Winter Run

It can be hell. Honestly our last run trimming up 3 tents wasn't so bad, took about a day. At least when they're all massive nugs. Trimming up popcorn and shit sucks.

At least for us it's a team effort since it's my wife and I.
My wife and I also approach the grows as a team effort. Even then, we try to space out the trimming so we're not attempting to trim more than a plant or 2 a day. Otherwise it becomes a chore ... As for popcorn buds/larf? I lollipop most of that off during early flower. Whatever larf that is left after a run usually goes into the trash. I always have an abundance of weed so that little bit that gets pitched is never missed.

GF and I also trim as a team. I trim and put the buds into the jar. She removes the buds and rolls joints and smokes them. Teamwork.

Things are humming along. Starting to think the Lemon Cherry Gelatos saw some reveg at some point, but we shall see. Everyone else is looking good. Everyone is bulking up.

Jelly Breath's: Two pheno's are miles apart in size. Resin production is similar, but I don't think either are cuts we want to continue to hold onto. The cold start has not helped their case, but still. We know we have better cuts we can grow out.
1ACCB9F4-DE3E-477E-8A2E-68C1E8DA74E3.jpeg8D2F6258-DB8D-4898-963D-F48D4BDF9237.jpegACC7C19A-1D9E-48F8-A767-3B32B5556A56.jpeg8C7C07F1-74E6-4C1F-8392-9C0F72567061.jpeg
Lemon Cherry Gelatos: May have seen some reveg. Not entirely sure what may have caused it. In either case they are starting to fill out quite a bit more. Cannot complain about the bulk we see coming in. Frost is certainly there.

Donny Burgers: I have to admit, pretty fucking hyped with how the donny burger grow is going. Some purple color is starting to develop on the top colas. Lower colas are starting to really pack on the weight. Terps are starting to come on strong, mainly Gas right now.

Trop Cherry and Grape Gas: Trop Cherry color is coming in really strong and boy are the nugs getting fat. Not quite as massive as last time, but they're still going to be healthy full dongers. The grape gas is doing exactly what she always does. Terps are out of this world on her. I wish smell could come through the screen. Sweet sweet grape mixed with dirty laundry. Like a fat kids shirt after they spilled grape soda.

Over all happy as hell. Everythings bulking up like we had hoped it would. Dealing with some potential trouble with the Lemon Cherry Gelatos, but oh well. Keeping the pedal down on the PPFD.

Been a few more days and it's obvious the Lemon Cherry Gelato had/has some issues, but they're still swelling quite a bit. Outside of that, very happy with everything so far.

Donny Burgers: Are swelling very nicely. Some color is starting to come in. Got some bad taccoing on a couple of the tops, so rolled the light back a bit. Down to about 750 PPFD.

Lemon Cherry Gelatos: Took some better photo's to capture the re-veg. Some got it worse than others. Lessons learned. Even with that we will still have some interesting looking nugs.

Jelly Breaths: The Jelly Breaths have changed the least. The three in the middle are doing well, oreoz is getting so frosty lol.

Trop Cherry and Grape Gas: Terps in this tent are INSANE. Trop Cherry doing it's thing, while the grape gas is just getting so frosty.

In the last week(s) of flower. This run wasn't as successful as our last run, and we think for a number of reasons. The cooler weather didn't help, but neither did us sending them to flower as early as we did expecting the same explosive growth we had when it was warmer. I also mistakenly though jacks part A had no nitrogen in it. It in fact does. Unintentionally bumped up the N mid flower, pretty sure that caused a lot of problems, including the re-veg of the Lemon Cherry Gelato. We have never flowered in the 2x4 before and decided to do two strains that grow completely differently, and we also through three random clones in the middle of one tent, 2 weeks into flower.

That all being said, we are going to get a few lb's of serviceable weed.

The Donny Burgers: These girls were least effected by the N bump. Some lost a lot of mass in the top cola's due to it, or so I think at least. There are some spots down on the lower growth that are more leafy than other areas. Still, the girls have some really impressive colas.

