Are these peristaltic pumps supposed to work with the pH meter? I'm guessing since they're the same brand they are part of a system?
A sensor is supposed to connect to the controller. But I didn't actually see it included.

The res looks way better today than it did yesterday. Not sure what was going on. If it happens on next change I'll add more hydroguard again.

I feed every two days. It seem to be in it's best mood 24hr after feeding. This isn't a strain that shows trichomes at 2 weeks. But it has a lot of solid bud sites along the branch. This strain is very vigorous and I'm hoping the buds grow as happy as she is now.IMG_0337.jpegIMG_0339.jpegIMG_0340.jpegIMG_0341.jpeg

Im running 180 watts right now for the curious. 70cm x 70cm. I thinks that's 5.1sf.
DLI looks to be around 40 to 45 via Photone on my iPad.

Here is the moisture lvl of the media over a 7 day period. The spikes are my waterings every 48 hrs. I use a $30 ecowitt moisture meter with wifi base to see on my phone. I think the wifi portion is $45 or 50. Yup. Habosabin budget high tech shed grow by the river.IMG_0343.png

On another note kali pge is raising electric rates 10 to 13%. I pay about $650(equivalent) in electricity per month already. My solar contributes $250 and I pay additional $400 per month!! I have to be in some sort of simulation testing my sanity.

Nice pattern.

30$ for a moisture meter?

Haven't looked into em yet but that's doable.

That or manually weighing and measuring and jotting it down and comparing.

Thanks.

This really helps me understand what's going on in the media. It's interesting to see the second day drop so fast.

You can see it in the bucket. It's green and I have tape over the red led. It uses 1 aa and I haven't had to change it yet. This is second grow with it.

Holy fuck

My lst bill was 300 but should be around 200 if shit wasn't fucked I think

Think my AC isn't performing as efficiently for example and it's running longer even when lights are off during the day and it's only 90 outside....

Might need a checkup and tune. Rates here are triple between 4pm and 9pm. And now they are going to raise it 13%.

I received the ph controller today. Looks like everything but the instructions. The sensor was included. I plugged it in and the motor works. I just need to figure out how to pump the ph and how much it doses. My res is only 10 gallon so will have to see how much it changes on dosing.20230928_190540.jpg20230928_190508.jpg

Awesome.

whats the Green thing called?

I use the h&g osmosis ph stabilizer and my ph has been pretty solid. Takes like a day stabilize then it holds well. The auto system will be cool at res change for sure.

So this is what I did. My res is at 5.8(may not be exact) I installed ph controller and set trigger at 8 and dropped sensor in and uncalibrated was 6.2 was on the controller. I squirt some ph up and it goes to 6.3. I then manually turn the dial slowly until it kicks on. I diluted the pH down 1 to 3 ro. Pumps continously until the sensor changes from 6.3. Mine dropped into the 5s and then after sufficient mix settled to 6.2.

I was using these 500ml squirt bottles to dose before I got the controller and these tubes fit perfectly over those squirt tips.

Pics of the setup are always appreciated.

So it's holding steady? I thought they were called peristaltic pumps?

OK. Don't laugh. My setup is so janky.

You are right. I wasn't sure what the name of the pump. It didn't say the description but it was larger than I thought. It's holding steady at 6.2.

I am in serious need of a clean up.

I had it covered in cardboard to try and maintain more heat at night.

I'm so lazy with regards to calibration. I used to buy the solution to calibrate and calibrating stuff seems so tedious. Just to lose calibration in 3 months from drift. I found this test strips that are really solid. I test using that. Then use the relative numbers in the devices to adjust.

If the devices are way off then I'll calibrate.

I ended up getting one of these as well. I should of had 2 more blue labs but they seem to have disappeared. Anyways, I got mine today. Less creator comforts than blue lab but should still can be dialed in I believe. I took a look at the instructions, (Joke). I checked calibration spot on out of the box. You have no control over the time the pump runs. I use phos acid which is heavier than water. Anyways I would suggest lowering the PH solution to about 25 percent strength and using the dial and start out one or 2 points about where you want to be. Adjust as required.

Thanks for the tips Anthem. Good to know it was accurate right out of the box. Yeah. I wasn't sure about what triggered it to stop other than the reading. It seemed to pump continously until it dropped below the threshold.

Ya that pump is huge compared to the blue lab stuff. I might drop my PH down to 10 percent. The stuff I use is 70 percent out of the container and way to hot for those pumps so probably going down to 10 percent for me!
