Shaded's Corner Reborn

It's the thought that counts right?? The tariffs at the border would probably break my bank account anyways 😉 look at the root balls on those gals! Hooooly smokes. Looking VERY nice ninja. I'm absolutely going to have to work on that happy wife happy life balance thing. I'm so used to my bachelor pad life and just doing whatever the hell I damn please. Oh well, I'm just happy that she's given me a bit of a green light to get back into it. She knows how much I miss it and how happy it makes me.

Good call with using the tent to dry, duh! My brain is paused in the perpetual grow mindset that the obvious wasn't so obvious lol
Thank you for the compliment! Love some hydro root porn

Yeah she said i could do ONE plant and i convinced her if doing one might as well do two! 😆

That was our compromise from my once 15+ plants at the thick of it.

Same here, she knows i love the hobby, it brings me peace when life gets crazy. I got to clean tent and get ready for next run maybe this weekend.

Sounds like we are in similar boats! Life is all about compromise I guess. Hopefully in the next 5-10 years we will eventually move into a larger place, and maybe then I will get to build myself a man shed outside like @steamroller :)

What strain(s) are you going with for your next run? I'm still trying to decide what I want to do myself.

The last batch of seeds I picked up were from QC Seeds, and my very last run before the hiatus was their Black Gold. I still have around 300g of this stuff sitting in untouched Grove Bags so I'm good for a long time at my current rate of consumption(RoC):

When the 2x2 gets here on Monday I have decided I will try out their Quebec Gold 2.0 strain next:

I haven't decided if I want to do 1x10 gallon plant or 2x5 gallon plants but I've still got a few days to make up my mind.

Cheers 🧙‍♂️

EDIT: might have to consider 1x5 gallon or 2x3 gallons....I've never grown in anything as small as a 2x2. I think I had 4x5 gallons in my closet which was 2x4.

Welcome back bro, glad to hear life is looking up!
Still over here running your method, I have no complaints, the shit works man.
Gonna run your mix in 20g pots when I move in my new place and have the space, I noticed the more soil the better it is.

20 gallon is going to be a BEAST! Looking forward to that @GoodShit97

Largest pot I ran was I believe a 15 gallon in my 4x4. There's just something cathartic about growing big plants.
Glad to hear and see that my guides have helped people out, it was def a bit of a learning curve when I first started. And it's been fun to see what changes and modifications other people have been doing with the recipe. I have said and will always say growing with organic dry amends isn't an exact science, and part of the fun is having to tinker and adjust as we go.

You can even blow some bong hits in the tent once in a while too lol, it will get filtered out for a quick sneak rip once in a while 😎

I haven't decided yet, this weekend i need to pull them out and decide and then mail some to one of our buddies on here. I got these one off freebies I'm thinking about like unicorn poop lol

I'm not looking to get murdered sooooo sneaky bong rips into the tent won't be on my list of things to try! haha

I got 4 seeds in some paper towel germinating right now but I am 95% sure I will just do one plant in a 7 gallon pot. 5% of me figures I might do a 2x3 gallon grow if 2 of the seedlings look strong. My tent should get delivered tomorrow and then it's go time.

@ninjadip I've also been considering grabbing a roll of activated carbon filter material. Any thoughts or tips on how to block up my intakes? I mean the simple answer is tape or something but I figure its best to reach into the think tank

I use a black sponge I have for/from my fish tanks.
Used to be expensive buying Poret mat sponges but Amazon has mat sponges relatively cheap now.
I got a 2 inch thick 12.5X23 inch sponge for $15.
I roll it up and use it in my tent vents. You could easily do two vents with one sponge cut to 6X23. That might even still be too big/long and you could cut it again. At first I though of cutting the circle shape but that would only be 2 inches thick and as it turns out rolling a straight flat piece is way easier.
They block light and flow air freely. I just stick them out and draw the tie string real tight.

You got a pic you can share here steamroller? Sounds pretty simple enough though, get activated carbon filter roll, cut to size, shove in hole and tighten 🧠

I remember seeing these things years ago but never really pulled the trigger:

Tails started showing on 3/4 of the germinated seeds, so in to 4" pots with the base soil mix and under the light they go. I've also got some other seedlings started for outdoor pots - Habanero Peppers, Strawberries, Heirloom Lettuce, Purple Beans, and Green Beans.

  • 2x Green Crack
  • 2x Quebec Gold 2.0
If I get at least 2 strong growers I will run 2x3 gallon pots, and if I get one alpha then I will just do 1x7 gallon pot. My tent should be arriving today and then I will get the SE3000 set up.

I love fresh Green Crack (Kush?)
Is Quebec Gold an offspring of Columbian Gold or similar?

Looking forward to your grow.

The Green Crack seeds are a freebie bag in my stash so I don't know much about them unfortunately, and I don't even remember where they came from lol. This is the info on the Quebec Gold:

Quebec Gold 2.0 is the result of crossing Big Bud with a selection of Skunk strains, creating a hybrid that delivers a combination of potency, high yield, and flavorful buds. Each of the parental strains brings unique characteristics to Quebec Gold 2.0, enhancing its overall qualities and making it a well-rounded option for a wide range of users.

  • Big Bud: Known for its massive yields and dense buds, Big Bud is a classic strain that brings incredible production potential to Quebec Gold 2.0. The large, resin-coated buds ensure a high return on investment for growers.
  • Skunk: The addition of Skunk genetics contributes to the robust structure, pungent aroma, and balanced effects of Quebec Gold 2.0. The Skunk lineage ensures that this strain is easy to grow, resistant to mold, and capable of producing high-quality buds with complex flavors.

The combination of these genetics results in a resilient and high-yielding strain that provides both growers and users with an outstanding cannabis experience. The feminized seeds guarantee that every plant will be a productive female, maximizing the overall yield and making the growing process more efficient.

Thanks @TomH I am also looking forward to it! Will be nice to get back into a groove 🧙‍♂️