The Grape Gas and Trop Cherry: Between the lower ppfd and less consistent ppfd, as well as the N issue, its obvious this trop cherry lost some weight to the previous run. Still the color is amazing. The grape gas has never been an impressive yielder. She makes up what she lacks for in the terp and smoke factor. Honestly one of the most intoxicating terps. Thankfully she has retained that despite it all, and her frost factor is quite good as well.

The Lemon Cherry Gelatos: This is the tent that ended up making us the most sad. It clearly took a hit from the N bump and re-vegged. The girls that were topped re-vegged the most. Not expecting much out of this tent, not sure if we're going to end up keeping it. We'll see after the dry.

Jelly Breath's and Company: These girls didn't re-veg because of the N-bump, it just murdered their growth for a while. Sadly, the right side of the Jelly Breaths didn't really grow much for the last 4 weeks. The other girls faired better, but not a ton.

So the Jelly Breaths. They weren't putting on more weight and there was significant amber. Gave them the ol karate chop. Wife said I should have took some pictures of them, and she was right. The left side (#3) had some decent weight to her, but the right side (#5) was light. Fit both plants on a single rack. We decided to move the grape gas and trop cherry out of the 2x4 and into that 5x5 and use the 2x4 as a temporary dry space for the girls we just chopped. The Jelly Breath's tent still had the Oreoz, Garry Payton and the White Runtz going that are two weeks behind.

Grape Gas and Trop Cherry: To be honest the wife and I were sleepn' on how good the grape gas and trop cherry were doing. Putting them in the 5x5 really allowed us to open them up. Terps are amazing. In that same tent we still have the other three going.

Lemon Cherry Gelato: The big sad tent. It's putting on some impressive weight here at the end. Still sad, but less so. Some of the tops look like their giving us the middle finger for that lil N bump a couple weeks back. Overall it's crazy to see how 4 clones from the same mom all handled it differently.

Donny Burger: The color is starting to come in, as the end nears. Still a lot of swelling going on down in the lower growth, while the tops are starting to mature and the resin glans puff up or what ever they do.

Donny burgers are still drinking around 3L of water a day, a couple of them even more than that. The LCG's are around 2L a day, while the Grape Gas and Trop Cherry around around 1-1.5L a day. Lights have slowly getting lower. Burgers are sitting at 700, LCG's are at 750, while the grape gas and trop cherry tent is around 600, depending on the top. Overall we are happy. This is going to produce a lot of good moments and fun times, can't wait.

Friday is likely Chop day for all of them. That will mark day 70. The Trop Cherry might be a tad more ripe than desired but that's our next day off. The Oreoz, White Runtz, and Garry Payton will be at the start of their chop window but eh this was more just to flower some plants we didn't want to throw away. The Donny Burgers are looking to be just a few days out. The lemon cherry gelatos are likely closer to a week, but Friday it is!

The Lemon Cherry Gelatos: What a wild looking bunch of plants. Between the re-veg, the crazy frox tailing, bleached tops, and cursed cola's, this tent has some character to it. We are both curious to see how this will turn out. The colas weigh a ton, so we're hopeful.

Trop Cherry and Company: Trop Cherry really a victim of her own success. Colas are getting heavy and flopping all over the place. The oreoz is doing oreoz things and throwing snowballs all over the place. The white runts is really getting this awesome silver color to her, really pretty.

The Bergers: Girls are looking absolutely fabulous. Fall colors are in full effect. Colas are swollen and throwing beautiful color. Little bit of amber here and there. Thinking Friday should be perfect time to chop.

As one grow comes to and another is starting in its place. We ended up chopping everything on 70F or 58Fish for the oreoz/gary payton/white runtz. We took some photos on chop day, but forgot for the trop cherry :( Big sad on that one, but that's the hazards of mixing the fruits of your labor and the labor itself. Either way, some last moments before the chop shots.

Happy Easter or Sunday what ever floats your boat.

