Kuwl's Deja Vue All Over Again

What Moe said yesterday was that when I first start adding the micro to the water my waters ph was too high and the minerals were separating out....So I lowered the ph to 6.96 below 7 was the goal before I added the micro...I'm not sure yet as I said but what I see now is more cloudy than it was. After I lowered my water to 6.96 I added the nutes in order then after all the nutes were in the ph was 5.86 and I though that was too low for me so I added 2ml/gal ph up after diluting it first in my well water.

I'm not sure lowering it then raising it with acids and alkali 's work well in conjunction with all my nutes and well water. It maybe tricky to get it all balanced......gee's its a good thing I got nothing better to do...lol
My PH is 5.8 in the tank and when I checked the trays today it was 6.0
Not cloudy at all but still gets this build up of crud in the tank.

Still thinking that looks like diatoms.
They don't need light but use it if possible.
From reading it seems they come in brown or red which would match our description.

Still there is the slime and that's worse cause it plugs up the filter.

Correction:
Well the light is on while I am working down there and sometimes it takes an hour or two.
There is that quarter size hole in the top of the res tank cover and so I guess for short periods of time, light will get in.

Week 9 in Flower

Checked the res tank this morning and it's clear.
I can see the bubbler plain as day.
PPM = 580 PH 5.8 Tent Temp 82 Hummi 36%
I removed the Pump and the air bubbler.
I seen no garbage on the pump or the bubbler so that's good.

I want to see what happens when nothing is in the tank like when I first started.
Pot trays are ok.
Hole @ top of RT is covered.

No color changes is any of the leaves.
Looks like they not even close to ending.
I will only add Flawless Finish/PH Water/HyClean/H202 from now on but will
keep the nutes that are in the tank (Looks to be 6-7 gals).
Keeping the light where it is for now @ 70%.
I figure 2 more weeks, at least from what they look like now.
Finishing has always been the trickiest part for me.

Cooking with Kuwl
I Cook some good stuff
Here it is, enjoy!

Kuwl's Chicken Finger Recipe
2 gal zip lock bags. one for 2 cups of flour and 1 for 4 packs of crackers.
Crush the crackers to medium fine, 1/4 the size of a dime or less.
1 large bowl for 4 eggs beaten.
12 or more chicken tenders.

Dip in flour, then egg then cracker crumbs.
Press in cracker bag till crackers stick until tender is coated on all parts
Heat oil in deep fryer till 365 degrees.
Fry for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
Done
All you need now is Franks Hot Sauce and Blue Cheese and Celery.

This is what they look like in the process.
Got my stuff ready and heating up the oil

Lookin good, I could go for that now,I likes the hot sauce, Franks is a bit mild for me but its a good starter sauce to begin with. I eat the Ghost pepper/ Carolina Reaper sauce...just a drop or 2 will do at a time but I likes it hot, hotter the better in small doses

I really hate starting over again but it is what it is.
Not that I have to or anything but help is getting thin so we'll give it a go here @ Budbuilders.
No time to post stuff now but will tomorrow.

In a nutshell:
I am using a Auto Pot System with a 4x4 Vivosun roof tent.
MarsHydro FC4800 light and Spider-Farmer 6" controller exhaust and 4" controller intake fans.
Growing a QC Blue, Fruity OG, Sour Diesel-(SD went to seed so now it a Cookie Monster) and
2 plants that were thrown in there late, 2-3 weeks late, Wedding Cake and Durban Poison
One is in with the 4 Pot Auto Pots (2.2 gal.) and the other is a stand alone in a 3 gal cloth pot.
The 3 in AP's (SD, F OG, QC B) are 8 weeks into flower.
One Plant Dos Si Dos was a Male and was destroyed, that's when I put the WC in it's place.
Glad to see ya here.

Ghost Pepper sauce burns my mouth so bad I can't taste anything hahaha.
I like the flavor and the not too hotness of Frank's and I've tried alot of hot sauces.
You can see it's a work in progress cause some of the bottles are still sealed.
It would take me quite awhile to adjust my tongue to the Ghost Pepper Sauce. 🥵

Panda's such a ham unlike Shady who sneaks around and hides alot.

Back to Business,

I checked the Main Res tank (MRT) and it was clear.
Took this pic to show how clear it is so far, checking daily.
It has about 4-5 gal in it as they are still drinking pretty good.
You can see the filter at the bottom clearly.
IMG_4500.JPG
I took the DP off the main feed line and hooked up the Spare RES Tank (SRT)
to that tray/pot to give it a proper feed level.
It's now at 800 PPM PH 5.8
Pro-Tekt 5ml/ KB 1tsp/ Mag Pro 1/2tsp/ Zyme 5ml/ HyClean 1ml/ H202 1tsp

Checked all pot trays and they ok.
Louped the buds and although the pistils are not all brown they are getting there.
Leaves have no color so it's gonna be awhile.
The QC B looks the best!
Heres some pic's
1st is QC B
No amber and the pitils are still white so another week to 2 weeks on this one.
IMG_4511.JPGIMG_4512.JPGIMG_4513.JPGIMG_4514.JPG
Here is F OG
This one might be closer than I thought cause I'm seein' amber!!
Now have to figure when to harvest and I'm thinking this week, Fri at the latest.
IMG_4508.JPGIMG_4506.JPGIMG_4505.JPG
I seen this rogue in the empty SD pot I guess one fell and germ'ed lol
Maybe I'll put it outside and see what happens.
IMG_4516.JPG
I got some plumbing going on here.

