Pipecarver with a Spiderfarmer G3000 over Auto Pots in a 3x3

These are more like my grandfather’s. Never used one. To young then. Always wondered if I would break the mouth piece.

Thanks, I had a large piece of walnut and thought I'd try something new. I'm not sure what I'll carve up today, I still have some Bubinga and Blood wood to work with. I cut my remaining Canary wood into 3 = pieces too small for a pipe without a mouth piece before I realized I didn't have any mouth pieces left. oops. I hope to get my 2 pieces of Briar this week. I'm anxious to work with it, If I like I may get more.

I made 1 pipe out of Bubinga again, I liked what I made yesterday with Walnut so I made a similar piece with BubingaBubinga wood block.JPGroughLBubinga.JPGLBubingaA.JPG

Ya I like them larger too, less wood to grind away as well. I tried for a whale I got a sperm....lol It shined up nice the Blood wood is about as hard of a wood as I can work with and its given a 12.1 on the Janka hardwood scale and its the same as the Olive wood I've ordered so its good to know I can work it.

I received my 2 pieces of Briar wood7babies.JPGBloodwoodL.JPG today and they are pretty small, I'll be able to make 2 small pipes & both will need acrylic stems unless I can fiddle up something else.

My 7 babies are doing well for 2 weeks above ground. I'm waiting for some Myco's before I transplant, it should be here this week.

I see ones in a double cup. Any reason or just how it worked out?

I double cup all the young ones. I like to ensure the roots are doing well. And we get so many clear cups from Tim’s I had to do something with them before recycling. Great for giving away to new growers too. 😝

No real reason I've a hundred cups here and when I went to plant a clear one was in the stack so I used it. I figure they'll all grow similarly and I can check the root progress this way so I double cupped.

Well yesterday was a waste of time, I had a nice pipe going out of Blood wood until I was sanding with 320 grit and I saw a black spot.....Hmmmm is that a part of the grain as it got bigger and bigger? Nope I sanded through to my breathing hole,,,,,awe fk not again, there goes a nice hunk of wood...lol.

I had to get the car worked onto day so no pipes today either but on returning from the Garage my new pipe stems are here so I can work on my 2 pieces of Briar tomorrow.

My order of Myco's came in today as well so I can up transplant my babies, Oh how they grow up so fast, just 3 weeks ago they were just tiny little seeds and now they have little wings and they look so cute all huddled together waving high as I open the curtain door & all ready for their new homes.

I can already see what looks like stunting on 1 girl, when the top leaves don't develop as quickly as they should and stay small for a day or 2 they need transplanting, they would continue to grow in the solo cups but they'll jump once transplanted into a larger pot and I give them their first feed.

No, I only start with it week 3 of flower. When I've used it in the past it locked up my plants, the advice was that I have enough Cal in my well water and to use epsom salts for Mag if I need it. I don't need until flowering as the chart says and I'm following it.

Yeah! That is crazy!

Aren't autos self flowering meaning no photo signalling needed to induce flowering? If this is so how were you able to get them as big as they are without their genetics kicking in? Are these an auto developed for longer veg times?
 
These are auto critical mass there a cross with some afghani , skunk #1 , old breed known as big bud. 70 percent indica and 30 percent sativa. Most of the autos ive been growing have all reached heights of 4 to 5 feet tall and usally get one runt but it produces well.

For sure! I may have to check out B2CAG's auto fem collection and rethink my aversion to auto seeds.
 
I have grown the auto critical before plants grew to 4 to 5 feet decent harvest this is my first time growing Auto critical mass. I have always have had big autos for some reason even when i grew Auto Dwarf low ryder they were over 4 feet tall.

Curious....what is your process? What are you doing different that another soil grower is doing or is this purely genetic? Like I said, most autos I see are small, like maybe 24" in circumference.

Any time ive grown autos and not supercropped them, they usually end up 4+ feet tall.
I have to get some new autos so i can continuously run 1 or 2 in my veg tent. Theyre not terrible, just gotta get good genetics. Mephisto has a really good reputation

I began to explore auto's by breeder Rick Mosca and his Frosted Skywalker I grew to 7 1/2 oz's 5 ft tall and was super cropped late. Some of these breeders got auto's figured out check out my perpetual grow. SSgrower

Thats the same day I dropped seeds in water for the batch I have growing now. I just flipped mine 7 days ago so your auto's started on their own about 2 weeks before mine to flower and have a bit of more height than mine but mine are stretching like crazy right now, I have to bend them over & lay a net on them asap or they'll reach my lights real soon. We're in a race to the finish, I have my Far reds running so if they work we should be finishing around the same time.

I threw a net over my plants last night just before lights out and kind of ape like I broke 3 tops off and did more damage than good but the bottom net is on and this morning they all look perky so eh. its dun. My plants all look very healthy and can take a bit of bashing around without too much harm done.

I'm feeding 5/5/5/4/5 ml/gal micro/grow/bloom/diamond nectar/flora clean, next week I add 5 cal/mag and the week after 1 tsp kool bloom.

On my last grow I let the reservoir do its thing and I never cleaned it....bad idea...I will be cleaning every 2 weeks now as recommended and when I change my mix.

Darkhorse Genetics and Rick Mosca and decided I'd give em a try myself, novice grower at best. I nailed it through Mosca's instructions I h2o w/ h202 straight into a 3 gal coco final and !st. transplant. Lessens shock, and I got a great return for my limited 3 year experience indoors. I'm hooked. SSgrower
