Morning ya Menz,
How goes the war? I would be asking myself, which one? What a clusterfeck this world has become.
Why I enjoy you all so much. All in on a good smoke a good cup of coffee and a giggle.
Well hello @Cool_Beans! Long time no see, welcome back to the Corner!
@MDK I really do drink the cheap coffee. I have found a brand that costs half of the typical Folgers and maxwell house, and tastes a lot better. It’s more than likely available in your area too. It’s Best Choice and it comes in all kinds of blends.
@Zen_seeker hows the honey? It looks super strong! 🐝
@steamroller Morning ya ole softie!
@Rootsruler hope all is well with the hand progress! You are kinda quiet this morning.
@GoodShit97 Morninnnnnn! What’s new with you today and how is the wee one doing?
Record breaking heat here today, I’ll take it! An unbelievable 72* on the front porch early morning this morning. Back to using the ac to keep my grow room cooled, running three lights at a hundred percent. We be in flower!
Wishing you all a fantastic day today. I’m off to the city to see a specialist today, I think I could live without it.. I’ll suffer through the visit just to get to eat out and not cook tonight lol.

Mornin CG!!
Im currently waiting for my father in law to get here. He just crossed the NYS line into Hoosik so hell be here in about an hour and a half. Then we gotta run to lowes because they cant seem to deliver all of an order at once so i gotta go get the rest of my shed floor, im not waiting another 2 days for them to deliver it. Then i gotta argue to get the delivery fee back since they only delivered half of it....

Little man is doing much better but now i think its his mothers turn to get sick, yay! 😕
I also have like 700 pounds of rock i gotta move today too before i start framing my shed tomorrow. Gonna be sore this weekend 🙃

GF keeps buying the Starbucks bags at Sam's. Is there a better offering?
They should have Peet's brand, which is good. I just started getting into buying my own coffee beans myself, but I can vouch for the Peet's.

I am still loving this one I got at Costco.

Morning Granny!!

We have a nice warm day here as well. Got off to a great start this morning. Picked another mushroom flush this morning, and the place stinks to high heaven with the flowering going on, even with venting outside lol, sure looks good though

Going to be an early Christmas harvest 😁

Sorry to hear that about the wife! Glad to hear the little one is doing better,
Looking forward to seeing your “he shed” up. Ya gonna heat that thing? If so, how? I’m up town, mine has heat and air! Originally a place I could work on my stained glass is now community smoke shack and a cat house. You know, the four legged kind, just to be specific 😂

Hand is doing well. I just had a 4 week Doc check and he said he was relieved to see the progress I was making. On my first visit he wanted me immobile in the sling for 6 weeks to make sure the sutures healed up and I didn't retear them. I told him I heal pretty fast. He felt 6 weeks because of my age. Doc knows best. Fast forward to the day he took me out of the sling and he mentions that he should have had me out of it in 4. They never listen.🙄

I've had 4 rehab sessions and on this last visit I could see the relief on the Docs face. He said that I was at around 80% - 85% and that the rest of rehab should be about fine motor, scar tissue remediation and regaining strength. He rescheduled another doc check for 3 months.

Of course I want this healed yesterday but he said it would take at least a few months before the hand started to feel normal again. The 2 months the therapy mommas told me was for initial motor and range but fine motor and strength will take longer. Right now I can do most everything and have been noodling around on my guitar using it as a gauge to my old dexterity and range. Not 100% but I can play a few songs now that I couldn't a month ago.

Maybe once my hand is further along I'll write a song called " On CG's Corner"!!!😁

I’m interested in your shroom room! Yeah my ladies be making their presence known too. Apparently it can be smelled even outside my house as one of the roofers told my husband that his wife’s potpourri sure smelt nice.
I ask the Hubby how the roofer knew it was mine and not his and the Hubby is like , duh, ya were carrying out bags of dirt and mixing soil. Lol

Glad to hear this! Sounds like with time you will make a full recovery ❤️‍🩹
You are right about they never listen! I’m to the point that I question everything and my Docs have just got used to it. I feel like if they can’t answer my questions, listen and accept that we know our bodies, then I’ll go elsewhere.
Seems that white coat and authority is too easily accepted among the majority of us.
I just read an article yesterday that made my mouth fall open. The gist of it was that Alzheimer’s is a doctor made disease. Claims that the disease is due to a thinning of the padding that encompasses the brain. Amazingly what the padding is, is cholesterol! Statins are causing it!
Get yourself better..we need a Corner Song!

