Definitely a music icon for sure.
Even if you arent a country music fan, you've at least heard of Toby Keith lol.

He was a total baddass and one of those rare transcendent artists who could make you a fan no matter your preferred genre.
Not many country folks I like but guys like him and Hank Jr., Johnny Cash, Jimmy Buffett, Glen Campbell, Linda Ronstadt, Willie, the band Alabama, and a handful of others could do it. I think guys like Zak Brown, Charlie Crockett, and Kenny Chesney are moving that way too but not so outlawish like those that came before.

One really cool thing about Keith was his patriotism. He was way more hardcore than most.
He would always get in on those celebrity entertainer trips to Iraq and Afghanistan to play for the troops. They would do these shows in the rear where it was relatively safe for everybody. TK however after the shows, would grab a guitar and one dude from his band with another guitar and helo out to forward fighting positions to play an acoustic set for the forward deployed troops. Nobody had the balls to do shit like that but big ol TK wasn't scared of anything! If that dude had to put down a guitar and pick up a machine gun there would be no hesitation

Yeah man, i smoke pain away daily, mental and physical.
