What's up everyone, my name is Troy and I've been trying to grow for about 7 years. I'm taking a break from growing to learn more and simplify my efforts, but plan on popping seeds and trying an outdoor autoflower grow this year.

I vape dry herb and dab often. I collect vapes and old weber charcoal grills :)

Simplify would be a great idea when it comes to autoflowers from what I've gathered. Most don't like to be messed with too much or fed very aggressively.

Weber grills are the shit btw, welcome

Welcome to Bud Builders~!
Why autos?
Do you cook on the old Webers?

Personally I prefer photoperiods, but I have a bunch of autoflower seeds and I figured some casual outdoor runs wouldn't stress me out :)
I've never grown outdoor though. My house has some great sunny spaces for plants, I'm hoping it can be an easy grow.

I do cook on the old webers! Although most of my cooks are on a newer model... at one point i had over 30 charcoal grills in my backyard.
Weed and Webers are my passion

I had been against autos simply because I could never grow them well.
That all changed this past grow with a plant that turned out to be an auto that my daughter bought as a photo.
This little plant was awesome, nice structure for a little plant (my fault), really dense buds and potent as all get out.
Sleep medicine it is! Platinum GSC, within 30 minutes of a toke, I'm snoring! Sleeping and really buzzed.

Nice on knowing you should prefer photos IMO.
Will they be in pots outdoors or in ground.
You will have so little control compared to photos you need to set yourself up for a nice ride.
We got a couple good auto growers here for help.
I grew autos in a greenhouse outdoors a couple of years ago. They got BIG ~!

For outdoors? You will find many photos won't mature in a Michigan summer and auto-flowers have improved to the point that there's many very potent choices from a number of different breeders ... if you're in a short summer area, autos really are the way to go outdoors. Otherwise, I concur ... photoperiod plants would be a better choice.

@thisguyvapes - Welcome to Bud Builders. You said in your introduction that you've been trying to grow for about 7 years. What problems have you had? What cultivars did you grow?

Auto-flower plants don't always mean "easy" to grow. They have a reputation for being quite picky. They do have their place in the industry (short summer grows), but in my eyes ... if you have a long enough summer where night time temps remain decent for 8-10 weeks after the first of August, grow photoperiod plants. They are usually much more forgiving to grower mistakes.

Welcome TGV!
Yeah you're at home if you're into outdoor cooking for sure!
So tell me...Beans or no beans in your chili?

And BTW...My new bong is hanging out your way in the Bay Area.
At first I thought maybe it's hanging out around Haight /Ashbury but now I suppose it's across the Bay on Telegraph Ave. Been there for 5 days now.
It was supposed to land here in Texas but completely overshot the mark. So if you happen to see it hanging around, kindly ask it to get on home here, please? Thanks Buddy!
