Are they talking about just a smoking lounge or will they also be cultivating their own product? If they do cultivation are they going to try and brand it? I'm sure they'll be buying outside product also, depending on how big a cultivation project they want to take on, but how deep in the Cannabis biz are they wanting to go? Nutrient Manufacturer? Extraction lab? Vape manufacturer?

The only legal licensing left in Missouri is called microgrows, with a max of sixty plants. Very hard to obtain licensing as it’s done on a lottery type scale.
He does provide our area with all the soils and amendments through a Garden Center, even does a list called Grannies Grows providing everything my method calls for. This is much appreciated as in my area it’s 80 miles one way to any of three towns large enough to provide what we need.

Sadly, a lot of the younger crowd in this area is into meth and illegal prescription drugs. The thing we want to “weed” out.

I see. So they are growers of ornamentals and other stuff and have built a large business out of it.
They tried to do the same type of lottery draw for licenses in L.A. when they were expanding the number of dispensary and cultivation licenses. It turned into the winners being the ones that knew the most people in high places. Even after they had doled out all the licenses the city had allowed some entities to be granted "special permission" and got issued licenses. My suggestion would be for the owners to start attending all of the city council meetings they can and get to know the local government better as that is key to obtaining the licensing they will need to expand in the future although if their business is as big as it seems they probably are already doing that.

Yup! Pretty much what we were doing. We did walk ins but also had a member program they paid a one time fee for so members got discounts on product and room rentals.

Love this idea. When I was managing the lounge I had suggested that we contact a bunch of brands and have them do new product launches at the lounge so that we would get more recognition as supporting the community but....our shit was all illegal so we had to stay on the DL. Scratch that.........CG what an opportunity!!

When I got to a bar (rarely) I prefer “dives” where people look at me and say who’s this guy and gal. The kinda place a man has a stool and everyone knows everyone, ain’t no trouble in places like that, they don’t allow it
Noth’en says it’s gotta be open everyday,you could do a few nights a week, paid membership (keeps trouble away) do classes karaoke, have tv’s and couches. Talk with local dispensary’s have them come out so y’all can sample what they’re selling.
For most just a place to get away with like minded folks.

Hard wood fired pizza is the world standard. NYC peeps should revolt against this revolting development: gimme a wood-fired slice or gimmie death. Here they want to go back to the pre stoner age -- thousands of jobs and opportunities for farmers will be gone. Here in Mo the over the limit on cannabis is a very gray area. Just like there, continuing to serve a drunk person alcohol is a concern. In this case, there will be no serving and Missouri or any other state thus far has any way of proving one is over a lawful limit of cannabis since no lawful limit has been set and there is no equipment to definatively prove that.
The only thing one can buy in this place will be the mixers for the bottle they brought or some chicken wings. More like a clubhouse atmosphere where you are free to partake, enjoy some entertainment and buy some munchies.