Small update, working through trimming up everything. Got through the Jelly Breaths, got about 3/4 lb off them. Grape Gas was frosty as all hell, but showed signs of the weaker light in the 2x4. Nugs weren't as dense as the JB's. Ended up with 1/4lb. Smoke is on point tho. Working through the Donny Burger, currently through 3/4 of the plants and at about 1lb. Expecting to get another 1/4lb off the last rack we got. Right off the dry, the smoke has been amazing. Big fuck ya on that one. Eventually will remember to take pictures.

New grow is looking good. Temps took a drop here in the bay with the storms. Ended up moving the heaters back in after a couple of cold nights that ended up in the high 50's. Plants stressed from the temp drops. Stems flashed some color pretty quick. Today, though, was a good day. Temps were in the low 70's. Tents were pushing 77 with lights on. Heaters are set to 70, so they shouldn't drop much below that.

Ironically we keep another excel sheet with all the gory details and link this to it. We reference back so often because we can see the pictures of when we did certain things. It's really an amazing learning tool.

So it’s been like 8 weeks or something since we took them as cuts. The girls, for the most part, are getting plenty big enough. We got the nets down to try to build a somewhat even canopy before the flip. Going to up the PPMs on the water a bit, and a slight bump in the PPFD too.

The Real Sours: These girls are the biggest of the bunch. They also seem to be the ones that work best in our system. Got some fat 7 finger fan leaves coming out. Got some great before and after shots from the affects of the net lol.

The Durban Poison: Wife is going to take the lead on these girls. We know they can really grow, we've run them in the past. Excited to see how they do this time!

Alright, so this will be a bigger post than most.

Finally got some pictures of the finished product from the last run.

Grape Gas: Only ended up with about 2oz off the plant. Nugs were decent, think a stronger light would have yielded more but the smoke is amazing and the terps are insane. Grape cream soda and gas. Something pungent in the back too.
69ABD724-0711-42A5-B905-EE7B0C01A8B1.jpegD7C82236-0C6E-428C-B2A8-E9444F643660.jpegE64F2273-42EA-4122-B04A-316AE02DC662.jpeg10B221B7-9BAF-43FA-9A30-F2AB2A78A3B5.jpeg

Donny Burger: Man what a grow for her this was. Yielded about 1.5lbs off all four plants. We had about another 1/3lb of smalls and shake we are going to press out, or try to press out lol. Terps are familiar, it's GMO crossed a bunch of times, so many of those same terps, but on steroids. Smoke is great, euphoric high that settles into a nice stoned feeling.

Jelly Breath: They actually came out well, just didn't yield much. Dense nugs, but the calix to leaf ratio was a little off. Would have liked to have more calix, but get what you can. Terps are cheese and garlic, smoke is good, high is very stony with good munchies. Got about 1/2lb off the tent.

Alright, and in other good news it's 1F!

We've been keeping them under the net for the last week. We did a bit more tucking here and there, but they are getting too big. Upped the PPFD to around 500~ for most tents. This should double the DLI. It's been about 9 Weeks to the day since we took the cuts. So 5-7 weeks of veg? Anyways...

Apples and Banana's: Girls are looking great. Tents sitting at about 500PPFD across the canopy. They tend to throw some really big fan leaves. We're going to leave them till day 21 for now. In the future we might clean things up a bit.,
C0B37968-F00F-4E53-B42B-426AD4BC7D66.jpeg

Durban Poison and 1 Glitter Bomb: Front right of the tent is the glitter bomb. She's a big girl, with a ton of shoots that are growing well. The other three are the durban poison. My wife thinks the Apples and Bananas are doing better, I think her tent is doing better. Either way they are happy as all hell.

Real Sour: These girls are going to be fucking huuuuge. Like so huge. Excited to see how they turn out. This tents likely going to cause problems with their size lol.

In other news we took cuts 2 weeks ago for the next run and transplanted them. 8 Trop Cherry and 4 Dante's Inferno. Have really high expectations for this run. It's been warmer in the bay and that's been good for growing. Keeping the RH @70% and upped the PPM's to about 1050.

So it's been a minute. Life got busy, but the grow's been chilling. We did some cleaning up today, got about half the plants. We'll get the rest over the next day or so.

