmas, so I’ll probably keep these in veg till Nov 5, daylight savings time change here that day anyway. Still waiting on Amazon delivery to finish transplant
a couple of the do-si-do plants are 2 of the most girthy squat plants I’ve seen, stems so damn woody, refuses to stretch, probably not as happy as the others with the intense lighting. Keep having to strip leaves out, as it’s growing like a cauliflower. They can’t all be diamonds👌IMG_3840.jpeg

Bell Peppers after 1 week leaf strip and heavy pruning, ready to bloom again inside. Killing frost in the forecast tonight, will be good for knocking the bugs in the yard back, which helps to keep the inside garden clean. IMG_3845.jpegIMG_3848.jpeg

Was tired of waiting on Amazon to deliver the containers, ended up picking up some 3gal nursary pots from my local grow shop. also needed to pick up some more 3part Diablo, and the guys hooked me up with a couple starter kits for a price I couldn’t refuse, it Cost less than just buying the 3 part separately.

Got home and delivery was on the front porch, no updates with the tracking to let me know. I still prefer to go to an actual store to make purchases, but Amazon was my only option for fabric pots.
Room is a jungle, I’ll get this transplant done shortly. IMG_3849.jpeg

I’d be worried it would gum up the dishwasher, I do put my hats in tho.
I run the dishwasher on hot so most of it is melted anyways but you got me thinking that maybe that's not the best thing for the sewer line down the road

I forgot to mention that mid last week, I started dropping the light schedule by an hour every couple days or so, I increase the light intensity to keep the DLI the same, down to 15 hours today, will be down to 12 by Sunday.
Also, will be adjusting the ph of the feed to 6.2, I have been feeding at 5.8. IMG_3899.jpegIMG_3901.jpeg

Beautiful! What size pots are those?
All plants are in 3gal containers. Coco/per.
What nutrients are you running?
I’m running a bit of an organic/synthetic hybrid feed. Using Diablo 3part, and 4-6 additives, also using SeaK, and sea monster once or twice a week. Also giving bud blood for the next couple weeks to push budset.
I’m not sure how many total products I use, probably 12-15.
I would highly recommend dynamyco, or similar, grew all my outside garden plants with it this year as well, and had really strong plants.

thanks bud

was curious

That's a good sign you know what you're doing.
I'm a minimalist and use maybe 5 products if you include peroxide and ph adjusters. Most folks who run as many products as you've got going, end up overdoing it and killing their plants with kindness.

Yes. They get silica.

It’s a salt and pepper umbrella approach to giving the plants what they want, I haven’t given them more than 1.2EC in a feed, and always have significant runoff. It is a lot of different products to be using, but with each res I mix up, I usually use between 5-7 products, and I don’t use many of the other offerings in the Diablo lineup, that I don’t deem essential.

And that's how it's done! Haha.

Can you explain how you see the silica working ?
growing a plant without silica and growing one with, the stems/branches will not be as thick as the one being supplied SiO2/SiO4

it physically makes the cells "bigger", if theirs enough to go around, you'll "see" it through out the plant.

a number of positive effects on plants and plant metabolism - These include:
  • Increased nutrient uptake: SiO2/SiO4/MSA can help plants to absorb more nutrients from the soil, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. This can lead to improved growth and development.
  • can help to strengthen the cell walls and reduce water loss.
  • Increased resistance to pests and diseases: SiO2/SiO4/MSA can help plants to resist pests and diseases by making them less palatable to insects and by activating the plant's defense mechanisms.
one can "see" the differences comparing plants growing with and without SiO2/SiO4

FYI
Stems and branches do not become larger by Silica, (mono) it increases the branch or stem strength, also makes them brittle. It also increases cell wall health and it can help prevent mold in buds but it has to be balances because if you run it all the way to the end it can make rock hard buds.

if all cells are "Reinforced" or "made" "bigger" by the SiO4, wouldn't the plant be "bigger"?

same everything, remove Silica from one plant,
IME, the non-silica plants are "smaller" and this is a fact for me in my head-cannon, am i wrong? possibly, i dont know ive grown 7 times~.

just trying to deeper understand it/further "understanding"

No, not really. It's a nutrient with a total plant volume measured in ppm. If It adds anything to the weight it isn't much.
The benefits of using silica are stabilization of the ph in the nutrient solution, and stronger more durable plant tissues.
