Day off and still woke up before 4am...Morning yall, my kids let me sleep in til 10 am....I feel like I'm in a time warp...what is this unrecognizable place where I actually have energy?
Dude i normally have that same internal clock that just makes me get up. I remember my roofing days...that career will make you an early riser no matter whatDay off and still woke up before 4am...
I love the early morning and watching the sunrise from wherever I am that day.
53 here tonight, pretty nippy for July...Man it’s cold on my front porch tonight. A cup of hot coffee, a long sleeved shirt and thinking about socks..
No kidding! Crazy weather for July! Currently 58* down here in my valley!53 here tonight, pretty nippy for July...

It takes quite a bit to truly get the middle finger from me. Hell I flip my friends off, you might get the middle finger because you are a buddy....the serious firm middle finger is a hard thing to get from me![]()

The Amish & E-bikes - Amish America
I don't know if it was just coincidence, but two stories on the Amish and e-bikes came out last week on the same day - one on Amish in Ohio, and the other on Iowa (that can't be coincidence, I'm thinking). If you're not familiar, e-bikes are bicycles fitted with an electric motor which provideamishamerica.com
Ya they are pretty relaxed here in Grabill. They all have phones. Own cars and tractors.a couple of my younger friends secretly have thier drivers license. That's why all the Amish cars have super tinted windows.lol.Every community has a little different lifestyle/rules - here ya see them driving e bikes and skidsteers/bobcat to the store as well as horse and carriage
We had 25c warm and humid. Like sitting in the tent at lights out. Night before was perfect at 18c. At least no rain.Man it’s cold on my front porch tonight. A cup of hot coffee, a long sleeved shirt and thinking about socks..

That hibiscus is 34 years old. I bring it in for the winter and out for the summer. I blooms all winter about one bloom a weekI miss our hibiscus. I knew it wouldn’t make it through winter but it flowered until snow fall. Big orange flowers. About the size of yours.
Wifey hasn’t bought any flowers this year. Prices got nuts fast this year. We cut back but yard looks empty of colour compared to past years.
We used to party with a couple guys in the 80’s and they kept a car hidden in a corn field then snuck out on fweekends . - and there’s some super nice places now with solar everything but TV crazyYa they are pretty relaxed here in Grabill. Last thing I brought in gave me aphids. Not happening again unless I get a much better quarantine area. That hibiscus is 34 years old. I bring it in for the winter and out for the summer. I blooms all winter about one bloom a week

I'll bet things went down hill when Marty and Wendy Byrde moved into the area.We deal with people all summer long. Tourists destination. It’s always way too peopley around here.
But, ya welcome here on my front porch, no people. I try to keep it that wayView attachment 14729
Not when hunting waterfowl. Wind at your back or a cross wind.you are correct but, i was hunting wasps.
and when hunting you always want the wind in your face.
so now we have a dilemma.
funny how seemingly simple choices in your everyday life can make such a big difference later in life.
i spent time in jail once because i turned right instead of left.
life turned out great because of that, married to a awesome woman and 2 fantastic grown kids and a really well paying job.
had i turned left who knows where i'd be?
sorry i rambled on there.
8 beer will do that to me
They are way north of my area. Lol People in my part of the Ozarks have no money to hide.I'll bet things went down hill when Marty and Wendy Byrde moved into the area.
Been just Beautiful here 75 -80 and mostly sunny except when storm pops up but that gets over quick and back at it. Today was a little of everything, First farmers market for the best tamales around then fishing, swimming and doing some work in between like defoliating and spraying. Just a perfect dayMan what a gorgeous evening on the porch tonight. Temp is reading 88* but there is no humidity. Makes that eighty eight not so darn bad.
No work on the ladies today except to peek in at temps and humidity levels. My humidifier looks like a fog machine in there!
I think I was a bit lazy today. Good thing is, no one can fire me!
It is really nice here as well. Took a cruise in the jeep with my wife to the recreational shop next town over for some treats and it was a fun little date. First time we've been in there and it was something else. They grow almost everything on site indoors. Really cool operation.Man what a gorgeous evening on the porch tonight.
