this reminds me of when i was with some new friends who invited me to play pool and i tell them i'm no good, and they say neither are we. then we get to the pool hall and two of the group break out their personal sticks from pool shark hustler cases lmao!Pool shark if I ever saw one........
Who's cue you using? My ex bought me a Lucasi with an aluminum case. Loved that cue.
I was by no means a shark but I got good at $20 trick shots on bar size tables. My aim was never to shark them but if they were willing to finance the evenings drinking I was happy!this reminds me of when i was with some new friends who invited me to play pool and i tell them i'm no good, and they say neither are we. then we get to the pool hall and two of the group break out their personal sticks from pool shark hustler cases lmao!
i couldn't wait to lose the game and stop embarrassing myself and focus more on drinking lol
we are probably all still friends now because they didn't try to hustle my ass when i barely knew them! i just remembered i was fucked up and forgot to pay my bill and got a call from one of them about the bartender looking for me to close my tab. it wasn't even $50, it was just a pure accident of alcohol and tucking my tail between my legs lolI was by no means a shark but I got good at $20 trick shots on bar size tables. That happened to me in Vegas at the Crazy Horse 2. I got pretty trashed and forgot to close out the tab. Tab was $650 so they made sure I didn't leave and got me before I got in the return limo. thankfully i just made it to my car so i went back in and closed the tab, only skated on a check on purpose once
pro-tips/life lessons hahaha dammit where were you when i was 21 and still frequented those kind of joints? That happened to me in Vegas at the Crazy Horse 2. When I go to a strip club the first thing I do is scan the room for the waitress with the most hustle. I'll call her over and give her my card to open a tab. I'll also ask her to send over 2 or 3 of the hottest dancers on the floor. When they come over I'll buy them all drinks and get the party going. Usually the other dancers in the club will notice that I'm buying drinks and will drift over. I buy them drinks also and before you know it the whole club is sitting around your table with the hottest 2 or 3 girls sitting in your lap trying to get you into the VIP! By that time all the other suckers in the room will come over and commence buying drinks trying to impress the girls!
At the Crazy Horse. Where were you?pro-tips/life lessons hahaha dammit where were you when i was 21 and still frequented those kind of joints?
typically i started at the alaskan bush company in downtown phoenix and ended up at diamonds somewhere between phoenix and avondale on van burenAt the Crazy Horse. Where were you?
I did better when I had a wingman to handle the cattle call.
hah naw but there are some out there that is for sure. Guy from NM was at the hall I was at on Sunday looking for $200 a game and said he was rated a 460 fargo. I am a 553 for reference. Pros like Shane Van Boeing are 840ish. My brother is 625 and just won $9650 Sunday for getting 2nd in a different tourney that was a $1000 entry. So anyway this guy says he is 460(which is beginner level-ish) but wants to play "anyone" for $200 a game. People start chattering and before you know it Jose, a well known very good player around here shows up and they start playing. I don't know the exacts but safe to say Jose get his ass handed to him. He was hustled by a shark.Pool shark if I ever saw one........
The cue I'm using I have only been shooting with for about a month. I have been shooting with Predator cues since about 2001 but a teammate was basically giving his cue away and sold me Cuetec Avid with an extra shaft for $400. He pretty much gave me $300 as I am just going to sell the 2nd shaft for $300 plus. It has the one of the 3 best carbon fiber shafts on the market and so far so good. Hard to control shots like a masse but they are super low deflection and very forgiving. I had a Lucasi a few moons back. They make some quality sticks and some go for G+. I like to play pool but I just signed up for 4 months of playing on Wednesday night league and I alread play Mondays. Started last week and I already regret it. Brutal and realized quick why I quit doing that a decade ago lol but my head is either super hard or filled with too much thc, or a lot of bothWho's cue you using? I haven't been but live in those woods. You live in AZ still? My roommate in college was a bouncer at Bourbon St. I legit grew the Black Valium last grow because it had "G13" in it because back when I lived with that roommate Jamie, he dated a stripper, sorry dancer/entertainer that worked there and she would sell me 4 finger bags of "trim" that glowed green, said was a quarter, weighed just over an 1/8th, looked like an oz, and had a sticker inside that said "G-13" lmao. I though it was government weed because of the G but man that shit was firetypically i started at the alaskan bush company in downtown phoenix and ended up at diamonds somewhere between phoenix and avondale on van buren
didn't know if i should laugh react or love react. gotta watch anyone from NM. us burquenos are sneaky fucks and only let on what we want to. hence my signature, although you'd be hard pressed to find many new mexicans that even know who the author was.hah naw but there are some out there that is for sure. nah, it's been nearly 15 years since I called Phoenix home. I miss that city but you won't catch me back in the desert any time soon. have my own little slice of heaven in the PNW now where you can walk on asphalt and not track it inside with you during the day. AZ is a hell of a beautiful and diverse state, though.I haven't been but live in those woods. You live in AZ still? We will find some gems to help. Speakin of one where is @TSD at? Anyone know how to reach off-site to ensure she aight? Her neck of the woods is no walk in the park. Straight Lions and Tigers and Bears oh mySoooo, I see a lot going on on the corner today! Everything from hot rod camo car mice, pool master signing a nice check, to a couple of play by plays at the strip club!
