Yes, that’s the big one they used to use. But the other I recall in a commercial too. Just don’t remember who’s.

Back then a lot of companies jumped on the hippie bandwagon with commercials like that. Chiclets gum, Doublemint gum, Pepsi and others.

Hell, most of us grew up thinking Santa always looked like how Coke depicted him in the commercials.

Before all that I only heard these songs in early school years or at camp around the fire.

Ya, one reason I soured on the internet and computers in general. Algorithms are used for everything now. But mostly to sell you shit you don’t really need for as much as they can.

I don’t have a Amazon account. I use an anonymous browser. But if the exit point is used by a lot of people the algorithm thinks it’s the same person. So I get crossed results.

I always by local first, I like to see and check items out before I buy it. But if I have no other choice I’ll ask my son or a friend to grab it for me.

Same goes for things that become political. If I need it and I can’t get it from a local source you do what you have to do. I’ll sacrifice but I won’t cut off my nose to spite my face. 🤷‍♂️

I had at least half a dozen computers on my home network. Did a little test with the kids. Only two prices matched out of six searches all using the exact same item link. Biggest spread was over $50, average was about $25 iirc. This was around 2010.

A lot of people move north to retire. Cheaper taxes and utilities. But then you have to pay to play if you want or need anything. Amazon fills that gap but takes more advantage of it as time goes on and they learn how far they can go without losing to many customers.

Not as bad as you yet, but getting there. Rain keeps missing us, just enough falling to make it even more humid. Basement sounds like an airport with all the fan action. 🤣

Neil Young? Buffalo Springfield? come on people now stand with your brothers and love one another......right now.....right now...67 San Fransisco stuff .....I was just a touch late for that scene man I missed the groove by...that much...still groovy man...lol

Granny, pardon the expression but you are a fking artiste. You make those? How long does it take for you to make those up? Much better than straight boring white light. I imagine it prism's through the glass pieces

lol I was 4 when this came out, I just have a very strange ability to remember songs and the words. Hundreds of thousands of them actually. (Cept punk rock, I hate that beating banging bullshit) A useless talent. I laugh and say when my days are done, I’m going to be took aboard something and downloaded 😆😂
Now, with that said..nevermind I can’t remember why I went upstairs.

Awwww thanks! I’ve spent three days on this one. I think I’m getting buzzed offa the glue! lol. The sun behind these pieces light them up like crazy! They throw some of the most gorgeous light ever!

Yeah, but its not commercials I recall.

I can recall the music, the words as he sings them, his timber of voice, but as soon as I read the last word of the song you posted it’s gone and I have no idea what the next part of the lyrics is.

I’ve helped with a few of these projects. Think I still have a half cleaned four panel frame in the garage.

Never added the shallow dishes though, nice touch.

Coloured glass from the lakes. Coloured glass/beads. Flowers. Maybe a glass coaster as a focal point or heart of a flower. Part of a sunset/sunrise. Wife and daughter do/did this type of art.

I was more carving and wood work. Old hunting knives and pocket knives. Got a chisel set but do recall using it. Lol