I've followed the research around Alzheimer's for years, and that's exactly what I came to the conclusion of about ten years ago. They don't treat it as something curable because of some of the genetic mysteries that still surround the brain and how the cells actually interact but the gist of the disease is fatty cells interfere with the communication between neurons, then portions of the brain start to die, producing to dementia symptoms. One would think it would be fairly straight forward to treat but ya know how western medicine works -- cured patients aren't paying patients so long-term or intractable diseases are good for getting those repeat customers in the door.

Alzheimer's is one of those diseases that absolutely makes my blood boil just because of the terrible things I've witnessed families experience as a result of the absolute failure our medical system has done in regards to handling it. Treating the symptoms does not work and any drugs that have been produced which have shown significant reversal effects have been completely shut down by the FDA. In fact, if I can dig up this old research whitepaper I read years ago about this particular nootropic a clandestine chemist developed, I'll share it here. Basically this guy, seeking to help a family member, developed this drug that boosted short term memory exponentially with very few negative side effects. This drug showed that while humans can typically recall a series of seven numbers, with this drug humans were able to recall upwards 100. It also showed in brain scans that elasticity was restored in patients with neurodegenerative diseases. The chemist couldn't continue with FDA approval due to a loss of funding and the chemical formula was lost in the 70s when he died, then his daughter recovered it in the early 2000s and supplied it to a university in the midwest iirc.

anyways, enough of story time. i'll see if i can dig up that paper.

Morning...still barely. On standby today father in law fell and hit his head put a pretty good gash in it so wife had to drag him to the hospital. He don't want to go same old story...she's just had enough said your going...and gonna have him transferred to his main hospital further out. Truth is he needs a nurse.

He fell hit his head, skinned his shoulder then my wife said a turd fell out his pant leg so he shit himself. Stuff a daughter just shouldn't have to go through so I sympathize for her there.

Bad scenario they're all in with him. Defiant.

Yeah, I finally got some good ones out of there. I think it's been 4 moderate flushes and it looks like another one might come up. Really wild stuff learning about how they grow.

I find it fascinating that they breathe oxygen like us and put out CO2. Very interesting

I feel like I am still 99% newb in mycology after seeing some of the other operations people are doing. But this is mostly for me and one tub is plenty. Only took 3 tries to get it... 😆

Just checked my grain and it looks like this new one I got, tidal wave, is colonizing just fine! Supposed to be very potent, I think it's a fitting name, as mushrooms def hit you in waves.

I think this is one of the coolest pics of my first flush. The glow on the stems is from where I handled them without gloves.

A cat house you say eh? Best left to the imagination what goes on there....stained glass, nice light cover story you've got there.

Its just for storage but if i have room to hang out in there ill just use a big buddy propane heater.
I just got rid of like 400 sq ft of shit so i should have quite a bit of room lol.
Planning to build an enclosed lean-to off the back to put my snowblower, mower, and garden stuff so i have more actual shed space.

Woohoo! I'm an uncle again!!!

Some extended family through the lady just had their triplets. It's a sketchy moment right now because mama was induced two weeks into the third trimester due to some very touch and go moments during the second trimester, but everyone has what they need to function from a biological standpoint. Everyone's in NICU for the foreseeable future, but mama and babies are healthy. I've been waiting for this -- A, B, and C have arrived and now I get to confuse tf outta everyone about who I'm talking to/about :ROFLMAO:

For sure man. Cops were not happy when it went legal here. Itll be legal across the country soon enough its just a matter of time.
LOL cops are still not happy here in WA. My neighbor, for instance, has some very apparent opinions about mary hoo anna. Dude is the only reason I operate like a boring white person, otherwise I would definitely be setting up for some trees outdoors next year.

My 2x2 scrog has 10 days to stretch or its chopped.
Havent tucked anything since flip and its stretched maybe an inch.
I. Cant. Scrog. Dunno why 🤷🏻
So this will 100% be my last attempt. Done wasting good plants for nothing.