We need more women in here! Lady weed growers wherever you are…helpppppppp!
Word word. Would have been nice to meet ya. Yeah I was here back 15 years ago when lived here from 92-03 and it was clean af like you saw. Change now is a lot more people but all in all still real beautiful state. Summers suck to high hell but your reward is the other 8 months. I live in Scottsdale but PHX is just 10 min away. I play pool wednesdays at Bullshooters on Peoria/35th ave. Now THAT is a dirty area unfortunately. Much of PHX is being swarmed by panhandlers. I went off on a lady with a dog in 110 heat last week. I said why don't you walk without shoes across the street if he has to. She said it isn't that hot I said then show me. She takes off her flip-flops and hot steps on the pavement, that was minimum 150+ and couldn't handle it, ran into the shade for her flip flops and continued to argue. Told her she should be ashamed and she is hurting her dog and to give to me if couldn't care for it. She wasn't happy to say the least lmao My pavement got to 175 this year and that wasn't even the hottest part of the summer. That day my artificial grass measured 205. There were people out here this summer who fell over and burned themselves and had to go to hospital lmfao not funny but funny how stupid hot it gets.nah, it's been nearly 15 years since I called Phoenix home. And PHX... damn, such a pretty and clean city. Lived in a lot of cities in my short 35 years on this rock and that one is bar none the cleanest I've called home. Dunno how they do it with how grimey it is culturally but dammit, the highways and most surface streets are cleeeeeaaaannnnn.
We are all worried about TSD. I have an email addy on her and plan on dropping her a message when I get back from pow wow. Thinking she may have just needed a break, I have waited a bit to contact her. My entry level detective work if correct tells me she is not dead nor in jail. I just hope she is okay.We will find some gems to help. Speakin of one where is @TSD at? Anyone know how to reach off-site to ensure she aight? Her neck of the woods is no walk in the park. i was seeing the headlines about people falling and burning themselves. it's gotten worse than when i was there. somewhere around 2008-2010 if my memory is right? was a student at UTI in avondale. stomped all over west gate, scottsdale, mill ave, you know -- the hot spots for the young and horny. did a lot of bounce house deliveries in scottsdale... some of those houses i went to man. in fact, the last non-speeding ticket i got was out there by the broken arrow casino (i think that's the one). fuckin employer refused to rewire the trailers and i was driving back to the shop with no taillights.Word word. I left in 03 for Denver till 08. Heat hasn't let up that's for sure. Broke record noone wanted to break and had hottest July on record and had 31 days over 110 loli was seeing the headlines about people falling and burning themselves. it's gotten worse than when i was there. somewhere around 2008-2010 if my memory is right? was a student at UTI in avondale. stomped all over west gate, scottsdale, mill ave, you know -- the hot spots for the young and horny. did a lot of bounce house deliveries in scottsdale... some of those houses i went to man. in fact, the last non-speeding ticket i got was out there by the broken arrow casino (i think that's the one). fuckin employer refused to rewire the trailers and i was driving back to the shop with no taillights.
Cali. Yeah we got peeps from Flag that come here when too cold there and go there when too hot here but in the last 3 years, Cali invaded us like whoa. At least with housing. Pushed prices up to place I have only last seen during last collapse. Rates over 7% now and for 1st time in history last month, over 50% of buyers were FIRST TIME home-buyers. I bought this house 4 years ago for $350 and I could walk on a cash offer over 650 tomorrow. That is complete rubbish. This house is 35+ years old and worse than when we bought it not better lol $75k increase per year pfft.not a surprise about the panhandlers either. with cities like portland and seattle getting beyond fed up and pushing them out without offending the bleeding hearts, they're gonna end up places dry and warm. especially this time of year, as we start to return to our normal soaking wet state.
Right? It is a good one especially if ever been in the food industry and/or if fan of Chicago. I like how high-stress it is constantly. It has a way of making me feel better that I don't have that stress lolSo im half way through the series 'The Bear' on Hulu, and i just gotta say this is prolly the best series on Hulu right now.

yeah... it was something special back then. i remember UTI telling us watch our shit with the ASU girls because we were only 5k strong and donated 3x usable blood simply because the blood tested clean of STDs. ASU was a party spot for sure. And those girls.. mmmmm. To be young again.I left in 03 for Denver till 08. Heat hasn't let up that's for sure. Broke record noone wanted to break and had hottest July on record and had 31 days over 110 lol
oO mill ave eh? Man back in late 90s I worked at Club 411 on Mill. Shit went off back then. Tempe was such a beautiful town and ASU was a wicked awesome college at the time. Now it looks like China down there. High-rises everywhere and tuition is now $32k for BASE shit, no food, housing, nada. When I went there, after going to MCC for 1 year so could be claimed as resident at ASU, tuition was $950 a semester. Something has to give and I spy commerical real-estate and banking failures will be the 1st dominoes to fall. Bankruptcies just hit levels only seen during "the thing" and before that was 07-08 financial collapse. Hah I actually moved from AZ to CO to help go build a new Alt-A division of AmeriquestAmeriWorst. I watched "The Big Short" the other night just so I could keep it right in front of me, what can happen and how fast.
