Happy Friday Steamy!Happy Friday all~!
I worked til midnight last night. I’ve got ten lbs of potato salad made up a cucumber salad and a couple of huge bowls of Cole slaw. Smokers banging this morning, got the meat in round ten last night. Everyone is due round 12:30-1:00. This morning I’m throwing a peach cobbler in the oven. Then, imma just sit, crank up the music and enjoy a good joint.Started work at 5a.m.
Done by 9a.m.
Got no excuse not to be up potting.
Make sure you test for quality~!Such a good mood, decided to make this right now for a friend who's been asking for one View attachment 101839

It’s a big deal. National championship that only eighty people in four classes are chosen for. Imma make it happen!Sorry for your husband's pain. That was a horrible injury. Must only be tough people living in your house. Gotta admire your determination to carry the extra load and continue with the original agenda. It's easy to imagine a lot of people in your shoes deciding to drop the shoot, just to free up some time.
Hope the hail didn't damage any young veggies and/or flowers. We have more rain headed our way. I still hear people at gas stations, grocery (old word, I know) store, etc. saying, "Well, we need some rain." Blows my mind. Ground is soaked and creeks a running high.
PS- The old adage about mounting right back up when you get thrown only applies to horses... not mowers.
I’m actually doing well, ugly bruise and a sore leg, but I’m still getting around making it all happen. Never give in or up, right?Damn CG, I hope all is good now. So sorry to hear about your escapades of pain and suffering. Only the young...huh? Here's wishing you a better week, filled with painless joy and relaxation. I know you won't slow down, but I hope it's without further harm to you and yours. Have a better week.
With the location, I figured it was a big one. I didn't imagine it was this BIG, though. Congratulations for making the cut. Good luck! It’s a big deal. National championship that only eighty people in four classes are chosen for. Imma make it happen!
The hail beat the snot outta my trees. It has rained so much here, I’m beginning to wonder WTH is going on. Raining right now as a matter of fact.

Wildlife sanctuaries are all the rage. Tall grasses and wildflowers are in.Granny, sorry to hear about your hubby, hope he heals without complications and gets well soon!!!!! happy thought on that one for sure!!!

Thanks! I work for itYes! Congratulations on being better than most!
Couldn’t find any plants just seeds. Lots of seed scams even on Amazon. I really like the idea and don’t get many bugs but nats do get in now and then. Unfortunately I don’t think I’d be able to keep it alive over the winter. Wonder if petsmart carries flies?Hey Gday, here's a trick that looks interesting a gnat eating plantView attachment 101962
I copy pasted his statement on these off a Reddit link
"Cape sundews are fungus gnat catching machines, the are literally a live yellow sticky trap that can grow & eat the gnats and last indefinitely without need for new trap replacements , a typical cape sundew can be had for 10$ and worth every single penny.
Is prolific from seed and propagation , one 10$ investment can start a whole lifetime IPM program for F gnats that’s extremely effective beyond yellow stickies."
