I had a demo CD a friend of mine gave me that was a producer and also had his own band of these guys. I think it was from 2001 - 2002. Paul kept telling me these guys were going to end Green Day. Guess not.

Paul was in a band called The Replacements.

I'll never forget the first time I saw these guys. Mitch and Co walk out on stage, and I'm thinking "great, here's some pussy emo band getting ready to cry." Then they proceeded to brutally melt my face off. They weren't even big back then, they were opening for someone else at the Sunshine Theater in Albuquerque, NM. IIRC tickets for the show were only like $15 so whoever they were opening for wasn't that big either.
