But motorcycle trips for hot buffalo wings and craft beer, I remember them!

The best chicken fried steak will always be in Texas. Just a fact of science. Same goes for chili though New Mexico is on point too.
One of the best spots for CFS until around 2010 was a truck stop down the road. Now it's at roadside stops in rural towns on the way to someplace else. Little hidden gems in towns like Hunt and Elgin. Small towns nobody has heard of. City CFS is meh. I avoid it like I do city bbq. Gotta go out to the sticks for that good food.
The Pappas family does run some very good restaurants. Pappas Bros Steaks is one. There's a Pappadeux here which is Creole and Cajun and very good. I get that for my bday most years. It's expensive but man their gumbo and etouffee is some of the best I've had. I also get their fried softshell crab and make crab poboys with their baguettes. So good!!!

I'll never eat a an Ihop again. Did that 3x and every time was very bad. Last time there my wife ordered a salad and the waitress put it up under a heat lamp then ducked out back to hit a crack pipe. She came back in, argued with the boss who I aslo think was a crackhead, then just leaned up against a wall high AF. On our bill she wrote that we complained about the tea. We didn't and that was weird. That was the final straw for me and Ihop.
Denny's is ok. We have a retro Denny's made to look like something from the 1950s but it's usually packed with strung out junkies and they beg others to buy food for them. Just not an enjoyable experience for diner food and the other Denny's here is not much better.

Waffle House is just a roll of the dice. Food is always good and the cooks are trained very well but you never know what might happen or what sort of conversation you may overhear while you eat. It can be the dodgy walmart of diners for sure.

Man you got some great action in that brewer! True vortex man!!! And it looks all baddass too. Like Mad Max rebuilt R2D2 into a tea brewer!

Mmmn shoofly pie! Ya know I made a fan of those...Last year I ordered a two pack from an Amish bakery and gave one pie away to a single Mom neighbor who needed some help thru the holidays. Her and her kids loved that pie and never knew such a thing even existed!

thats how i've been doing it, the foam was killing me, the vortex isn't as bad... still had foam but not terrible, i have one idea that may contain it a little better but i need to print out an adapter, might have to wait till next tea making to try it out.. still work in progress..

is it just me or have wing joints gone downhill over the past ten years? maybe it's just me and my taste. wings got so expensive that it made me perfect my boneless wing recipe now i get real wings and i don't like them as much as the breast cuts now. i miss this killer place called junkanoos back in the day. i still strive to eat/make wings that good again, sadly don't think i ever will.

yeah pappadeux was the seafood place.. had killer softshells there!! i did once have thee best etouffe in TX.. somewhere near houston, this dude at TI suggested i got there, he said it was some chef at a famous place that got fed up and quit and then started his own place in a train car!! very cool ambiance and like i said the crawfish etouffe was so good i don't think i'll ever eat it again because i want that one to be my last it was that damn good!!!

i went looking for some lobster pieces at my local grocery store today... couldn't find any but ii scored a couple of these crab stuffed mushrooms... they only had two though, i would have bought six!!!



so we'll be eating those tomorrow for sure!!!!! have to find something good to go with em... steak or pork maybe.. idk yet..

Thanks guys!!! they're exceeding all my expectations so happy on this end.

i have a list of changes i want to make after this round to make it better but i won't be going back to the turntable and cages anytime soon. sip, maybe... but honestly it's not tough at all this way, watering and feeding is pretty simple, not as ez as SIP.. i mean i'm lazy but not that lazy!!! haha

i have some new light clips coming tomorrow and i should be able to get another 3+ inches of headroom because i'm worried about a few branches being too close.. if i'm still worried after i put them in i might give those branches the ol kink a roo like the other two i supercropped.

i don't really like to do that this late in flowering but it's better than torching the buds useless.

