We need to change your user title. Admin in training?
assistant to the reginal manager is perfect Moe, i luv it!!! i was kinda waiting till i actually fixed something before i officially changed it
If you are bumping your PH up repeatedly with Agsil, you may be getting too much Potassium for girls this little.
i've been using KOH, i mix potassium hydroxide with water..
adding extra was also a concern of mine and maybe raising the ph after i already raised and lowered it wasn't the best idea... live and learn and figured i'd find out.
Putting this here to compare to tomorrow.
here's today about 20 hours after that last photo.. please tell me what you're seeing or looking for at this young stage?

the root staining just showed up today from the floralicious, it washes off with clean water.
Let's go over your numbers again. Are you still here:
Nutrients are FloraNova series and Agsil16H as a buffer along with plant revolution Orca and King Crab>
starting solution levels are:
70 ppm of K buffer
- 70 ppm of cal/mag
- 100 ppm of Nova grow
=240 total ppm @ 5.5 ph
yes sir, only adding the floralicious plus raised it 20ppm so now riding right at 260ppm ph 6.0 and 71°
What is the PH trend? What is the total EC right now and trend?
well not much to trend over just nine days, but the solution started at 5.5 and then you mentioned you like 6. for bennies so i added 1ml of KOH to my 25gallon system (actually it's 26 gallons when water level is up at seedling height) daily to bring it up to 6. so trend has been all up since the beginning. stress, i understand i've done this hoping it would be worth it in making the bennies be all that they can be.
Can you tell me what Floranova series and which feed chart are you using?
I've been kinda going by the 8 part and staying just under the low feed recommendations. the only two changes i make are i don't use armor si i use agsil16 in place of it and a 2ml/gal. and i don't use Rapid start because i'm not a millionaire.
for 26 gallons i used 50ml Agsil16 - 25ml KOH then pH down under 7.0 and let sit for an hour then added 12ml calimagic - 25ml novagrow - 12ml orca - 12ml king crab at this point the pH was 5.5 at this time. then after seven days of that i added 25ml of floralicious. Gh strongly suggests adding the floralicious very last because of the small amount of organics in it. i don't think it's much at all.
Also it's early but any evidence of biologics in the res or roots? Got a pic?
as in what? like foam? i tried to take a photo of the rez bottom but the camera wasn't showing what i could see. nothing alarming at all, i felt the bottom and it was squeaky, no slime or any build up of any kind if that's what i'm looking for?
Buddy I wouldn't worry about pulling that girl up. Hit them with some blue and far red if you want them to grow your way. But don't go up in PPFD, if any pull a touch back overall. I'm a little worried that the cotyledons are getting eaten up this early on the smaller plant. It also looks like stage .1 of tip burn to me. If it were me I would minimize all stresses possible.
okay i won't, i'll at least wait till i go to prune then decide then. not much to really gain at this point by doing it.
Adding organics to a tuned system is usually not a great thing. It's gotta get broken down to be usable, meaning you are actively seeking other types of bacteria. And dealing with the associated waste products. You are going to want some enzymes handy and be prepped to do a water change if you don't get the colony you are looking for. Like snot on the roots and netpot.
i can understand that. i chose nova series for a few reasons and the small amount of organics in the floralicious are tiny, but t's what i picked so it's what i'm growing with i don't really mind the staining it brings. but i don't really have a "way" or favorite solution or nutes yet, i'm way too new at this to have any opinion on any of it so i'm just going off of pure advice and common sense. all the what and what not to do will come with time and experiments/mistakes along the way i guess. it's been a lot of fun learning though and although my timing of trying certain changes might not be the best i'm just trying to gain experience.
i'm kinda like the vice assistant to regional management of hydro as well!!!!!!