Real Sours: These girls are monsters. The stretch is on and they're adding inches on every day. Thankfully we got the nets in earlier and have been able to keep things mostly in check. If these girls were upright they'd be over 7 feet tall easy. They started budding up at day 8. Usually a good sign when the buds start that early.
CC2C3D0B-D7B2-4F34-901E-4CAA8D4784BE.jpeg0F48D6F6-1538-4C5E-9785-C01D85322928.jpegD8886C11-0808-4EEB-8344-9D70A03F02C2.jpeg

Durban Poison and a Glitter Bomb: The Durban Poison's are doing super well. They have strong lateral branching and are filling in the tent well. The lone Glitter Bomb is putting on a show. Couple of tops have some solid buds for two weeks in.
996C1EAD-DDD1-44DF-9D8E-31252B6100D2.jpeg5BCA5CDE-08FE-438C-826E-7F5CBDE84349.jpeg66D082C9-1D11-4DC6-910B-53F202904136.jpeg4093DC8F-301E-4489-B321-ED694B625934.jpeg

Apple's and Banana's: The back two have been cleaned up but the front two not so much. They are filling out the tent nicely, have a few holes here and there, but with 1 more week of stretch left, we're hopeful it will fill out.
F72DA01F-B918-4763-845D-5550A9EA136C.jpegEFBAC472-C50E-4978-96F2-1DC7C778C337.jpegAD42C69C-EB22-47CB-8110-FEE2E5E961B2.jpeg

Over all big happy with how things are going right now. Big bright green growth, and excellent budding across all tents. Due to the size of the plants, we are watering daily. Currently they are getting 2.5L a day with about 10%~ run off. Ideally we'd want less run off, but we have to water run off to ensure full saturation because...they're drinking their pots dry over night. We're going to have to figure out something before mid flower because they're going to require more than 1 watering during their light stage once we hit week 4+ it looks like. We've got the lights about 18~inches off the canopy. The average is about 650~PPFD right now. Plants are loving it. Temps have been perfect as well. We also added purpinator into the water at .2ml/gal. Pretty small dose, but enough to bump the PPM up about 50~

So it's the start of week 3, and here's to hoping most of the stretching is done. We've been tucking, snipping and clipping our way to a semi decently even canopy. Getting better at having an even canopy, just a skill issue at this point lol.

Real Sours: Yeah, they stretched. We were able to keep it on lock for the most part, just a lot of foliage to clean up. Once we're sure they're done stretching we'll do a sweep for big dumb leaves.

Durban Poisons and the Glitter Bomb: The DP's had a lot of lateral growth, but more focused on her main limbs vs. the Sours which have branching shooting off everywhere. The glitter bomb was like the DP's but had thinner and more branches. What she lacks up in for mass, she is making up with resin. Sheesh, it's only day 21.

Apples and Banana's: These girls throw a giga ton of big dumb fan leaves, everywhere. Last week we cleaned them up a ton, and now they're all back! Shouldn't really complain, since it does seem they are very happy and easily recover from heavy defoliation. Outside that, very happy with this tent, girls have big beautiful buds and are showing solid resin production.

They also have an interesting trait that I've only seen a few other times. The buds have singular large pistils vs. a bunch of smaller ones. Curious to see how this turns out.

Overall super happy with the growth and bud production. The glitter bomb is putting on a show that we're hoping will really be something in a month or so. Watering around 3L a day /w 10% run off. Light is sitting around 650-700 PPFD in most spots across the grow.

At the end of week 3 and things are going great. The glitter bomb is putting on an early show, the frost factor for day 27 is something crazy. We've grown this strain before and the smoke will make even dudes with the craziest tolerance raise an eyebrow, so super hyped to see how it turns out. The Apples & Banana's is bulking up like it's week 6 already. We're assuming this is a good thing but time will tell.

The Real Sours: insert wood/buzz meme bud sites bud sites everywhere. These ladies got buds everywhere. Looking back we didn't cut enough as we should have, but there are still going to be plenty of top sites getting premium light.

The Durban's and the Glitter Bomb: The Durban Poisons are looking great. They have solid resin production, and solid budding. Didn't have as many lateral branches as the glitter bomb, but damn the ones it did have are logs. The Glitter Bomb is really putting on a frosty show. She's leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of the group with her frost. The buds are still pretty small right now, but plenty of solid pistil growth means tons of growth to come.

