After another slight ordeal we all made it into their final homes. Somehow I managed to short myself about half of a 5 gallon bag worth of soil. Fortunately, by this time the closer grow shop is open and they had everything I needed at one stop. Just made a quick run on my lunch break and we were back in business.



Then as I opened the internet on my phone this morning to do this update I had a tab open to Greenpoint & I caught a pack of beans for $15 on RA, so I picked up these

Nice work on the upcan Scotty. Coming up short on soil happens to me all the time. Stoner math I suppose.
You're gonna like Purple Crunch. A lot. My most recent harvest filled my coffers with over a lb of PC and it's a legit purp.

Their regs are top shelf IMO.
I've grown a lot and still have a lot of the stardawg crosses and those are the cuts that got me away from Bodhi who I consider one of the best around.
The difference was reliability in the GPS stock because I would get 100% germ rates and always 50/50 minimum male to female ratios where I was not getting that with Bodhi. + the GPS seeds were so much less expensive compared to the $70/pack in Bodhi stock.
Stardawg is right there with any pheno coming from OG Kush and Chemdawgs IMO and way better IMO than others like Underdawgs, Bubbas, and Diesel chem strains. It's reliable and authentic and much like most other OGs and Chems, likes to stretch.

IDK if they lost the male or not. I'd have to buy a new pack and compare with an old pack to see what's up with that.
In regards to hemp, it's in just about every cannabis strain's DNA out there. When Phylos started mapping the genetics it was surprising to see how much hemp DNA is in cannabis but not the other way around.
Here's an example of one stardawg pheno and it's genetic footprint. I'd say this is very close to the GPS pheno if not the same.

Just another quick update, did my 1st topping, not much else to report, everyone seems healthy and happy.



Got my package from Greenpoint & the ducting to vent the veg tent outside. Mounted the blower above the drop ceiling and got the pipe stretched across the room. Just need to mount my vent termination and connect it and we're ready to start as soon as I flip the main tent

Man time flies, just looked & realized I haven't posted an update in 10 days, what a slacker

Just did a minor trimming of the lower leaves, just a couple getting a little bushy at the base, mainly just cleaned them up to make watering easier.

@CannaGranny So something came up I want to run by you. I checked my plants Friday morning & it looked like they were close to needing water. When I got home from work I mixed some of your feed mixture, then before I watered I rechecked & they really didn't need it. Then yesterday they still really didn't need watering. I've been manually keeping the water stirred up, but it's started foaming & developing a bit of a stink. OK to use still or should I remix?

When I got home from work I mixed some of your feed mixture, then before I watered I rechecked & they really didn't need it. Then yesterday they still really didn't need watering. Guess it's time for me to grab a 5 gal and mix up some nutrient to leave out for a week!

Did my 2nd topping & gave them a light trim/lollipop. Probably could have taken more, I'm always afraid to cut too much and then I put them back in the tent and it looks like I barely did anything

Always mix fresh. It’s organic and it grows stinky stuff if left sitting. I try not to mix more than I will need and immediately dispose of anything I don’t use. For sure not something that you should leave sitting at room temp premixed if you are not going to use it right away.

Thanks, that's amazingly nice of you. And I know what was going on in your life that day so I completely understand you not seeing it. In fact after posting it I read up on your situation over on the corner & wished I hadn't even bothered you about it. And honestly no harm was done anyway, they seemed to like their fermented CannaGranny juice, I'll avoid it in the future, but it certainly doesn't seem to have hurt anything.

Another quick update, everyone still looking happy & healthy. I'm heading out of town weekend after next, so my plan is to flip them the weekend after we get back, so black Friday weekend is the plan. Doing my pre flower tea/soil amendments this weekend.

Well I've been slacking again, looks like I haven't updated this in like 2 weeks. Honestly I have been pretty busy & actually haven't had the time to devote to my plants that I'd like.

I've actually run into what I think is a slight mag deficiency on one of them (I should have taken a picture of the leaves on that one but forgot, I'll try to update tonight). Some leaves developing brown spots & drying out. Looks to have striping in the veins on the leaves, I was planning on adding Epsom this weekend anyway so I just added it in last weekend, looks like new growth on the plant seems to be doing better.

Really need to do another trim job It's getting to be a jungle in there, but again I just haven't had much time. I actually went a couple days without checking them, when I finally got time to look at them last night they were all droopy & sad looking. After a feed/water they quickly recovered.

Another quick update. We're 2 weeks into flower, they're really stretching and starting to develop buds.


The plant showing deficiencies seems to have recovered, here are some of the leaves that were showing issues and then a current picture of the top of the plant. Appears to be nice and green and healthy.

I guess I'll just call this my bi-monthly update as I can't seem to find the time to update more often than that. Been a lot of changes going on with my job so I haven't quite had the same amount of free time as I used to.

As far as the plants go, flower tent is 4 weeks into flowering, I think we've finally finished stretching (plant in the back right about caused me to zip tie my lights to the top of the tent) Starting to frost up a bit & buds starting to fatten up.

Also got the veg tent fully up & running. Props to Greenpoint, once again 6/6 germinated and progressing nicely.

Had a bit of an incident last night, just throwing it out there to see what everyone thinks I should do going forward. So we bought my son a puppy for Christmas. Last night I went down to check the plants and the babies in the veg tent needed some water. I had left the puppy upstairs with our other dog, but I knew it would take longer than I wanted to leave a new puppy unattended so I grabbed the puppy and took him down to water with me.

I had an incident where a pot fell and as I was fixing that issue I lost sight of the puppy and turned around to see him chewing on the main stem of one of the plants with all the leaves on the floor around it. So needless to say the plant is destroyed. My question is this. Those plants were originally germinated about 3 weeks ago, am I better off just vegging the 5 that I have out a little longer/training them a little bit or trying to start a replacement that will be 3 weeks behind the rest?

Again just curious what some of you more experienced folks thought. My brother gave me a couple beans for Christmas so I have some I kinda want to pop anyway, but don't want to do it if it's just going to be a logistical nightmare with it being so far behind the rest. Anyway appreciate any thoughts/advice.

I would veg the 5 longer unless you want to dedicate a longer time which the 5 will be vegged to pop and grow new.
I have plants that are 2-3 weeks different, and it is substantial IMO.
I have only one grow area, so I want to wait till the last ones I popped are big enough IMO before flip.
I like to veg longer than most probably so maybe flipping at 4 weeks or something low is not a big deal.
To me I feel vegging for longer is how you get bigger plants, without some major change in grow strategy?
Cute pup for sure~! It will not be his only incident, I am sure.

Some people grow 12/12 from start so maybe if you don't care how long you veg new seeds you could experiment.