I freshened up the veg cabinet a little... took out the SIP manifold and decking then i put up some new mylar, hung a stripper fan pole, and picked up a $17 tray. I plan to veg eight plants and flower six. i like when you guys have that option going into flowering and i'd like that too...



here is the lineup for the next round, i'm going to start two of each. in the event of the ARC being duds again i will sub in the dotz...

oreoz - gorilla glue 4 - banana punch - alien rock candy



this will give me the chance to actually test the newest germinator with hinges and latches, i've tested the hinges hundreds of times now but the latches have no testing at all yet, and i also added numbers to the inside. i'm not sure anyone but me will actually use these..





i thought i could keep a legend or just list it here for reference.

i hope to mix up the soil and start the seeds this weekend but it's almost thursday already so no promises. hehe

i should be okay on the timing, i'll need to keep these in here for four to five weeks so i'm just not sure how the 275 will do at five weeks... should be good, but i have been peeking at ebay for a used 275 to double up... we'll see... i just know if i continue to grow in rounds like this i'll probably tighten up the schedule which means growing them bigger in the veg cab. i've vegged with it before so i think i'll be fine. i'm gonna find out thats for sure!!! hehehe

Numbers are good. I’d write down which spot my seeds are in for each strain in my journal. Cleaner look than tape. So a useful if not necessary improvement IMO.

yeah i'm not even sure why i was sweating the 275 not being enough, it's always been enough before and i'm only gonna ask it to do less so i'm pretty sure i'll be fine, but if not i have a back up plan in the works anyway.

i got a bunch of stuff done early this morning and then had to get my state inspection done on my truck... i think i might have to find a new mechanic... ... when he wasn't looking i nut rubbed that autographed hat!!!



after that i had some extra free time so i got all the soil ready for the new batch.. i picked up some granular myco/tric from k4L so i wanted to mix everything up a head of time to get the microbes teaming up. the soil i picked up is lighter than i'm used to so i watered it in with some roots trinity just to keep it moist enough to fill the airpots without it falling out too quick. I'm gonna go with the #1 size like you did this round. mine are the reds and yellow bottom wraps so they're a little longer than the #1's so i'm just gonna put the bottoms in a few nipple rounds up from the bottom, plus it will be a built in plant riser for my tray!!

i haven't assembled the airpots yet... still debating if i want to fill in the second row of holes first... right now i'm leaning against it. i plan to use the drip halos again so i don't think i should even go through the hassle. i think i'm just gonna set the bottoms in so i have about 3/4 of what the red bottoms contain. i'll measure one out but i have a feeling it won't really be like the real airpot #1 in volume size anyway, just diameter.

i'm gonna drop the seeds here in a bit, i cut the paper towels like you showed in your VG thread, i put one folded cut to size bounty paper towel on each side of the center wavy piece (AKA smokey and the bandit III) and i'm gonna have to warm the rez up cuz it's kinda chilli here right now... oh BTW, i'm taking the biggest bong rips i can all night tonight and blowing them south west hoping it creates a vortex of wind and carries some of our cool air down there... high of 75 today and dipping down to 53 tonight!!! got all the windows open now!!

once i get the seeds ready tonight i'll post what slots are what strain to have em documented.. but yeah i really hope the ARC works out, i'm squirrel stashing some of the OG to compare it to.. if the rest of these seeds are all duds i will just smoke it all up and leave it in the past!!! and never buy from dr blaze ever again..

started another batch of tea again, i put another water jug on top of the main one to be a foam catcher... been a few hours and now and i think i figured out why it failed last time. i think i just simply overfilled it. this one here has been running for five hours now and looks fine, but man if it didn't look like a syfy robot before it sure does now!!!



but the foam is not bad at all when i leave room for air inside... last time it looked like this in a couple hours...



so yeah i think just a gallon less water and it seems to be fine. this is three gallons right now. i'll know more tomorrow, it should be ready to use around 8pm. if that top jug is still clean and nothing oozes out then i will make the top hole a little bigger and ditch the top jug. i want the hole bigger just so it's easier to fill no other reason. i bought this jumbo sized unibit for it, i didn't know they even made them this big...



just getting a little stackin' action... this zangria smells like a box of fruity pebbles!!!!! i know the terps usually change as it matures but so far it's got my tail waggin!! the sugar fairy is even hittin the fans a little already!!!

These are the weeks I think I make my move in the pool. Jimmie Johnson at the end will fuck me but I really like my picks to close the season out. I still have Brisky with a win at Roval but yeah I like where the 14 team is headed right now too.
#5 is just all over the place...Literally! Man that guy races a ton!
I saw the Indy car reveal he had last week and damn near ordered the diecast right then and there after the announcement. Gonna wiat though and just visit the Hendricks hauler at COTA next Spring.
I was happy to see Gragson get out of his Legacy contract. That team is dead to me now. I like Eric Jones and JJ's a good guy, sucks what happened earlier this year with his family, but as far as I'm concerned Legacy and Petty can fuck off
IDK if NG goes back to JRM & Xfinity or what now. Only 25 so he does have some growing to do but he's a good driver and needs to be racing. I'll be one of the first in line for his new team gear giving him support.

