I used to use Starbursts on the wood rats at my grandparents.
I've also used shredded pork, lunch meat, all different kinds of stuff.
Change it up every day, something will make him slip and hell kill himself.

yea thanks man, thats a good plan.. i have just been trying with a standard trap but i'm going to put another two kinds and have three different size and type. and i'll bait each one a little different.. one with protein, carbs, and sweets!!! hehe

i have some super stinky coyote bait i might try..

I'm not usually one for sticky traps buuuut.
You could put some black oil sunflower seeds in the middle of a XL sticky trap and that outta do it or ya.
 
I have many different traps out in the shop.

I got 3 little 'have a heart' that catches mice and chippie's~!
Tried the little electric one last year and it was no good?

it's one of the three line ups... been new in box for years and i never used one. i'll monitor it very frequently and an trying to rig up a motion camera to monitor.. i'm not trying to be a jerk about it but i want that thing out of my wall and not near my power wires.. it can live free all it wants outside, not inside!!!

ya know i've tried those electric ones too... it sucked! i do have a couple HaH traps in brought in. i have an access that it will fin in but it's on the other side of the house.. shouldn't matter if i make it smell good enough,, it's all open up there.

here's a video pf my dilemma.. any ideas?

One day I was dumping some trash into my trash cans when I heard a slither and looked down to find a 6 ft snake about 10ft from me. It startled me so I backed up slowly and watched him slither away but he slithered under the house. I was a little apprehensive about having a 6 ft snake under the house so the next day I was talking to my neighbor and she had book that showed the local wildlife and I saw that the snake was a rat snake. My neighbor asked me if I'd ever seen rat droppings in my pantry and I said no. She said be thankful you have a snake under your house controlling the rat population.

no, just the underside of the roof. one small access about 8" x 12" and that small hole behind the tin.. i would have to take down and unhook my house fan and that is reserved for emergency reason only.

Put a small speaker up there and play punk rock for a few days rodents hate punk.i recommend rancid or nofx street light manifesto is good too.I buried a small speaker in a tupawear a few sumers ago the shrews and moles hated it and moved to a different part of the yard.if you use traps they can't resist peanut oil,and it will stay on the traps for up to a year without reapplication. Put some 5 gallon bucket traps on the the four corners of your house to get them before they come in .peanut oil for the win

Cheese was never a great success. Peanut butter was usually good, surprised it’s ignoring it.

Sunflower seeds work great in my traps. Maybe get unshelled sunflower seeds and squish it into a pulp?

I had a mouse chew through a bag and then a wrapper to get to chocolate. 🤷‍♂️

You have that access hole…cat on a rope? 🤣

If you know it’s path put/make sticky traps. A few schools a buddy is a caretaker at swear by them.

Since I stopped working about 12 years ago I get up at 9am unless I have something I have to get to early then I'll set an alarm but 9 am is a good time to rise and shine, or in our case here rise to the gloom. Our cats will start yapping if we sleep later, they know our routine and can tell time, it starts with 1, then 2 then they start chasing each other on our bed or attacking our toes...yep time to get up

Got my Captain Redbeard seeds today [ Oregon Grapes].
He also sent me 4 freebie Tangie Dreams seeds also.
Can't wait to start these.
Just need to get the room completely emptied and ready before I germ.
That and pick some running mates to go with them and the Luv Shack Tropicana Cherry clones.
I am about a whole month behind being timely with my grows.
Hence Slacker. ;)
