Yea, I pretty much stopped using Amazon. Only in extreme cases, do I use it. I actually go to the manufacturer website and pay for shipping, just so I feel better. I'd rather pay for shipping rather than support Amazon.

its just too easy, I know I shouldn't support the fk but its here in 2 -3 days click click...knock knock....beat that and I'll quit supporting.

since the first day i signed up i turned on the family settings so we all get the prime benefits.. thats some shit.. i thought i was getting something good from it, here i'm just getting screwed! lovely!

I have an upstairs comp and a downstairs comp. Upstairs is more secure than this one.This an old pc I don't do any business on, no amzon or other vendors and the 2 aren't linked. I've research prices on line down here gone up to buy after signing in and the item has changed its price or dropped the special offer box, not always but often enough to piss me off. I've also put sales items in my cart gone back to the cart a day or 2 later and the price has changed, they remove that $10-$15- discount check box and alter the price.

And still I buy off them, Where would I get widgets and shit delivered in 2-3 days without them? 1745936519370.png

Where? Where can I buy a ph pen, nutrients, humidifiers, fans, Scrog nets locally? Living out in the boonies makes local shopping more difficult and it all has to be ordered in from out of the province. Shops here seem to keep very little stock but we can haver here for you in a week or 2 is a typical response.

I'd love an alternative but they have everything and it gets shipped fast. The only problem is the Ahole running it. Still he made a great shopping site that's tough to beat

i'm in the same boat, where am i gonna go to get the same things? some aren't even offered local never mind the fuel and wear n tear on the trucks. nothing here is within walking distance, hell my mailbox is a mile away on a dirt road! haha

i could go back to ebay but then i have to deal with my post office which might be the worst in the country.

and i don't really travel often so it's not like i can say oh i'll just stop here or there... it's always a special trip!

it's like they got me right where they want me!!!!
 
I am sorry to hear that. I live in NY, in the boonies. I have local hydro shops everywhere. I have to travel a minimum of 45 minutes to get anywhere. Some are better than others. For example, Rice Hulls are best purchased from HTG, as no one else has the organic and cleaned product. And if your looking for high end instruments etc. I go to Sunset Hydro.

Gotta go...major storm hit, no power. Be back later to finish my thoughts.

Yes, that’s the big one they used to use. But the other I recall in a commercial too. Just don’t remember who’s.

Back then a lot of companies jumped on the hippie bandwagon with commercials like that. Chiclets gum, Doublemint gum, Pepsi and others.

Hell, most of us grew up thinking Santa always looked like how Coke depicted him in the commercials.

Before all that I only heard these songs in early school years or at camp around the fire.

I should say can have 2 different prices, we did that last Christmas as a test and all was same. Ya, one reason I soured on the internet and computers in general. Algorithms are used for everything now. But mostly to sell you shit you don’t really need for as much as they can.

I don’t have a Amazon account. I use an anonymous browser. But if the exit point is used by a lot of people the algorithm thinks it’s the same person. So I get crossed results.

I always by local first, I like to see and check items out before I buy it. But if I have no other choice I’ll ask my son or a friend to grab it for me.

Same goes for things that become political. If I need it and I can’t get it from a local source you do what you have to do. I’ll sacrifice but I won’t cut off my nose to spite my face. 🤷‍♂️

I had at least half a dozen computers on my home network. Did a little test with the kids. Only two prices matched out of six searches all using the exact same item link. Biggest spread was over $50, average was about $25 iirc. This was around 2010.

A lot of people move north to retire. Cheaper taxes and utilities. But then you have to pay to play if you want or need anything. Amazon fills that gap but takes more advantage of it as time goes on and they learn how far they can go without losing to many customers.

lol I was 4 when this came out, I just have a very strange ability to remember songs and the words. Hundreds of thousands of them actually. (Cept punk rock, I hate that beating banging bullshit) A useless talent. I laugh and say when my days are done, I’m going to be took aboard something and downloaded 😆😂
Now, with that said..nevermind I can’t remember why I went upstairs.

Awwww thanks! I’ve spent three days on this one. I think I’m getting buzzed offa the glue! lol. The sun behind these pieces light them up like crazy! They throw some of the most gorgeous light ever!

Yeah, but its not commercials I recall.

I can recall the music, the words as he sings them, his timber of voice, but as soon as I read the last word of the song you posted it’s gone and I have no idea what the next part of the lyrics is.
