Yup just let em go and see. I never tried oatmeal but other than the ability to hold as much moisture and be more compact would think it should work well if you can keep it from being to tight together in a jar. Using less in a jar would probably help with thatNo-mist so far
9 fuzzy white spots
This is cool lol
Was the oatmeal fully colonized?
Ahh ok, my bad didn't see this bit.You always want to wait until it is because that will give the best chance to not contam and colonize faster.
The media can dry out so thats another concern of waiting to long. A super fine mist will likely be needed to keep the media moist if the colonization time is long
The KSSS? Super aggressive. I found the same with it. Hell a grain transfer in 1qt jars would be fully colonized in a weekThat hyphae is growing fast.
It was shorter a few hours ago.

Idk if there is a strain that more well suited to what you did its KSSSi started it all together like that lol.
i just said fuck it, took a tote cleaned it out, dumped some coco and the oatmeal, mixed it up and then sprayed till maybe near capacity.
sides are showing condensation so RH must be 85+ in the MiniTote.
this is was 3 days ago if that. feels like 2.
see what yall mean by KSSS is aggressive lol.
i wouldnt be suprised if it ends up contam, though.
Haha sweet.Idk if there is a strain that more well suited to what you did its KSSS
Yea was wondering if it would be bad to mist the hyphae. When you mist do bot spray directly at the media. You want the lightest mist possible and let it fall into the media…
Like when I start to try and fruit if I make it that far?do not soray after pins as they will abort
You will need agar to clone and isolate imo. You can do it without but contam is far more of a riskHaha sweet.
I'm going to try to keep it going.
As I learn the mycology "cloning" side.
I think you may. Hell i had a pan cyan isolate that used to kill trich and just run iver it… the fastest wispy mycelium i ever seen but it would not fruit. I spent probably 6 months working on a strong mycelium for pan cyan spores and in the end the that was what i ended uo with and the bitch wouldn’t fruit lol. Thats when i gave up on themLike when I start to try and fruit if I make it that far?
Is it room temp? Roll it between your hands really fastBeen shaking this one syringe for awhile now, can not get one of the clumps to declump...
Yeah slants maybe a yr or 2? Liquid culture syringe a few months agar also a few monthsHow long could you "store" the mycellium?
Till it's food source is out?
Dries out?
Anytime broSweet, good tip, this one is just being very stubborn.
Ty bro
But that wouldn’t work as well with the pun. They are A+ not APE bro
Ot bad so far bro… I usually use a paper thin casing layer. That keeps the grain or in your case oatmeal from drying outHehehe
I was thinking about doing that, but I wasn't sure about casing over the mycellium already growing.Ot bad so far bro… I usually use a paper thin casing layer. That keeps the grain or in your case oatmeal from drying out