The Apples & Banana's: We were hoping the big single white pistils would mean crazy calyx growth and, so far at least, that seems to be the case. While they are not quite as frosty as the glitter bomb, the sheer size of the calyx already is got us excited. This will be our first time running them, excited to see how it turns out!

Grow is going well, at least to us. Yeah there are some things we could address, and I think we slowly are during this run. All the tents are smashing right now and we are excited as fuck to get to the later weeks of flower. Opening the tents every day is like christmas. Feel like a damn kid again. The two strains that seem to really be standing out right now are both CLTVTD cuts. The Sour Diesel is a cut from a dude on the other forum. Think the actual name is The Real Sour X Grape Cream Cake and yeah I'm not saying that nonsense every time. Should perform well, but late flower will show. We've run it once in the past, and needless to say it didn't go as well as this run, but it still produced some fire bud, so.... The Durbans are random cuts. We've run in the past, but it was a medicore run, to say the least. She did produce, so assuming we do are part, pretty sure she'll do hers.

Been a minute. Life got up to shit, you know how it is. Either way we coming up on the start of week 8. We had more cases of self induced re-veg, or at least we think. The Real Sours were affected the most, but all the tents were touched some what. We believe between our heavy defoliation 14F and a combination of upping the PPM's around the same time caused some interesting side affects. The Apples & Banana's has one plant that's completely normal.

Real Sours: You can see in some of the pictures how the calix are split into long fox tailish looking nugs instead of solid dense ones. There are examples of decent looking nugs, but almost all the tops are airy. She's a 9-11 week girl so we still got plenty of time for things to change, and we know it will, but right now it's a little bum.
IMG_8273.jpegIMG_8274.jpegIMG_8275.jpeg

Durban Poison and the Glitter Bomb: The Durbans are likely the least affected as a whole by our error. They have some leafy funk on the top of most of the tops, but everything else below that is straight dongs. One plant was affected more than the rest, but even then, it's still not bad. The Glitter Bomb was putting on a frost show and really doing some packing but then got stunted for about 2ish weeks. A lot of her frost also went amber. It was like she was finishing on week 4. After adjusting the water down things cleared up a bit. She's not going to be a chunker like the last run, but she'll be still plenty of good smoke.
IMG_8276.jpegIMG_8277.jpegIMG_8278.jpegIMG_8279.jpegIMG_8280.jpeg
Apples & Banana's: Tent has some of the most afflicted and least influenced all under one light. Wild. Anyways, back right really was unaffected by any of the bull shit. All fat fucking golfball tops. Her sisters...well pictures show. They're chunky, but in a wild kinda way.
IMG_8281.jpegIMG_8282.jpegIMG_8283.jpegIMG_8284.jpeg

Overall will be a solid harvest. It's been nice in the bay and the girls have been getting a good dose of warmth. Next run is getting huuuuge. Need these girls to finish to make room lol. That'll be the last run till the fall. Tired of dealing with 100+ degree garage.

The Apples&Banana's, Glitter Bomb and Durban Poison got the chop. Only ones left are the Real Sours.

Some shots of the real sours and how they're doing:
The N Toxicity did a number on them. They are filling out decently now that we've cut the N back, but still :/
IMG_8354.jpegIMG_8353.jpegIMG_8352.jpeg

Lastly Some parting shots of the rest of the girls:
IMG_8377.jpegIMG_8376.jpegIMG_8375.jpegIMG_8374.jpegIMG_3820.jpegIMG_3826.jpegIMG_3829.jpegIMG_3849.jpegIMG_3824.jpeg

Next run is getting scary big lol. We'll take some pictures here soon, but needless to say the dante's inferno's are going to be HUUUUUUGE.

So we chopped the last of the girls from that run. The Glitter Bomb and Apples & Banana's have finished drying already. Unfortunately we have to dry in the garage so its been warm. Finished in about a week :/ Glitter Bomb has all been trimmed up. Got about 1/3lb of her. Just like our last run terp and smoke wise. Working through the Apples & Banana's right now. Going to get some weight off them. Will take pictures...eventually lol.

