Grump's Kitchen Sink Grow 🌱

What do you have on hand for genetics man?
Any Redbeards or something known to be stable

Avoid the GPS stuff for a minute if you wanna try and nail down whats causing this.
Some of those gps beans grow wonky af sometimes. Ive had a few but I never took em to flower, killed them beforehand.

If all those before were GPS then it still could be genetics. ;idk
One GPS tester pack. One Humboldt Phenohunter pack, basically testers. And one pack of Guzzlers, I think Humboldt as well. The Guzzlers grow had one freak that never decided to build nugs and three other plants that did well besides being two different phenos.

I would start your 4 clones in your system with the exact same formula you have them in now.
If you are going down to one grow space maybe even move the SF light with them.
Take that last thought with a grain of salt though.
They're getting my usual veg nutes and they'll get that for a week or so in the big tent before I switch to my usual flower ratios. I'll keep my ppms down a bit this run, although they've thrived on the 400 ppm since they sprouted roots.

Hard pass on the SF light. It's surely not my CLW. I'm running the recommended spectrum there and several people here love their CLW.

I've got some Redbeards, some Anesia and various strains from B2, some Grower's Choice, Heisens, and these Cannarado.

Tons of GPS. Hopefully with a few clones runs basically ran perpetually, using my new mother tent and clone setup, I'll have a stockpile of buds and cloning a freak won't ruin an entire harvest.

This next run will be clones from a very healthy Indigo Sapphire that's a Anesia strain, I believe. My Mother-plant thread is documenting that.

It's all chopped and hung. Took 3 of us 7 hours...
There were some nugs that you couldn't tell where they began and ended. Like a starfish 🤣

I'll get some pics after it all dries.

Smoked another tester nug that I sat out yesterday morning. Damn good. Super smooth and burned a fat doob really well.

Ugly nugs but it's fire 🔥

I pulled another nug and set it out to smoke when I get up this afternoon. I'm thinking bag and tag tomorrow sometime. Start the cure.

4 and a half days later, it's all in the Grove bags.

18oz 12g

My best haul so far. 👍
It's been fun, but it's time to clean up this mess and get the clones in here.

I'll report back in a couple weeks with a smoke report.

Hell yea.

(Whatever the fuck those things are called) full of bud, lol

Welp I probably just pissed off the wife...

I was dinkin' around looking at the Cannatrol website and I see they offer Affirm payments. Further investigation to see what kind of plans were offered took me to Affirms website...

...now with PayPal orders, it will most often take you back to the seller's page before finalizing your payments...

...not this time. Looks like I pre-ordered the new Cool Cure C for 120 bucks a month. Kinda wanna say oops, but I'll wait for my wife's reaction. It was an accident, I swear!

I always hold out till delivery if it is a purchase ' of question'. ;thup
I have good luck with the wife being out when the delivery happens so no need for drama or negotiating.
;slap
It really is a tool of convenience. While I prefer to dry in the room when individual plants are ready before others it is great thing.
I think I saw the new ones do not have glass in the door anymore?

The convenience is what I'm after. That and to free up the tent during the dry so I can chop and transplant much quicker. I dried in my tent and still haven't cleaned and reassembled the system because time got away from me. If I could just drain and run bleach for a day, the clones can hop right over.

Yeah.. no glass door, controls in the door instead of the stand-off unit, front water access tray, all food grade with stainless shelving, better airflow and cooler temps.

They don't ship out until January, so it's a pre-order, but pre-orders are going for 1200. Not sure what they'll get marked up to after January.

It's only for the next 12~ months lol

I've used Affirm to buy and pay off 2-3 high end items for my grow room. Usually something that's $500 or more, I'll look at 6 month payment options.
$500 usually turns into around $550 after interest and I'm not sure if credit rating adjusts it as I think it's a fixed rate for everybody depending on length of time on the loan. Less time to pay off = less interest so I look for those 6 month options.
Affirm is probably the best next to Paypal zero interest 4 payment option. Sezzle is the one to avoid IMO. Every time I've looked at sezzle the options on interest and payment were downright criminal! Gotta watch out for that predatory lending scam with those fucks.

Cannatrol has been on my radar as well but the freeze dryer won out in the major weed purchase for 2025 category. Went on my costco card so I could get $150 cash back on it lol.

I've used Affirm a few times with success. It's usually been for something I can't live without, like a new CLW.

I've also had my Affirm account hacked before started using 2FA. The customer service was helpful and got the charges removed.

I've wanted one since I first heard of them. Set and forget is my style. I'm not after perfect. I'm after easy and consistent. I'm sure I could fine tune the settings to get what I want out of it. They're saying that they'll have a taller version coming in Q3 of 26.

@steamroller.. They advertise 2.2 pounds wet. Did you find that accurate? Do they include enough shelves to accomplish that? I might've added some accessories had I known I was finalizing the order 🤣

Wife took the news well. I convinced her that we could sell 6 zips from this harvest and have it paid off before a payment is due. That would still leave us over 12 ounces to last us the 10-12 weeks it'll take before my next harvest. I think we could manage that. This perpetual stuff is really gonna pay off once I'm stacking harvests in storage.

being able to manufacture/produce ur self is a scale of difference, in one perspective, your either a (consumer or a producer) (i dont mean this to you directly, just generally)

you could easily add 2 more zones and potentially 4x~ your production with the right genetics and growth techniques, if you needed it or wanted it, and the maintenance would be similar compared to the ratio of output.
maximizing quality and input vs/ > output. efficiency, quality, cost effective. etc. my motto. ie.

have you thought about experimenting with HPA or Fog? i know your busy, but curious if you thought about it.

No sir. I'm pretty comfortable in my RDWC lane. It's easy enough and pretty hands-off.

I don't ever plan to do much more than keep ourselves supplied. This is my first harvest over a pound and will be my first grow getting rooted clones straight into the system. Things are going to start stacking up for me, especially with the Cannatrol providing a new/seperate dry space.

I couldn't reasonably add any more work to my schedule.

sweet.

you can really pump out ur needs with your current system, that cannatrol offering a seperate dry space is primo. lol.

its just such a different scale compared to buying your smoke.

also enables you to cure crops longer for a even better craft-quality smoke.

all the dispos in my area offer the same "top shelf" quality.

IT IS NOT craft or top shelf quality in my opinion.

the commercial standard is quickness, harvest plants, dry in 7-15 days. run through machine trimmers....."cure" non-existent.......that is not TOP shelf IMO.....
it is physically shaving the beautifulness (the hairs),rockhard nugs with no personality...due to too much silica and machine trims.....the trichome heads off.....the beautfiul orange/red "hairs"/pistols fall off......

Yeah man.. if I can get to where we no longer buy bud, I'll be happy. We get pretty cheap bags from Michigan, but my bud is better, especially this time around. With a 2 day cure, I'm getting smoother and better tasting rips than any of my previous grows. I'm right there. Harvesting all 4 plants made a big difference in quantity, obviously, so my clone runs will have me headed in the right direction.

I'm confident that, with my current setup, a 2lb harvest is in my near future. 3lbs achievable with CO2 supplementation.

The 1lb barrier was broken with some of the crappiest nugs I've harvested. If I had 4 plants of full and fat nuggets, this would've been a gangbuster harvest. That's what I'm hoping for on this next run.

I'll get the clones in here and veg them long enough to get them healthy again. I think i'm having pH issues in the Mother Tent. I haven't been monitoring that water at all after mixing. They've got a great root system so I'm sure they'll bounce back in no time with a controlled resevoir.

Yea you should be able to fit two lbs.
Mine came with 5 or 6 shelfs filling every other slot I think.
