What are you listening too?

Couldn't resist one more from this Jewell.

Love the raw sound of wood and steel, and in this case a bit of brass and skin.

What di you know about White Zombie, I got a t-shirt! SSgrower
I got a T-shirt that I got 2 sizes to big in middle school that is about thin as it gets these days...long sleeve too...believe it's in my dresser still, haven't worn it in years basically just used it to layer up in cooler temps but it's still there, hanging on by a thread

And I know they blow rob zombie solo work out the water haha

@Rootsruler that og swag from when they were still a band, none of that super swinging sexy bullshit yet either lol

Oldest most worn piece of clothing I own...

Saw them open for Pantera in 96 or 97. Awesome show. With the original line up. Also saw Rob Zombie at Oz Fest in early 2000. Think Mike Riggs was the guitarist not sure. He had an acrylic guitar filled with something probably alcohol. But as he was playing he was drinking from the guitar body and got chocked up. Dude was gagging gasping and puking. He pulled through tho.

I used to go over to my cousin's as a kid who was quite a bit older than me and always remember this full stack amp, he told me pretty recently that it was one they took from River Port during the GnR riot when axle rose hit that dude with a mic and dove in the crowd or some shit....he lost it during a move... friend was holding it and ghosted him when he tried to get it back

He also told me he sold some weed to ric flair and Jake the snake one time and after he sold them the bag ric flair kicked him out of their limo lmao

i saw rob zombie open for pantera!! it was dimebags birthday... great f'n show!
I agree Great show. We were in 3rd row. It was Starwood Amphitheater. I throw a big hog leg on stage at Phil and dude snatched it up. When me and my buddy Jay went to Oz Fest in 1999 , god rest his soul. We were front row. Slayer was doing their set and Jeff Hanneman spit right on his chest lmao. He kept jamming like so what. Needless to say Jay was pissed. Dave pointed at me and went to throw his sticks but his aim was bad and he over threw. So he shrugged his shoulders and said sorry dude and walked off stage. Great times.

damn, that sound awesome!! front row!!!

i saw an oz fest around that year, in jersey.. wasn't near the front row though.. wasn't even in the seating area. thats how most of my concerts have been, seen a lot of them but most of them have been in the grass!!!

i was front row for metallica at woodstock, but again grass(mud)!!! haha

i was pretty close to the stage at a primus show once, but that only because it was indoors and had no grass!!!

Dude Primus was there also. Awesome show. Buckethead made an appearance with them. Deftones was there. Absolutely loved those guys and still do. I even found the set list for that concert. Oh and if my buddy hadn’t paid I wouldn’t have went. Had a 2 year old daughter and a 3 month old daughter. I remember the tickets were 65. The Pantera tickets were 35.
Oh and that was the first time Slayer played In Nashville. They were banned for being a quote satanic band.

Forgot to mention. I’ve never saw Metallica. My wife did with GnR. I did see Megadeth in a small club called 328 performance hall. Now that was an upclose and personal show. No stage no nothing. I got word along time ago Metallica was going to do a show and wanted Death to open. But Chuck was battling cancer and couldn’t do it. Would have loved to see Death live. Too bad Chuck passed away a short time later. Death is on of my all time greatest Metal Bands.

man if they were only $65 now days!!!!!! can barely even get in the grass for that now!!

i've seen metallica a lot. more than any other two bands combined i bet!! i have seen a few of those small venues now that you mention them, i saw marilyn manson in a tiny joint back when he was just starting out, back when he actually liked to perform. but never saw a big stage up close like that, just the woodstock, and i was trippin pretty good that weekend so memory is faded a little!! hehe

Prices are insane now a days. I haven’t been to a show since Oz Fest. I did however see a few friends local bands and I played in a band for a few years. But those days are long gone.

One of my room mates, when I lived in a loft in DTLA, was a drum tech that was teching for all the hottest bands at the time. We had a party at the loft and when I saw the guests that were arriving I was pretty shocked. All the dudes form Korn, he was teching for David at the time, Chino and Steven from the Deftones, Clutch, Daisy and Twiggy from Marilyn Manson, Matt and Duff from GnR and the whole Cypress Hill crew among a bunch I'm forgetting. Didn't realize my bro went that deep in the biz.

He got fucked over by Tommy Lee when he was teching for him and he got blackballed out of the industry.

"1 thing you can't hide, is when you're crippled inside" feels like the world is wobbling kind of teetering and tottering; but when I hear a song like this one and see Brent (IMHO most talented Dead piano tickler), well it is all going to be OK. What a gorgeous voice reminds us that we'll get there -- and maybe come back again and again to that same spot.

What’s surprises me is that anyone cares what Tommy Lee thinks.

He was one of the unknowns in the whole Tommy/Pam video that got released. Tommy had asked him to house sit his Malibu home because they were renovating the house. Tommy went and stayed with Pam in her Malibu colony house while they were doing this. SOMEHOW the tape got out and Tommy blamed my room mate even though the tape was locked in a safe. Everyone in the industry at the time believed Tommy and my room mate got blackballed out. I can't put all the blame on Tommy though because my room mate and David were doing blow by the Kilo even though management was paying my room mate extra to babysit him and keep him off the powdered ambition.

We all know that Tommy himself was the one that released it for publicity since his sorry ass was becoming irrelevant by the day. One of the bright spots in that whole fucking mess was when they were doing the demolition on the house the jacuzzi tub that Pam is in in the video got tossed and my room mate alerted me to a perfectly working jacuzzi tub so I hightailed it out there with a cargo van and installed it in the loft! I also got to tour Tommys house. When my roomie was showing me the laundry room I saw a bunch of bathing suits that Pam used for Baywatch. I was thinking about grabbing a couple and putting them up on Ebay for the crotch sniffers to bid on but I thought better of it and left them alone.
