I’ve heard it’s happened, it’s caused by a weak spot in the metal or a bullet that has been loaded too many times. Never happened to me. As for me, there was nothing off about the feel or sound. But my sighter/scorer saw the trace.

Here you can’t cut a tree bigger than 19” wide iirc. Even if dead you’re supposed to call to have it checked. Does your area have a bylaw like that? Nice to get him fined while you see if you’ve suffered any emotional damage.

I emailed the local lawyer, with no reply as yet. I might break down and call him. Their web page says a fast reply 24-48hrs...times up mfkrs. Its criminal trespass, I've been googling provincial laws Tort law???? but I read a case that set a precedent I guess. Pretty much you have to get out there and stop him. Video him with your phone. Tell him you’re calling the cops to get him charged with trespassing.
If you have access to a WiFi trail cam or a camera you can put in a window that helps. Depends on the asshole.
Hardest part is not dealing with it yourself. At least in the country you can get away with the three S’s.

Scrogging is the answer. At this point though you may just have to run with nets. What is the height of your plants and the maximum height in your grow space?

I spoke to a secretary at teh lawyers office and she didn't sound to keen on me seeing a lawyer and suggested small claims court, I said okay can I have a consultation and gets some tips help on doing that, How do I asses damages? She said she'd see if one of the lawyers will look at it for me....how fking generous...isn't that what they do? too small for their firm. I'll have to look around but I've dealt with these guys in the past I thought they'd at least give me a call back after an inquiry with an explanation of what I'm looking for....

I see what you are saying, but this was not a small claims court, it was a theft case. He was happy to write that check the day of court.