About a block and a half over there's a dive Mexican food joint only open for breakfast and lunch but the old lady in there cranks out some of the best flour and corn 'tillas I've ever had!!! man i couldn't agree with you more on the whole legacy team shit.. talk about totally trashing a respected brand like petty. JJ and his wife really screwed that organization all up. and i as well will be supporting anything gragson gets into. with the playoffs about to start i wouldn't expect to hear much public news about him the rest of this year. unless there's an injury and a team gets desperate. not everyone will want to hire josh berry as a sub. i wish him the best!!

so saturday i tested out the VG... working great so far!! there is even extra room inside if you wanted more towels or have thicker ones... my only complaint was the rez so i re drew it and printed out a better one that didn't leak!!!

i have all eight seeds in there right now, i think i put them in saturday night so i'll check em out tonight in a bit... i put them on a heat mat and under the light. i would normally use my dtv box but i thought about what you said in the VG tread and decided to put a light above them.





i also picked up some veg nutes because the only ones i have are old so i decided to give this a try (it used to be called natures pride)... it has a lot of stuff that i like in it and i'll be making tea with it so we'll see how that works out....





and my tea brewer worked great with the foam, just a tiny bit came out and i think with the new bigger hole and a small chimney i can control it just fine!!!



and one last update.....

something i've wanted for a very long time and finally upgraded..... gonna need a paint job for sure, but with a gauge... fuck yeah!!!!

That's so cool you have a pressure gauge on that jack. I've looked at adding one to mine but there's some hang ups...#1 is getting the jack out of the housing without destroying anything. #2 is I'd have to take it to a machine shop to drill the hole and thread it with a tap & dye. I just don't have the tools to do that.

Are those the resized airpots?

I am just not seeing the fans like before or the big name sponsors. Something is cutting into their popularity, might just be the future of Motorsport with all the electric cars and bikes.

This is my first full season into it as last year I got into it after going to COTA and getting hooked. In one year I've gone to 5 races already and will do the 6th next month.
There's a changing of the guard so to speak with the sport. The good ol boys of yesteryear don't like the new stuff, be it the cars or tracks, and are staying home or not watching but with that comes new fans like me and my wife who had believed stereotypes until we went to a race. The world changed as we knew it that day.
Attendance depends greatly on the track from what I've seen. All Texas races I've been to have had huge crowds if not sold out. Chicago was nuts with the crowd size and Pocono looked packed. I think it was Richmond where a crowd looked thin on TV.
It doesn't seem like there's a lot of money in the sport but those TV deals and purses at 6,7,8 million are surprising.

COTA and Chicago are definitely for 1st time fans and when they show up, they get hooked on it. So that's been my thing this past year and a half is telling people to go to a race and see. The several who did come back hooked.
I like every part of it but short track racing is my least fave and The Clash in LA is pretty lame. But big tracks, super speedways, and road racing gets me going and excited. Road course racing might be my fave just because it's so crazy and wild. The different strategies and etiquette each track offers is really fun to watch. It's not perfect, like I'm not a fan of stage cautions, and I doubt it ever will make everybody happy but we have a blast watching this insanity every week now.
I also like a lot of the drivers, especially the youngsters aside from Gibbs. I'm looking forward to the next wave of drivers too who will replace the Busches and Harvicks of the sport in coming years. So yep, transition all around the sport for a few more years to come before thing kinda settle in

I had the same problem with a 3D printed leaky rez. I made it at 100% infill to so not sure WTF happened.