Anyways on to the next run. Only running two strains this time. Trop Cherry and a Mile High Dave cut of Dante's Inferno. We took these cuts back at the end of March...they have had some time to veg to say the least. The Dante's inferno's are ahead as far as flowering goes and just hit 7F today. The Trop Cherry's are only day 3F.

Trop Cherry: We got 8 of them packed in there right now, but that's only because one of their tents is being used to dry our last run. Once we get the Durban Poisons trimmed up we can move the Real Sours (all 5 racks) to another smaller tent to finish drying and move the other trop cherry's into their home. And then we're going to turn on the CO2. Not going to change anything compared to the other tent, simply add CO2 and see what happens. Most have been in their respect 3gal pots for at least 2 weeks, some even longer.
IMG_8405.jpegIMG_8406.jpeg

Dante's Inferno's: Yeah we fucked up. They're huge. We tried our best to flatten them out but they still have TWO MORE WEEKS OF STRETCH. Either way, it's a decent even canopy right now and hopefully we can keep it that way. Should have taken a picture of the trunks of these gals. Thicker than a snicker.

Alright it's been another week and the stretch has really been on.

Trop Cherries: 9F for these gals. We finally got the other tent emptied out and the girls in their perm homes. One tent has CO2 running at 1100PPM and the other is without. Girls usually perform really well in our system, so excited to see what the CO2 tent can do and what problems it will cause. They started budding up at 7F. Have to admit that's the earliest we've ever had obvious buds showing up.

/w CO2:
IMG_8444.jpegIMG_8445.jpegIMG_8446.jpeg

Dante's Inferno: It's been fun trying to keep these girls from kamikazing straight into the light. We have about 4-6 more inches of play between the light and the highest we can get it in the tent. Goal was to keep the light as is and raise once the stretch was done. It's sitting at around 12 inches right now and it's a tad too tight. Some hot spots are getting 850+PPFD, and for day 14F that feels like a tad too much light. Good thing is that the it's been keeping the bud spacing very tight on the taller lights.
IMG_8441.jpegIMG_8442.jpegIMG_8443.jpeg

Overall things are going well. Keeping our feed consistent this time around, no messing around with the numbers and possibly giving too much N. We are adding Purpinator, and that's the only thing that will change. We've been running RH pretty high in our last few grows, usually ending at 57% RH, feels a bit easier to keep things in control but we will see. Temps have been really warm, and that's likely been stressing them a bit, but they're just happy to finally be off to the races.

i like to run 80sF+ 70s rh , drop temps and rh last week or two.

Almost another week in the books and shits looking good. The Dante's inferno are going to get a heavy defoliating tomorrow. The trop cherry's are still about a week away from having their heavy clean up.

Trop Cherry's: We at 15F. We had the lights a tad too close. Some of them got a little annoyed by the extra intensity, but seem to recovering well. The CO2 tent looks like it has a bunch more mass to it, and seems to be producing more vegetation faster, but unsure if that's just the plants, or in our heads. Longer flower goes on the more we will be able to tell we hope.

Defoliation DONE.

Well...the Dante's leaves all grew so it looks cluttered as fuck again. We'll deal with that. We are pushing them pretty hard right now, and probably too hard in the CO2 and the pictures will show. Overall things are looking solid! Our first run with Dante's so no idea really how we're doing there, but we've run the Trop enough times to know it's going well!

Trop Cherry: These girls are smashn right now. Let the tops get away from us a bit. Probably should have had the PPFD higher at the start of flower, but oh well. The tent without CO2 could probably use a smidge more PPFD, and the CO2 could use a smidge less, so bumped them around to around 800PPFD and 950PPFD respectively.