I'm loving your work in the garden and kitchen Kuwl!
Chicken tenders look outstanding!
I've been upping my fried chicken game doing a pickle juice marinade and air frying but I'm damn sure gonna steal your recipe.
Sharing the love on hot sauces too. Ghost and Carolina Reaper can be too hot for me but I love some Cholula especially the green. I use so much of that I buy it in 64oz jugs.

Thanks for the compliment Bandit!

Keep it simple 365 degrees (veg oil) and use only saltine crackers and chicken tenders, if you do it exactly as I posted you will be amazed at how good these things are!
I've tried oven and air frying but the only way I got that perfect crunch and flavor is to deep fry them.
I even pondered the idea of a food truck just serving these chicken fingers they're so good!!
I do like that pickle juice idea and was thinking of it last night lol
Not sure if It would change the result but would be worth a try for sure.

Surprise!
Checked the filter in MRT and damn it, the filter was plugged again!!
WOW, I am confuseded and confounded, it was fine yesterday.
It's that greasy kid's stuff I was talking about.
I am hand mixing the tanks at this time with no bubbler or pump in there.

There was no problem with the filter in the SRT. (700 PPM now)

I confiscated a plastic screen strainer from the kitchen to use to catch those diatoms.
It works prety good and beats empting the tank out everytime.
Since I am adding so little to the mix I am not sure what could be causing the goo.

PPM 425 PH 5.8 (MRT)
I added 2 gals of nutes
8ml per gal of Flawless Finish
With nothing else in the mix, so as to delute the remaining Nutrients in the tank.
I removed 3 gals of nutes from the tank to make room for the change in nutes.
Added the 3 gals of nutes to SRT which brought down the PPM from 800 to 700 PPM.

Well here are the pic's
1st one is of the front of the closed filter.
IMG_4520.JPG
Next is when I rolled my finger acrossed it to form this tacky ball of goo.
IMG_4521.JPGIMG_4522.JPGOpened filter cartridge with back of filter showing.
IMG_4523.JPGMy hack w/kitchen strainer and diatoms scooped up in a paper towel IMG_4524.JPG
Everything else is looking ok, no problems in the trays or plants.
I would say the F OG is 3-5% amber on the small flower leaves, no amber on the flowers themselves.
I am not sure I have the patience to go past friday.

Sour Diesel, 1 week in the drying tent
Tent Temp 67.5 Hummi 63.5
Hummi is very high but can't think of anything I can do to remidy it.
But it is looking pretty good and might be ready by the time Fruity OG is harvested.
I hope.

63rh is still good id say, and temp is under 70 at least

And ew that goo, why I run sterile.

I have no idea how to run sterile ?
I did look up some stuff and alot of the time it seems tea is the answer.
That seems complicated and expensive.
I do have worm castings I could make tea from I guess.
I am going to try something else.
Also there is a machine called a "chiller" which cools the tank water down.
Expensive tho.
I added the bubbler back into the MRT and also added the H202 back.
I read 2 drops of clorine bleach per gallon will help with the bacteria build up.
I am going to try that one to see what happens.
The water in each tank looks great! It's clear and can see the bottom.
Tomorrow should be interesting to see if the H202 and bleach will slow it down or stop it or kill my plants lol.

well if youre using organic inputs and microbes, h2o2 and bleach will cancel those out (?), are you using a soil mix?

and using liquid feed?

i gotta scroll through

where as, i use coco and perlite, and synthetic soluble salts for my NPK and i use H2o2 and Hypo-acid for Pesticide/fungicide and oxygenation.
so this ^ would be a sterile "system"

instead of

using dirt/soil/earth with little bugs that eat things, shit them out, smaller things eat those then the nutrients are available to the plant for uptake - organic. in short lol.

Soil mix with coco coir and perlite and clay balls
Liquid feed Dyna Gro Products
It's a gravity feed system that feeds the pots in a valve operated tray from the res tank.

How do you keep the roots out of the valve? That's been my issue but that was a decade ago.
The socks are new I got them with my last order, the 2.2 gal system
Pot socks and Root stoppers
Root blockers goes into the pot to stop them and
the Pot Socks go over the outside of the pot.
I use both cause I have them but the socks are the best.

Dyna grow is a good simple product… just so you are aware it synthetic so you dont need to worry about microbes if you choose to go sterile. How long are you keeping a res? Longer than 3 days with aoil mixed in you will prob see issues from the organics. If you remove the soil from the mix you can do live or sterile. In your case as it sits sterile as suggested may be the way to go for now. Organics in water is a pita indoors

Thanks for the input everyone.

Can I ask if there is a better choice of nutrient products to use as I am wrapping this grow up and I’m thinking about changing Nutrients for another auto Pot grow.
I know there are a lot out there,
PipeCarver uses General Hydroponics I believe
And was thinking of going that way for this type of grow.

I've not used much nutrient lines so far but from what I've heard and tried

GH was one of the first on the market, can't really go wrong with there lineup

Dynagrow is also a good one

I use jacks 5-12-26 15-0-0 and epsom salt because it works, and it's cheap as fuck.
