Shakin' off the rust

Ladies seem to have taken the transplant well, I didn't see any signs of slowing down really. Likely growing more roots than foliage still, but they're noticably bigger 5 days after transplant. They greened up a bit too from the food.
Looking good so far. Gonna feed them again today for the first time since re-potting. I gave a 0.7ec dose last time, today I'll try 1ec just around the outer edge of the pots and see how they take it.

planting day 5 days ago left to right is cheese, lemon pie, ultra mass, ultra mass.

2 more about ready for transplant. Cheese left, lemon pie right. Hanging with the hydrangea. These ones have been raised outdoors since their first true leaves came out, and theyve been given food. Getting a better start than the first lot.20240516_104304.jpg

1 more each of cheese and Ultra mass just broke ground. 20240516_104411.jpg

Well, our weather has been the shits. Daytime temps barely breaking 15c, overnight lows of 6-7c. Raining almost everyday, heavy at times. Barely any sun.

You can tell. The plants are stretching out and the pots are staying too saturated. But, looking mostly healthy otherwise besides a couple curled leaves from the soil ph no doubt going out of whack.

One thing is for sure, not a single bird or mouse has fucked with them.Screenshot_20240603-132325_Gallery.jpg

One more cheese and 2 more ultra mass about ready to get their big girl pants on.Screenshot_20240603-132404_Gallery.jpg

Its been no better out here, a few 1/2 sunny days but then the clouds. I'm out there Aug 8-12...no chance to get to the island...too bad to as I have a dying friend near Nanaimo I'd like to see before he passes if he makes it that long. Just a quick trip non stop both ways at good times for me.

Moved some of the ladies to a new spot, way more sun over here, like 14 hrs of direct sun. Should help to get things moving along.
Feels weird just letting them grow naturally. Still feeding quite light, 0.8ec at ph 6.2.20240609_154433.jpg

The cheese is probably the standout at the moment. Looks decent.20240609_154101.jpg

At the risk of praising a product only to have it crap out days later as sometimes happens, gotta say, I'm surprised these Bluelabs are still kickin. Had this pair for shit, probably close to 8 or 9 years now and they still work great. I did soak the ph probe in kcl storage solution for a couple days to refresh it, and I hit the ppm electrodes with a gentle scrub using a wet paper towel and ceramabrite glass stovetop cleaner. But they both still read fast and accurate. Crazy honestly. They've both been sitting in a box in storage the last 2 or 3 years.20240609_170142.jpg

Again, the cheese looks like the standout among these youngins. Buddy I got them from said they were his favourite of the bunch, and the tastiest. Fingers crossed. These ones get a bit better weather to start out with.

The newer generation is looking nice, better weather for them for sure.20240626_093629.jpg20240626_093633.jpg

Plants are under cover, rain forecast for the next couple days. 20240626_094239.jpg

Starting to get some bud development on the cheese and lemon pie.

Cheese. Can you spot the little prick leafhopper?20240626_093740.jpg20240626_093730.jpg

Any thoughts on defoliating autoflowers? I'm not looking to Schwazz or anything but I'd really like to thin this cheese plant out a bit. Don't wanna fuck it up tho.

I would leave the top 4 or 5 big fans on the main stem on and take all the big fans down below that off. Just don't go too crazy autos are sensitive shits.

I think I'll probably just let them rip on autopilot and see what happens. I have a couple multiples so might try a defol of one plant just to see what it does. But they're still stretching and growing like crazy, I don't really want to get in their way and fuck it up. I think even though that cheese is super bushy now, as the stems stretch out it should breathe a bit better and not look so congested. The thing is fucking dense with foliage and bud sites.

One thing I really like about these autos is the damn stalks are crazy sturdy. Doubt I'll need to stake them, they're stiffer than a hangover boner.

2nd thing I really like about these autos, fucking flowering in June lol... bizarre dude.

Holy shit… look what the cat dragged in.

Good to see you growing again man
Good to be growing again man! Even if it is this outdoor auto stuff haha. Whatever. Priorities have changed over the years, it's a just for fun grow now.
Though I have to say, some of the plants are looking pretty feckin noice for tiny little ladies.