No CO2:
IMG_8499.jpegIMG_8500.jpegIMG_8502.jpegIMG_8501.jpeg

CO2: Those with a more experienced eye can probably lend some advice here. They all look a little light to us, so we backed the PPFD off about 50-100PPFD. Is this likely light stress or a def? We're running 1200 PPM CO2, lights around 900~PPFD, not really smashing hard with the food, only sitting around 950PPMs. Just from looking at the top down picture it looks like only the tops are hit and the ones directly under the boards the most affected.
IMG_8505.jpegIMG_8506.jpegIMG_8507.jpegIMG_8508.jpeg

Dante's Inferno: First time running these girls. Sheesh, we done gone goofed and let them veg wayyy to long. Stretch on these girls was intense, even with the light slamming on them from 1F. These girls can really take some light, the very tops are hard to see, but most of this tent is chilling around 850PPFD. Resin production is strong, but the bud development so far has been nothing to write home about.
IMG_8503.jpegIMG_8504.jpeg

Overall things feel good. Dante's is a bit overgrown again, and the CO2 is proving to be trouble, but we expected that. Nothing insane yet, but it's only week 3. We'll see what happens over the next few days.

Alright been a few days and despite it being hot as hell things are going well. We shut the CO2 off in the other Trop Cherry tent. Ended up not feeling as adventurous as we thought.

Trop Cherry: 27F for these girls and gawd damn are they starting bulk up. Usually don't get much color till week 4-5 and that seems to be the case here again. They look like they're on the same track to really put out some crazy buds. It is much hotter than last October when we were running them, so we expect a hit for that. Both tents are sitting at about 950 PPFD with some tops getting 1100+. The CO2 tent has seemed to have recovered from what ever happened. Leaves are still a bit light in the back but they've gotten a lot better from where they were. Just bumped that one back up to the 950. Other tent has been sitting at 950 for the last few days. They got lighter in color for sure, but no outward signs of problems yet.
IMG_8524.jpegIMG_8525.jpegIMG_8526.jpegIMG_8530.jpegIMG_8531.jpegIMG_8532.jpeg

Dante's Inferno: 32F With how overgrown this tent is it's hard to get in there and get quality pictures. Solidly into week 4 now and things look good. Resin production is amazing, and the buds are starting to put some weight on. Obviously not nearly as much as the Trop, but it's a welcomed sight. Curious to see how big the buds will get. Knowing this is an Oreoz cross, and from how our Oreoz normally grows, we expect it to really pack on weight late, but time will tell. PPFD is a little less even in this tent, as the canopy is everywhere, but most spots are around the 700-800 range. Some tops are getting just blasted at like 2000+ but that's the cost for the rest of the canopy.

Upped the Purpinator to 10ml/g and saw the tips get some color. Thinking that's about as hard as we can push for now. PPMs are sitting at 1100. Still keeping the base nutes where they've always been. Dante's are drinking about 4.5L of water a day and the trops are sitting at 3L a day. Only get about 2 days of water out of our 25g res. Going to be really fun once we hit mid flower and these girls really start pounding the water.

Eventually we want to get a drip system set up, but first goal is to get a 10x10 and get that squared away.

Drip with vwc% sensors?

Once that drip amount is dialed.....killer.

So we got another week in the books. Trop Cherry are at 37F and the Dante's Inferno's are at 41F.

Trop Cherry: Not quite as explosive as our October run last year. Heats been a lot hotter, keeping the lights off temps in the high 70's and mid 80's. Figuring that's going to cost us, don't know how much but some. Tips are pretty lit on most of them so we're going to back off the PK a bit or drop the EC. Best part of growing these girls is the awesome color and it's starting to come through. Excited to see how purple/amber these girls get.

Dante's Inferno: Starting to pack on size is the spots we can see them. Lesson learned about these girls, they stretch a ton. Frost is incredible, which makes sense seeing it's an oreoz cross, but it's always wild to see it in person. Excited to see how big the nugs will get.

Watering about 4L a day, having to start staggering the waters to help try to reduce how crazy the dry back is. Plants are to big to be hand fed once a day, even for a 3G pot. This is for sure going to drive the EC of the media up. Figure it's kinda late in the game to hit them with enzymes as there's prolly a decent amount of salt built up in the pots. Either way we reduced the PPFD a bit to help lighten the load. Down to around 850 in most places. Still some tops getting over 1000, but no longer most of the tent. PPMs for the water have remained roughly the same, somewhere between 1000-1100. RH is chilling at 60% and figure that's about as low as we're going to go for now. Towards the end we will drop to 55%.

