so get this one... today i was dranging the hose back across the yard to water the greenhouse when i noticed a hole in ground... i was like wtf is that?!?! looked closer and here it's a yellowjacket nest!!!!!! damn, so glad they didn't get me from mowing.. i drove right over that hole a couple times on thursday!!!

We didn’t get a hornets nest this year, but I did find a paper wasps nest in the same hedge this year. It’s about ten feet to the right of where the hornets nest was. It’s deeper into the hedge so we missed it until it got large and too entwined to remove until winter.

Sons tossing out some hospital things he used to make gaming worlds with. He builds miniature environments for the game pieces he prints and then paints them all.

These are the things he has no use for so he asked if I could use any before he tossed them. I bagged them all but it looks like:

Clear tubing
90* bends
Straight connectors
Shutoff pinch valves
Specimen Test tubes

The test tubes i can’t think of any use for. I already have a tray full of them for cannabis seed strains.

I’m wondering if I can use it for some sort of drip feeding setup? But are they too small a diameter or too much trouble to make work?

What do you guys think?

It started with AD&D when he was a teen. I still had hardcover manuals for the game so gave them to him when he got interested with his friends. Not long after he returned them as he got the latest sets.

Now it’s a bunch of different games, one or two are fund me types. War seems to be the main theme. This is the box of one of them.

His work area.


He’s got shelves and shelves of models and kits. Some made, some still waiting. He also gave a lot away to friends. One friend has a father that was his teacher at school. He painted a bunch of figures for him and then returned them. Took a while as he’s a perfectionist in this respect. These are two I believe are for his game.



This is just stuff he’s not packed away yet. Most boxes have the game pieces and landscape items stored.

It is bigger than my head but it’s too deep inside the hedge for me to see the full size.

They die off when it gets cold. The new queen is already gone by then. Hiding somewhere to start again in spring.

They haven’t bothered us so we’ve left them alone. But if I see a nest is getting started I’ll try to knock it down/off asap. Sometimes you have to wait for a heavy rain or at night when you can hit and run.

Ya they tend to stay in the nest at night. But if attacked they come out pretty quick for sure. A real downpour is better as it knocks them down.

My uncle had a smoker/smudge pot. Like a tea pot you can blow smoke out of the spout. We used it at the cottage a few times. I remember knocking them off a branch and tossing the nest into a bucket of water.

If they started building behind one of the storm shutters you might find a bat or three hiding there as well during the day. I thought they were cool but my sisters and uncle wanted nothing to do with them.

Haha.how are they today after their swimming lessons .did it knock ‘em back abit..I had a nest here while back and hit them with some wasp spray that can squirt from 6 metres away.i had to watch out for incoming as wasn’t quite on dark to hit them while they were all down in there..they are nasty little fuckers.one hit my arm while driving and I said to my bro ,fuck ..something hit me hard on my arm out the window..nxt minute owww oow oww .the little fuck landed in my hoodie and starting biting me on the back of the neck.my bro looking at me like wtf is wrong with you flapping your arm all over the place hitting yourself .had to rip the hoodie off to find the fucker

we've been having rain like no other this summer and that two minute shower was nothing compared to most of the storms we've been getting... hey, if ya build your house underground then you're gonna get some water!!! dumb ass'!!! hahahaha

not even sure how to go about it... might shovel it out a little on one these colder nights.. usually they don't go too deep. if i don't hit any rocks and can scoop it out fairly smooth i might give it a try.

us either man, no hornets for two years now... they're the only ones that hate me.. everything else co exists with me here but those hornets just invade and declare war on me,, they always lose!!!

i made a 16 plant drip setup with stuff just like that... printed my own halos and used those similar external pinches to regulate...

always use a decoy light!!!!! works every time!! set up a bright light from one side and come in like a ninja from the other... they have no idea what happens!!!!!

i learned this the hard way by going at one at night with a headlight on and learned they sting your face going after the light....

indoor/outdoor update....

veggers are doing just fine.. no complaints on the new setup.. ph still drifts but fuck it, it doesn' seem to really affect them negatively. maybe slows em down a notch but these aren't for a race, this is built for low n slow growin!!



gonna have to pick two of these tree to move into the scrog side.. gonna be a tough pick, all three look the same to me.



the older two look good yet,

tropicana cherry... i topped her this week to make for better clones,, her roots look like an old man beard!! she also picked up a new set of blades so i guess she likes it..







freak is growing slow as expected.. her soil in the roota are almost all grown out now and the enzymes are doing their thing eating all the material away that i didn't want to risk picking out and causing damage.




got some other new kids on the block as well... more on these later...



i have three outdoor plants that i put outside that didn't make my last soil run... two are looking good and one is just a tard...

i think this tall one is a skunk kush... she's taller than me..
