I thought I read putting seeds under xray would make them sterile?
 
The LED is at 28 inches. I used the very chunky perlite this time and each time I water, it floods the room. I have to put towels around to sop up the excess water. I guess it’s too chunky, allowing too much water to pass thru the medium. Another couple of days and then I expect these to really take off...........
 
How much did you use..I used 2 handful to every 10 of the 70/30 perlite.different media but.since I’ve started using the chunky perlite my salt buildup has vanished completely..
 
i used almost 1.5 cu ft per bale of Promix.............which is about normal for me. I didn't account for the coarseness of it, #3, so the pieces are quite big. Promix's only fault is it compacts over time, especially the top few inches so this helps make sure watering doesn't just run down the sides of the pots. Until there's more roots to soak up the water, I'll probably cut down a bit how much i water each pot...........I'll also keep raising the ppm each flowering, now i'm up to about 500-550 as they are showing me they want more right now.

The plan at least for now is to top at week 4, lolipop and defoliate in week 5 and then start to flower. I just want to observe their growing pattern, how many leaves they are putting out and any variances between the plants in the room.

LED dropped to 24 inches above canopy.........and i'll be increasing ppm to 650 or so. i want these to green up a bit. i'll also bump up cal/ mag to10ml per gallon for a while. Otherwise, these should really take off by the end of this week.
 
PPM was applied even higher than previously mentioned......i wanted 10ml cal/mag per gallon to start, that took ppm to 550 although the reservoir was already at 280 with what was left in there previously. So 45ml of Botanicare Grow took it to 750ml overall, which i watered with........with the lowering of the LED's to 24 inches, they'll need higher doses anyway........

Only 1 pic in the entire thread is visible, that’s on page 1, 3rd one down. The rest either say Image.jpg or something else top left............and things are taking a long time to load when I hit save.....

I'm guessing we are overloading the server and still behind on getting everything moved. Everything looks fine on my end but the site is definitely experiencing a heavy load and we're working on it. Thanks for the heads up.

I’ve had how you described since I joined but they eventually come up.any guys diary’s with lots of photos takes forever so that’s the main reason I haven’t commented on some.I just cbf waiting that long…to tell you the truth ive always blamed the plan I’m on but its no different when it’s the start of a month when I have all my bytes..
 
All my pic's are back up, thanks guys.......... it's not about internet speed, as mine is the fastest available at nearly 400Mbps. When i run a speed test, it's at the 99 percentile speed wise. With Comcast recently upgrading all my equipment and outside lines, i'm finally getting some value from my $287 a month.

Wow and i thought the 157 dollars i paid for internet was a lot... phew!!
 
Fuckin Comcast......it's the only service available here other than satellite. I'm in a very rural area, but it's slowly growing. They have a monopoly here, they can charge whatever they like and have you by the balls. Add in all their customer service is outsourced to India, you need a frickin interpreter to understand anything they are saying (after the 20 minute wait to talk to an agent). With that though, when we upgrade the tv's in the house to internet ready, we'll drop the tv service and probably the phone and save $100. Lol Actually my wife works from home, and her company pays her $99 a month to help with the internet, so it's not as bad as i make it sound..........

Ahhh so thats a full package price, mine was almost 300 too so i did just internet cause i have all the streaming services
 
Nice..how’s your weather over there bud..plants looking good and staying short as usual.I actually spin out how short those lights keep pretty much all your plants you have grown.that always works in your favour running 12.if they got tall and had long branching she sure would b a jungle…I have 3 short plants this grow and i reckon if they would all grow like that I’d b able to squeeze 12 in there.lol..
 
Pretty hot last couple of weeks, but that can be expected here.......I'm just off the Chesapeake Bay so August is always hot and humid- actually thru most of September too. Youtube has a number of weather channels that are predicting the worst winter for us in 25 years. We are in a El Niño pattern now and the east coast is supposed to get hit with many snow storms throughout the winter. We really haven't seen any snow the last 2 years here- finally we'll get numerous bad storms. i exchange bottles of wine for my neighbors to plow my driveway, i'm already stocking up.
 
they may be a bit light in color but i just hit them with 900ppm ferts in this watering AND the lights put off all white light which distorts their coloring a bit. To get a true viewing, i turn those led's off and bring in another light source to view properly. if anything, they need more cal/mag based on the leaf rippling. i was going to give them a cal/mag spraying tonight at light off, let them absorb what that want, and then wash them off at lights on tomorrow morning.

I'll lolipop and defoliate everything on saturday, rearrange the room and switch to flowering, so sunday will be day 1.
 
Looks like 11.5 inches tall and 12 inches across at the top. They say 4 gallon somewhere on the bottom, or maybe 4.25 gallon but they are never filled to the very top. These narrow quite a bit towards the bottom too. I'm having new hardwood and carpet put in the upstairs bedrooms/hall/bathrooms of the house on Sat. so I'll push the defoliation off til Sunday. The house gets quite smelly when I go at it with most strains.
 
Hey @SSHZ, looks like your off to a great start! I went back through the thread but didnt see anything about PPFDs. Are you checking the light intensity? That droop looks a bit like LED light stress to me. I could be totally off here, but thought it may be worth mentioning.

Possibly

There's a slight discoloration to them and some leafs show stress signs
 
The room is an about 52 inches across i think......the pots are not exactly lined up.

The discoloration and leaf issues were caused by me lowering the LED's to much to soon. Once i switch to flowering, in a short time they will be fine appearance wise. I've been through it before, won't be an issue in the long run.

i don't pay attention to the PPFD chart....... this is my 13-14 grow under these LED's now, I'm on top of it. I just like to experiment a bit, up and down withthe lights, up and down with humidity, up and down with the ppm. Some strains i like to push, this is my 3rd grow with this strain since 2018.

I'll probably raise the light back up to 23-24 inches tomorrow, stick with veg ferts for 2 more weeks and do the defoliation/lolipopping on Sunday with the switch to flower.

I have a lot going on right now, with health issues and house remodeling......so i put my 15 minutes in a day and not much more. With the switch, i'll spend more time taking care of business.
 
No problem........there's no denying you guys are correct in your observations.

I just raised the LED's back to 24 inches so you guys would stop picking on me. LOL Everything will bounce back quickly.

haha dont mean to nitpick, i know youll have some beautiful buds here starting in a month or so