Not quite another week, but the fun has begun. 41F for the Trop Cherry and 46F for the Dante's. Dropping the light seemed to be a good move. Trop Cherry really responded well and starded bulking up fast. The Dante's have really started to pack on some weight. Picture don't really do her justice...or our growing but eh... Anyways:

Trop Cherry: Leafe color is returning to normal. We were pushing them, and it seems to hard. Since backing off the light they've made significant gains. The purple color is really starting to come through. The terps are loud as hell.

Lookking good how come so high on temps. Just asking because might up mine deoending on what you say. Im under led tunning 81 at moment 15 days into flower. Yoi think i should go higher

TLDR: We grow in the garage.

House built in the 50's with a detached 2 car garage with 0 insulation. Have a portable AC unit blowing behind all three of the tents where their intake vents are, but that's about the extent of the 'cooling' going on in there. It's summer in California so temps are getting up there for us, but we're lucky enough to be in the Bay Area so temps are pretty mild compared to pretty much everywhere else.

That all being said, the reality is that lights come on at 4PM and go off at 4AM. So they're on during the night for the majority of the time. This is to help provide heat during the colder times and it's usually cooler at night during the hot days. The AC can keep the temps in the tents a couple degrees sub ambient with lights off and a bit above ambient with the lights on during the day (like 4-7PM). Once the sun goes down temps usually drop pretty rapidly, and by 8PM the tents are sitting around 84F. By 10PM the tents are 75F and that's where they usually sit from 10PM to 4AM. They might get a bit cooler as the night goes on but once the AC kicks off they'll climb back up a bit.

Just ordered a 10x10 to replace the three 5x5's we run now. Eventually we want to get an AC Terraform 7 and have that as the AC source for the tent. The AC unit we are running now doesn't really allow for ducting and would have to be placed inside the tent to really do it's job. With a 5x5 that just wasn't doable. With the 10x10 it should be and when ever AC Infinity decides to drop the Terraform again we'll have even more room.

As far as temps go I would say you're perfect. If we could dial in our CO2 and feed I think our temps would be a bit more manageable and make things better. But without those, we are loosing some. Here's a picture from our last run with the Trop Cherry. This was in the Fall of 23. Temps were in the mid 70's. This picture is from 39F.

Not to try and shit on our own grow, but the difference is pretty obvious to us. Thinking the additional heat is playing into it a bit, but we'll find out in a few months. Going to be running the TC exclusively in our 10x10.

Yeh can imagine it gets hot over there. So probs best to run light through night.
How bout ur humidity 60 do you lower that abit towards the end if ya can.
Incase bud rot etc.

That trop cherry man i gota grow that one time. Bag appeal alone wud mek it sell easyyy here in the uk

RH we usually try to end at 55 or so. I remember reading Aqua or Moe saying that the enemy of mold isn't RH but air flow. I'd like to think we have pretty decent air flow in the tents. We used to push it down to like 45 at the end of flower and always ended up frying the plants. Gotta level up our growing game before we can get down to that RH lol.

Double post incoming.

So was chatting about our set up, here it is.IMG_8608.jpegIMG_8609.jpeg

Three flowering tents on the right, a 2x4 that can't really be seen for vegging, the 5x5 for the moms and another 2x4 that's not pictured for vegging. Going to be getting rid of some stuff to make room for the 10x10, including that massive server rack in the back...what a mistake that was.

End game is to have the 10x10 be our perpetual grow of TC. As Brett said, it's got bag appeal, it's an easy mover. We don't really care for the smoke, so we will have another 5x5 to flower something we actually want to smoke. With a 660W light we're hoping to pull at least 1.5lbs. Should be enough for us to move and smoke. A last 5x5 for the moms and will have the not pictured 2x4 since it's so snuggly fit.

Air flow is a huge variable in higher rh environments, supposedly the spores can't latch on and grow, from wind.