That's so cool you have a pressure gauge on that jack. I've looked at adding one to mine but there's some hang ups...#1 is getting the jack out of the housing without destroying anything. #2 is I'd have to take it to a machine shop to drill the hole and thread it with a tap & dye. I just don't have the tools to do that.

my rez problem was it was too thin, i thickened it up and all good now!!!

that jack was almost a necessity.. see i have all those tools and the know how to use them, my problem was i put the hole in the wrong part of the jack and then while trying to fix my mistake i created a leak and the jack never worked the same since i would have to clean all the oil up each time... no bueno!!!

so once i move all the RC stuff i have pilled in front of the press because i can't use it. i'll swap it out... it will actually look a little cleaner when it's done... and once i paint it black!!! hehehe

man i was kind of torn on what to do for airpots... i had eight yellow bottoms in the shed for over five years collecting dust so i made the decision to cut them... so they are tall like the reds and i made them fit just smaller diameter than the reds and also go one notch further to make them the same diameter as the orange bottoms. so depending on what row i start with they can be oranges or a little bigger than orange. then i just put the bottoms a few rows up to make them a little shorter because they are so tall... see i listen when you talk!! haha

so i'll give it try and find out in a couple months if it was the right move...

nascar is always gonna change... if you like the sport you almost have to embrace the changes. i wasn't sure how i would like stage racing when it came out.. i love it!! more restarts.. that's what i like the best, the restarts!!! i didn't like the past two weeks of an hour and a half racing with no cautions. for one it's too hard on the drivers, two it's not competitive at all only one or two cars have a chance, and three damn i need a smoke break!!!! especially at road races where there are few full coarse cautions to start with.. do that at bristol where it don't matter if there are stage breaks or not.. they just brought stage breaks into the sport now they're taking them back out already, somebody in charge not doing a good job seems desperate to me!!

If you enjoy Nascar you might like World of Outlaws Sprint car races. They are a blast and the racing is IMO on parr or better than Nascar.

As far as the Nascar and the changing of the guard thing. I think that is probably an accurate statement. Fontana or (fontucky) as some put is, is being redesigned from what a 2 mile oval to I believe a short course. To me it seems like Nascar is trying to combine several forms of racing to reinvent itself. The road courses I can see the Aussie Super Cars, in the added road courses. More tracks going smaller is also a change. I do hope they are successful. IRL has had its struggles over the last decade or so and seems to be gaining stem, also F1 showing up at so many venues is also cutting into Nascar. COTA was added in the last 5 years, FA I believe they have been there 2 years and now Las Vegas this year.

It's funny you mentioned the restarts because I was thinking about that Sunday. I'd like to see maybe a restart after stage 2 but keep stage one green. I like both side of that coin..the restarts and green flag pit stops so if there's a way to get both I'll be very happy. The madness on pit row and then chatting it up with a few of those guys in Chicago makes me want to see them involved and under pressure. Like Suarez's crew and that air hose under the tire. He all but had that race won until that so I love how every little thing matters and how a pit stop can make or break a day.

I have a sub to Flosports and get to see a lot of Sprint and late model dirt racing. Love that stuff especially the late models and I wanna get to a live track to see those up close. One day maybe even make it up to the Chili Bowl

IRL is hooking me in too especially with Larson in the Indy 500 next year. I need to set my DVR up better to get them recorded because I'm missing most of those races.
MotoGP is also on my radar since they come to COTA and tix are cheap. There's also a Ferrari racing league that comes to COTA and those are free for spectators and there's other leagues who come to race there as well.
I really want to get into F1 but it's making it hard for me. Tix to go see those races are so far out of my price range for entertainment it's not funny at all. $500+ for a shitty spot on the grass and if you want a seat, it's $1500 each for the cheapies and up to $10K for a box seat. On top of that, parking is $150 and concessions are the $12 beer/$10 hotdog kinda deals.
Same seat for the cup race is $90 and NXS & Truck is only $45 for both, along with free parking and I can bring in a backpack cooler.
The F1 TV broadcast reminds me of horse racing the way they fancy it up. I like racing dirty and stinky with a little crazy redneck thrown in so I think that's why I love stock car racing. And IDK why but when Dale Jr gets all excited and hoppy, it gets me going too haha! Love that guy at the track every Sunday doing his thing

Yes the prices for spectators is over the top. I think Monaco is even more. It is out of my price league as well. But I do like the way they do not put up with BS from the teams or drivers. Cost of an F1 car are insane, a few years back the Nascar guys were hiring all the F1 guys they could find. I do not think that is still the same thing. F1 has a budget cap and it gets dirty, It is going to get worse because F1 teams are using other forms of racing to develop their cars. I kind of like the traffic in the pits.
Red Bull is so far ahead of the remainder of the field it is not funny. In the spring at Monaco Perez crashed into the wall and they lift all the wrecks off the race course. Every team got a really good look at the ground effects on the red bull, not a great day for Red Bull. Before the summer break Mc Claren came out with an upgrade. It was a copy of the floor of the Red Bull. That hurt Red Bull but their lead is pretty large at this time.

we had local F1 track here for years. it was so much fun that weekend, the area would pretty much shut down for the whole week and just party!! that track would have all kinds of racing, stock car ,f1, midgets, motorcycles... pretty much anything. they shut down 15 years or more now... we used to sneak in and run our street cars on the track!!! i miss that place!!

talk about fast pit stops though, those F1 guys know how to get it done!! pressurized fuel, single car jacks.. freakin badass!!! not to mention they create more downforce than they actually weigh. theoretically they could drive upside down!!! imagine that kind of racing... puts a new meaning to head to head!!

i'd luv to drive one!!!

I made some new drip halos for my new batch of eight. the other ones were too big and i didn't draw them so they were very difficult to modify, so i started from scratch and made my own. these print all in one piece and i also printed out matching color tube clamps and this time i made them all a different color...

Based on what you are saying you would really enjoy Sprint Cars or Midgets. I really enjoyed the times I had around them. When I was like 13 or so I went to my first Midget race. My neighbor sold tires so I would go with him and help out and make a couple bucks. He would have me take out the studs they would use to keep the tire from spinning on the rim and stuff. Later I got a job in high school working at at a sprint and midget chassis shop. I was basically the janitor and I would roll up the welding rigs and sweep up the shop. No one was really around because there was a fab building and a car building shop so I kind of had the place to myself. I taught myself how to Tig Weld and I remember I was making aluminum wheels for my ucontrol model air plane and the neighbor from across the street came in when I was cutting the second wheel. He is like what the F are you doing. You cannot be doing that so he made me stop. I would go to the races and work on the company car. I was getting my pit pass one time and an official asked me how old I was and he said you got to be 18 to be in the pits so I ended up in the stands that race. After that we would get off the freeway a couple off ramps before the track and I would jump in the trailer and sneak into the pits. I had to clean the car, not fun on a dirt track, fuel the car and change the rear gear. Sprint cars and Midgets run on menthenol so they eat like 30 to 40 gallon in a main for a sprint car.

no, i didn't have any pink.. when i switched from red to white i left some in the nozzle hoping it would make pink for ya but it didn't really work.



but man that purple and green i got is gonna make some great halloween stuff!!!!! hey i was pretty shocked that i actually had eight different colors!!! those are all in + too!!!

looks like shit, none of the couplers fit right, the springs are to weak, it's still a pita to use... about the only cool thing is the release knob i printed!!! haha

so i spent some time on it... rearranged everything, and gave it a slick paint job...



then i called in pimp my squisher and they made it a mean mean squishin machine!!!!!!



complete with two speed pump action, pressure gauge, magnetic parchment holder, lighting, and oh yeah a fuckin war chain!!!!!!

can't wait to take it for a test drive and make some goo!!!!!

The thing is the barrel rolls absorb energy so now I realized barrel rolls can be a good thing. But that was pretty violent. Back when I would go to the track that was before Hanz devices and what was killing guys was going into the wall backwards. I believe that is what killed Dale SR.

i'm going to add a set of springs to help open it up a little faster, it's fine for just doing one press and wait but for back to back it tool some muscle to pull the piston down. i gotta pick up some hardware tomorrow and it should work better.

i'm going to add a set of springs to help open it up a little faster, it's fine for just doing one press and wait but for back to back it tool some muscle to pull the piston down. i gotta pick up some hardware tomorrow and it should work better.

not that it don't already look like ice (kudos brother!) , but man i'd love to get my da polisher on that!!!!

so i got a new toy alert... a couple weeks ago i was talking about if the 275 could veg out my plants long enough. i still think it could but i went out looking for a second 275, couldn't find one used at all but scored a crazy good deal on this gem in showroom condition!!



everything works on it, it was dropped for sure... battle tested maybe.. idk but for $123 i took a chance!!! i think it's a second gen, you would know better than me but it has the higher kelvin color white where my other two have the hps yellow looking white.



now i have the flexibility to do whatever i want. i could even flower in that cabinet too if i wanted to.

it's the second day of week two for the new batch...



and the first day of week seven for the old batch....











had a few crashed against the wall so i got to use a couple yoyos!!! more like yeah yeahs!! they work great so far.
